No offence bro...but the below are the reasons y MIVEC doesnt open...got it from technical talk in MIVEC forum...

Low oil pressure This is usually due to low oil level so first thing to check is your oil. (Note: Gen2 engines have a slight design flaw in the oil pickup and e ven a small dent on the sump can cause a restriction. A few holes drilled at the bottom of the pickup tube fixes this problem). Its a good idea for cars 'depend ent' on oil pressure to be fitted with an Oil Pressure gauge. This can be a grea t early warning device for upcoming problems. If you post asking why your mivec is not working the first thing that will get asked is whats your oil pressure (b oth on and off mivec). You really need at least 60 PSI for the mivec to work and only about 10psi drop (or less) when mivec engages. If the Oil pressure drops a lot whem the mivec engages its probably due to mecha nical failure in the head. Check for lose/broken camshaft caps or worn camshaft tray. Low oil pressure is usually simply due to engine wear. Running a heavier g rade oil (like 20W60) may give some improvement but most of the time you will ne ed to have your engine rebuilt. ECU faults This could either be due to poor power supply (worn out capacitors) o r blown driver ICs. Either case requires the ECU to be serviced by a professiona l. Its recommended to have the capacitors replaced BEFORE you notice a problem o r as part of normal servicing at the 10 year old birthday. (1G models are partic ularly susceptible). By the time a problem presents, there may already be perman ent damage to the ECU. Engine not upto temperature It is normal for the MIVEC not to engage when the en gine is cold. This can also mean that if you have a faulty thermostat your engin e never gets warm enough for the MIVEC to operate. Make sure your temperature ga uge reads about mid scale during normal operating conditions. The temperature se nsor the ECU uses is not the same as the one for the gauge, so a faulty sensor c an also lead to mivec not operating. Stuck or blown solenoid valve Apply 12V to the terminals and ensure the valve op erates (audible click) You can remove the Solenoid (MD models have two) valve qu ite easily and give it a clean in suitable parts washer. Run parts washer thru t he valve with it open and closed to ensure its working properly and that its get s well cleaned. Dirty mivec rockers The pins that lock the rockers can get sticky with engine de posits over time. They should easily slide into the rocker. The pins have a thre aded hole in the top, and you can easily check how easily they slide using long M3 screw to test each pin. If any are found to be sticky, the rocker will need t o be disassembled and cleaned. Sensor Faults Dirty connectors, frayed/broken wires, or failed sensors can preve nt the ecu engaging mivec but generally this will also cause other drivability p roblems.. Its always good practice to get a diagnostic done (see section on diag nostic codes) to help rule out sensor failure, although some faults won't log a code so its never a 100% sure test. Electrical Turns out the extra connectors on the MIVEC V6 alternator are to powe r the MIVEC solenoid since it takes so much power for two of them. The test is s imply to start the engine and disconnect the negative terminal. If the engine di es the alternator or the components on the back of it are faulty. I still havent rule out 3 things only...alternator,oil pressure,ECU...Not all mi vec takes power from alternator...Only a few and DE3A engine(fto engine),is one of those that needs alternator power...
