Step 1: Purchase an Atmospheric Water Generator w/ Solar Panel

We can survive for weeks without food, but without water wed perish in a few days. A crucial investment for any freedom-lover, therefore, is an atmospheric water generator. Since these units must have electricity to operate (which may be unavailable during a crisis), its important to purchase a solar panel as backup. The well-known company EcoloBlue sells kits that include both the water generator as well as a solar backup system. The principle behind the device is simple: all aireven in the driest of desertscontains water vapor. Whenever this vapor comes into contact with cool, solid surfaces, it condenses to form dew. Atmospheric water generators harness this phenomenon to produce gallon after gallon of 99.99% pure drinking water daily. Even if youre not interested in preparing for a disaster, there are several reasons why you should still consider this technology. First of all, the presence of harmful compounds in tap water has been widely acknowledged in recent years. Even mainstream sources like The New York Times report that high levels of arsenic, lead, and barium regularly leech into city water systems,1 causing cancer, birth defects and other life-threatening ailments in millions of Americans. Also, the federal government has publically disclosed its unconstitutional goal of regulating private water sources. Take, for

example, the Clean Water Restoration Act,2 which has raised widespread fears that authorities in Washington may eventually seize control of all lakes, ponds, and rivers within the United States. Even if the American people manage to halt these attempted power grabs, or even if you live in an area with clean tap water, relying on the establishment to stay hydrated is far from a good idea. During natural disastersespecially earthquakescity water pipes can burst, leaving residents at the mercy of FEMA. Not to mention, droughts, fires, and hurricanes often have significant effects as well. A solar-powered, atmospheric water generator is the solution for all of these potential hazards. Dont wait; order one today! Note: If youre preparing for the ultimate end-of-the-world scenario, you can always keep additional water in long term storage tanks (available on many survival websites). This, coupled with your atmospheric generator, will make you virtually bulletproof.

Step 2: Stock Up On Dried Food

Second to having a reliable water source, storing food is the most important part of survival preparedness. Some preppers advocate stocking up on canned goods, but the disadvantage of this is twofold: cans take up lots of room and have a limited shelf life. Dried goods (both dehydrated and freeze-dried), on the other hand, can last for decades and are much more space-efficient. The ideal survival stash should consist of at least 6 months worth of foods that are nutritious and high in calories. Rice and beans should be your first priority, with pasta and other grains ranking second. Then you should consider nutritionally supplemental items like dried fruit, powdered milk, etc. When buying bulk food, you have two options: the first, of course, is to purchase and package the items yourself. If youre lazy, however, you can order from food storage companies like Survival Acres or Food Insurance. They provide ready-to-store packages of survival foods, complete with airtight seals and oxygen absorbers. If youre going to go about doing this yourself, it is advised that you to first stock up on the following dried foods: 1. 2. 3. 4. White rice 200 lbs. Beans 200 lbs. Pasta 100 lbs. Oats 100 lbs.

After youve purchased these, top off your stash with several containers full of: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Assorted dried fruits Peanut butter (excellent source of energy) Salt and sugar Honey (for a quick sugar boost) Powdered milk Trail mix Beef jerky

This list, of course, is not exhaustive, but it will be more than enough when times get difficult. Once again, remember to store your goods in airtight containers with oxygen absorber packets.

Step 3: Buy Guns and Ammunition

Its hard to predict exactly what will happen during an economic collapse, but theres one thing you can be sure of: millions of people will be angry and desperate. For this reason, you must be prepared to defend yourselfand a baseball bat wont be enough. What kind of gun should I buy? you might ask. Thats a good question, especially since there are hundreds of different varieties on the market. Ideally, you should have a firearm that packs a nasty punch and allows for quick follow-up shots. Many handguns do this job very well. In addition, theyre small, compact, and easy to conceal. Although any bullet can deter an intruder, its best to buy a handgun that fires a bullet with decent stopping-power. Handguns chambered for the 9mm cartridge, a common load used by police officers and civilians alike, are usually sufficient for most self-defense situations,3 although some people prefer more powerful bullets like the .45 ACP or .357 Magnum. In addition to a 9mm pistol, you should also consider buying a 12gauge, pump-action shotgun. When loaded with buckshot (the most common self-defense ammunition for shotguns), its stopping power at close ranges is virtually unmatched. You can find used shotguns in great condition at gun shows for less than $300.

Semi-automatic rifles such as AK-47s and AR-15s are also popular. While relatively expensive, they have their advantages, being more powerful than handguns and capable of holding much more ammunition than shotguns. Their accuracy and range is also superior to that of the above firearms. Regardless of which ones you choose, its essential that you know your weapons like the back of your hand. Practice loading, unloading, and cleaning your gunsand dont forget to sharpen your aim regularly at the local shooting range.

Step 4: Learn To Use Oil Lamps

Thousands of years before Jesus Christ walked the earth, humans were illuminating their homes with oil lamps. Safe, reliable and beautifully simple, these devices can be either purchased or constructed using a few household items. But first, I know youre probably wondering, why not candlesand what about light bulbs powered by solar energy? Well, in case you didnt already know, most candles today are made from paraffin, a hydrocarbon that emits toxic, carcinogenic compounds when burned.4 In the event of a total economic andsocial collapse, electricity may be unavailable for weeks or months, which means youll be exposed to these candle fumes for extended periods of time. If you planned on stockpiling light bulbs, I urge you to think twice. First of all, they drain valuable power from your solar systempower that would otherwise be reserved for your atmospheric water generator. Also, in addition to containing dangerous chemicals, light bulbs play a role in the globalist control grid. Governments have already mandated.5 that we purchase special, expensive, eco-friendly bulbs whose electromagnetic fields have been shown to cause health problems. Luckily, oil lamps are a cheap, practical solution to these problems. Many companies sell these lamps at reasonable prices (just do a

Google search and youll see), but constructing them yourself can be more fun and rewarding. Although they come in many shapes and sizes, the simple principle behind them is the same: a wick is placed in a reservoir of oil (almost any oil will work, although olive is often considered the best) and lit. The oil then travels up the wick where it is vaporized by the flame. Even small amounts of oil can last for hours. All you need is oil, a long wire, a wick, and a wide-mouthed jar. The technique is pretty simple: 1. Bend one end of the wire into a long hook. This will secure it to the edge of the jar. 2. Bend the other end into a much smaller hook, about two inches tall. This hook will sit at the bottom of the jar. 3. Squeeze the small metal hook onto about 2 inches of wick. 4. Pour oil into the jar until about of the wick is submerged. 5. Light the wick. Be sure to store quite a few gallons of oil in preparation for uncertain times. When disaster strikes, itll be too late for a lastminute supermarket trip. Mother Earth News provides detailed information on how to construct a basic oil lamp.6

Step 5: Invest In Precious Metals

Did you know that dollar bills arent really worth any more than Monopoly money? Its true. In the end, both are just pieces of paper. The only reason stores accept dollars is because the government has declared them to be the legal currency. Thats it. Even though this system of fiat money can function with relative stability for periods of time, it often fails us when we need it most, for such currency is not backed by any real wealth. During recessions, governments frequently increase the printing of paper money in hopes of correcting economic stagnation; unfortunately, however, as history demonstrates,7 this can be a recipe for disaster. With each additional dollar printed, inflation rates tend to rise, forcing the price of goods up. Unless the economy boosts its output, this process will eventually lead to devastating hyperinflation, the likes of which were witnessed in Weimar Germany in the 1920s. The only way, therefore, to preserve your wealth in the long run is to invest in something intrinsically valuablelike gold, silver, and other precious metals. Gold, of course, is usually the first that comes to mind. Whether you invest in gold stocks or own the metal itself, you have a far greater chance of surviving inflation than your dollar bill-hoarding

neighbors do. Before doing business, however, with any company/dealer, remember to ask yourself the following: 1. Is the source well known? Has it been advertised on legitimate radio or television networks? 2. Have you spoken with any of its customers? 3. How long has it been in business? 4. What are the credentials and experience of the people who run it? (These questions should be asked regardless of the metal youre investing in.) Many argue that silver is an equally profitable alternative, and some are even investing in exotic metals like platinum and palladium. In the end, its never a good idea to put all your candy in one box; instead, diversify your portfolio. A safe full of gold coins is better than nothing, but owning a variety of precious metals would be the optimum. Search the phonebook for reputable gold dealers in your area, or, if you so prefer, consult nationally advertised companies such as Rosland Capital or Goldline.

Step 6: Get Yourself a Portable Grill

Now that you have food and an endless supply of drinking water, you need something to cook with. Electric stoves (powered by your solar panel) are one choice, but theres a much more practical and reliable alternative: a portable, charcoal/wood powered grill. Available online or in sporting goods stores, these devices are compact, relatively inexpensive, and perfect for cooking survival meals or boiling water. When preparing for an emergency, its best if you keep several 20pound bags of charcoal briquettes. For short-term periods of chaos, this should be sufficient; however, if civil unrest draws on for longer than expected, you always have another source of fuel for your grillwood. In most areas of the country, trees can be found that provide suitable firewood. For people living near deciduous forests, hickory, maple, oak, ash and beech are the best choices. Survivalists residing in the West should use pine, birch, or spruce.8 Since all of these trees are fairly large, trying to chop them down will be very dangerous unless youre an experienced lumberjack. Instead, look for small, dry branches that can be easily broken off. If youre not already familiar with these species of trees, purchase a field guide so that youll be able to identify them; not all wood is safe to burn.

If youre wondering which grill to purchase, consider the popular Crisis Cooker (available at www.crisiscooker.com). It gives you the freedom of cooking with propane, wood, or charcoal. This is particularly convenient since you can switch between the three depending on availability.

Step 7: Buy Seeds

In the good old days, folks didnt rely on WalMart for fresh fruits and vegetables; they just paid a visit to their backyard garden. When the growing season drew to a close, theyd simply harvest the seeds and plant them the following year. This cycle of self-sufficiency sustained generation after generation. Since you never know how long a crisis might last, being able to grow your own food can be a great asset. Make sure the seeds you purchase are non-hybrid and non-genetically-modified. Here are some ideas to help you get started: Green beans: rich in antioxidants; grow well in many soil types Carrots: highly nutritious; great source of vitamin A Tomatoes: easy to grow; great source of fiber and vitamins A and C Cucumber: full of vitamin K which helps prevent osteoporosis and regulates blood-clotting Eggplant: contains antioxidants; easy to grow Squash: contains vitamin C, anti-inflammatory compounds and omega-3 fatty acids Melons: good source of natural sugars; pick and eat straight from vine Bell peppers: full of vitamin C, nutrients and antioxidants

Cabbage: contains many different vitamins; helps lower cholesterol If youre looking for a one-stop solution, however, you can buy prepackaged survival seed kits that contain many of these species and more. Once again, always check to make sure they are nonhybrid and non-genetically modified. Solutions From Science, a popular company specializing in emergency preparedness, offers the Survival Seed Bank, which contains 22 different varieties of seeds that can be stored for decades. Hurry! Buy seeds today!

Step 8: Stockpile Alcohol and Cigarettes

Ruin your liver and lungs? No. Listen carefully: In the aftermath of an inflationary collapse, many people will turn to barteringexchanging goods directly. Rather than paying five dollars for a neighbors wrench, they will simply offer him a box of rifle cartridges as payment. Now, consider the millions of Americans who will be desperate for cigarettes and alcohol once the stores are empty. These people will probably give just about anything for a chance to quench their addiction. At this point, your cartons of Marlboro and bottles of Smirnoff become currency! Some alcoholic beverages can be stored for longer periods than others. Unlike wine and beer, distilled spirits, such as whiskey, vodka, rum, gin, and tequila, will stay good for a lifetime9 if unopened. Ideally, you should stock up on tiny bottles of these (often called miniatures) and store them in a cool, dark place. Cigarettes will last for a relatively long time if theyre properly sealed and kept in a dry location. Even if they do get stale, chainsmokers certainly wont care. Remember: when bartering, dont give people any reason to suspect you are well-stocked; they might try to rob you. Instead, act as if

youre desperate, too. Wearing stained, ragged clothes might make your act even more convincing. In post-collapse America, a little street-smarts could save your life; dont barter anything unless you absolutely must, keep your mouth shut, and mind your own business!

Step 9: Remember Important Miscellaneous Items

Soap Toilet paper Electric heater (for emergency warmth) Prescription medicines Blankets Towels/washcloths Plastic/metal cups for measuring water and food (no glassit might break!) Silverware Toothbrush/toothpaste/dental floss Chemical toilet Pot for cooking/boiling water Fire extinguisher

First aid kit Extra contacts/eye glasses Pen and paper for taking notes Water purification tablets (if something, God forbid, happens to your atmospheric water generator) Flashlights Mirror (you still may want to look good) Binoculars Pepper spray Emergency radio Pocket knife Waterproof matches/flint fire starter

Final Word
Remember: its never a good idea to spend your days obsessively worrying about what might happen in the future; youll rob yourself of present enjoyment. Always be prepared, but dont allow yourself to be gripped by fear. Look to the future with a spirit of optimism and boldness, even if unfortunate circumstances appear to be closing in. I sincerely hope this guide will help you prepare for the unknown. Be sure to stay informed through alternative news websites, and always remain vigilant of the world around you. This great country has been through many trials in the past, and has always come out stronger and more united. Regardless of what comes your way, never lose heart, and remember that God is always on the side of those who take a stand against evil. May God bless you, my fellow Americans!
