New features in DHI Software

At DHI we take pride in the continuous development of our software products. Each year new features or other improvements are added to most of our products. Often based on suggestions by the users. Retrieving license files

As a new feature, the DHI Software license file may be retrieved using the Internet. Please note that a working Internet connection, a valid email address and a valid DHI Software dongle are required. The license file may be retrieved in two ways: During installation of DHI Software After installation of DHI Software, by launching the DHI Software License Updater through the start menu

To retrieve your license file during installation of DHI Software, select Local when prompted to Select Type of License Management. In the next dialog Choose DHI Software License File Location select Internet and follow the on-screen instructions. To update your license file using the DHI Software License Updater, simply launch Start-> Programs -> DHI Software -> DHI License Updater and follow the on-screen instructions. If you do not have access to the Internet or encounter problems getting the license file, you may receive the license file by diskette or personal e-mail. In which case please contact DHI Software.

DHI Software on Windows XP Professional x64 Edition

DHI Software 2005 now supports Windows XP Professional x64 Edition. Products supporting Windows XP Professional x64 Edition include: DIMS LITPACK MIKE 11 MIKE 21 MIKE 3 MIKE Animator MIKE NET MIKE SHE MIKE STORM MIKE VIEW MIKESWMM MOUSE

When using Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, the driver for the DHI Software dongle must be installed manually. On Windows XP Professional x64 Edition only USB dongles are supported. If you do not have an USB dongle, please contact DHI at software@dhi.dk to obtain one. During the installation process of DHI Software on Windows XP Professional x64 Edition when local license mode is selected you are asked to view the x64 installation guide line. This

is the guideline. It can be found on the DVD in the folder Dongle_Driver\x64, or after installation in the Program Files (x86)\Common Files\DHI\Dongle_Driver_x64 folder.

Installation of the dongle driver on Windows XP Professional x64 Edition

1. Plug the USB dongle into the USB port. The Found New Hardware Wizard will appear. 2. When asked whether to connect to Windows Update, select No, not this time and press Next. 3. Select Install from a list or specific location and press Next. 4. Select Dont search. I will choose the driver to install and press Next. 5. Select Show all devices and press Next. 6. Click the Have Disk button. 7. Browse to the directory \Dongle_Driver\x64 on the DHI Software DVD, and select the file sntusb64.inf. Press Open, OK and Next. 8. A warning is displayed, saying that the USB SuperPro driver has not passed Windows Logo testing. Click Continue Anyway. 9. Select Finish The driver is now installed.
