Contents 1. Industry Profile

You can use EBSCO available at your Institute and Google to get the same.

2. Organizational Profile You need to collect and present information concerning development of the organization in various functional areas - finance, marketing, human resource management etc. You need to emphaise more on the functional area to which your study is connected. You will be required to collect information regarding the organisation from all the secondary sources available in the organisation where you are undergoing your summer training as well as from the web.

3. Need for the Study Here you need to rationalise your study. You have to underpin the relevance of the study for organisation in which you are serving. Specifically you need to indicate in which way your study help in formulating, understanding and offering solution to the present study.

4. Literature Survey.

The intent of this part is to give details of at least 20 studies conducted in this area. For example, if your study is related to job satisfaction, you hav-e" to details twenty similar studies conducted in different organisations. Details concerning such studies can be collected from EBSCO available at your institute.

5. Research Methodology

o Objectives of the Study You have to state the objective of your study in following manner: Main objective (it should be only one or at the most two); Supplementary objective can be more than two but not more than five)

Hypothesis Types of Research Design Sample Design Sample Unit Sample Frame Type of Sampling Method Sample Size Data ( primary and secondary) Research Instrument - Here you have to specify questionnaire by which you will be measuring variable in case of marketing and HR studies. For

example, in case you are measuring customer satisfaction, you need to mention as to who has developed that questionnaire.

You have to mention it like this - Customer Satisfaction will be measured using the scale by Mary and John (2000). This means that two authors whose sir name is Mary and John have developed this questionnaire. Don't forget to put its complete reference at the end of Chapter. o Analysis tools used - Statistical techniques used should be mentioned here. You also are required to state the statistical analysis software that you use. Most likely you will be using P ASW 18.0 available in the you ,labs, you can mention the same.

6. Analysis of the study

Here you need to present the analysis which you have done using software. The analysis you have to present should preferable be objective-wise or hypotheses-wise. You can use tables and graphs to depict your results. You are advised to paste the output in the same form that you have received after running the analysis beneath the table you are required to explain the output put in the table.

7. Findings and Suggestions

In this chapter, you have to reproduce findings from your earlier chapter. Based on your findings you have to offer your solutions that will require an input of creativity from your side. Your suggestions will actually reflect upon your understanding of organization and problem that you tried to attend to.

This will not be a part of chapter scheme. Under this heading you have to append questionnaire that you used to collect data. You can also append balance sheets or other financial details on which your study is based.

09. Bibliography

Here you have to state all the resources that you referred to complete your study. Such resources may include books, articles, reports, websites etc. List of websites should be given separately.

Remarks

You can't copy from anywhere till you accredit the source. In case you are writing conclusion or finding of any publication in your own word, you are required to accredit it as as follows:

A: Ram (1980) has proved.. Empirical evidence (Bhardwaj, 1980; Ghosh. 1991; Saha 2003)

B: Reference should be given on a separate page doubled spaced at the end of the paper. They should carry the surname of the author. Followed by the other names. year of publications, title of the paper/book in quotes, name of the journal. place of publications and publisher's name (in case of book).

Example: Book Reference should be sen., A.K. (1991). Contemporary issues in HRD, New Delhi Sage Publication.

For Journal: Ghosh, P. K. & Walter, T.P. (2003). Work Environment in the Banking Organization, Journal of Applied Psychology, 5 , 123-124

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO: There might be many project reports available at the organisation. In no case you should try to use it as your project. Stringent action against you will be taken if such instance come to our notice. We can also use some software to identify such cases of disparaging. You don't have a liberty to take breaks during your summer training. There are no breaks in summer training. You are expected to be submissive during your training period. Don't be a part of any scuffle at the organisation. Don't try to extract any proprietary information from the organisation. Go by the time schedule of the organization. Be brief with your supervisor. You need to appreciate that he is an employee of the organisation with definite time line. You also need to use the time resources optimally. You have to submit a preliminary report at the organisation at the end of training and complete it using state of art statistical tools and literature available at EBSCO, after your return at the Institute.
