Present premier leaders of Malaysia, a country with robust economy due to its wealth of resources,believe that Malaysia will progress further if it permeates into manufacturingbased,export interest economy anchored by high information and communication tchnology. (ICT) As the core of Multimedia Super Corridor which is Malaysiasuccess vision to the

development and advancement of ICT, Cyberjaya has a mammoth task in proliferating Malaysias economic dynamics by navigating the advancement of ICT industry and technology . A survey conducted by Boston Consulting Group e-intensity index in 2010,which measures the amount of internet activities that shows the nations supply and demand for internet infrastrucrture services, revealed that Malaysia is not in the forefront for several digital economic indicators .The research also showed that the strength of a countrys digital economy is directly proportional to its GDP per capita. The transformation of Malaysia is therefore greatly enhanced by digital technology which interconnects and influences business details and deals. The 12 National Key Economics Areas have also recognised ICT as the projectile of the countrys economic growth.The prominence and dominance of Digital Malaysia has been reiterated as one of the 12 Pillars under the new Transformation Policy. Hence Cyberjaya,with its secretariat, Cybersecurity, needs to project Malaysia as a global ICT hub capable of innovation , creativity and productivity that will eventually lead to a more prosperous Malaysia.It must also be a catalyst to nurture and attract local or foreign talents and pools of resources.

Cyberjaya must also revolutionise the ICT industry by creating an ecosystem that utilizes perpetually digital technology in every aspect of economy to enhance productivity and the countrys prosperity through the three nations Strategic Thrust. The first strategict thrust shifts supply to demand-focused which prioritises a new class of digital entrepreneurs through demand focused- initiative.The second strategic thrust

alters Malaysias role of being the consumers to producers , inculcating a new generation of IT-savvy youths . Simultaneously to boost productivity among small/medium enterprise(SME), adoption of automation and technology driven knowledge must be ostensible through the third strategic thrust that will escalate and maximize ICT knowledge. Hence,to boost the GNI through digital economy,Cyberjaya must scour for digital projects that will convince foreign and local ICT conglomerates that Cyberjaya is the ideal test-bed and excellent foundation to service their clients worldwide. It is hoped that attractive government policies like tax exemption, superb infrastructure, duty free multimedia equipments / components , sophisticated and advanced telecommunications and quality workforce will allure more investors to Cyberjaya, enabling it to morph into a mega metropolis that will transform Malaysia into a high income nation by 2020 .
