FIRE HITS PRAAG!

West-Side Damaged, Temples Desecrated
Yesterday evening, Bezaltag, 18th Erntezeit, fire raged across the West-Side of Praag after a Winged Lancer raid on the much adored alms house His Holy Kitchen. In the conflagration, twelve lives have been lost, including six patrons of the alms house itself. The identities of the other victims were not released. After speaking with Captain Kurzitch, the senior Winged Lancer on the scene, we can report that the cause of this inferno is being covered-up! We found evidence that the fire was in fact arson, yet the Captain maintained that it was caused by loose embers below the basins that supposedly caught on the old wooden floors and discarded rushes left by a careless house keeper. Bear-shit, I say. Utter bear-shit. There has been speculation that this is a ULF bombing, but, rest assured, it shows no signs of the Ungols at work. Further, the alms house worked for the Ungol poor more than it did the Gospodarinya, so it seems an unlikely target of their ire. However, we can report that Matron Haphasta at the Temple of Salyak reported to have spoken to two elves that very morning regarding the alms house. She would not say their intent, but accuses the sharpears of slander and misconduct. The Matron went on the describe to her charge smoke damage to the wards, and scorching along the floors; hardly as pressing a concern as thousands of now-starving poor, but the Matron refused to comment on their plans for the alm-less city. The Temple of Dazh rebutted with excuses that they do not control ash, merely fire, but this was evidently not enough for the acolytes of the Wolf-God.
