POV #4: Al Qaeda attacked on 9/11 because of their ambitious desire to build a vast Muslim empire throughout the Middle East with which they would have to wipe out all the Jews in Israel. -for Islamic countries to wipe out the Jews in Israel, it meant opposing the United States and battling its support for Israel. -the purpose of the attack was to weaken the assistance Israel was receiving from the United States or possibly break it in order to invade and conquer Israel easily. -the ambition of building a vast Muslim empire throughout the Middle East has caused the Al Qaeda to attack, determined to wipe out the hated Jews in Israel who were benefiting from the once Muslims land. -the attack was an admonishment of any support of Israel. Military POV #5: Al Qaeda attacked on 9/11 because of the presence of U.S. troops in Saudi Arabia, which was seen, to Osama bin Laden and the Al Qaeda, as a provocation toward the Middle East since it was the holiest of places among the lands of Islam. - Osama bin Laden felt that the troop of U.S. was violating the holy place in Saudi Arabia -the sacred places in Saudi Arabia, Mecca and Medina, was so highly respected that when American troops were sent into Saudi Arabia, the Muslims were extremely upset. -Al Qaeda felt that the Americans were too near to Mecca. POV #6: Al Qaeda attacked on 9/11 because they were planning for the U.S. to respond, possibly raising a war against the Middle East, which could potentially unite all the Islamic countries to revolt against the U.S. -the attack was a lure to the U.S. to announce a war against Middle East countries which, in the hope, would motivate all the Muslim countries to respond with unity. -Al Qaeda wanted more allies willingly ready to battle the U.S. at anytime. -to revolt in unity against the United States ultimately means a greater chance to successfully build a Muslim empire since the people would then be on the same line of the battlement which would make them agree in unity of any cost. Conclusion: The main reasons why Al Qaeda attacked the United States on 9/11 were their rage for the violation the American troops had conducted by entering their religious holy land in Saudi Arabia. The attack, principally, was to support their ambition to build a Muslim country and unite all the Islamic countries in the Middle East to battle the United States. Word Count: 859
