Main Point: Discuss how God freely gives us wisdom when we ask Him and receive by faith without wavering. James 1:5-7 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. In your childhood, you may recall your grandparents explaining that the reason why there hair was gray was due to wisdom because of old age. However, the perspective on the term wisdom in todays society is often viewed as something you achieve with maturity. Perhaps we only understand wisdom as a generational term and relate it to great men and women. Practically, wisdom is needed in our everyday life for every situation. God wants us to simply ask for it! Its now time for believers to stop holding back from receiving, just ask! What is wisdom? In the Greek language, it is the word Sophia.
