The Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology, Pune was formed in 2008 with the aim of giving young budding engineers an opportunity to dream beyond boundaries and break regular trends of placements. We strive towards developing an independent thought process in the students, inspiring them to make global presence and contribute to national economy and the nations international perception. To further our activities and bring together the like-minded individuals of the upcoming generation, we are conducting a National Convention, to be conducted over a period of 3 days from 27th December, 2012 to 29th December, 2012. This being the first of its kind is a novel concept, bringing together students and industry professionals on a common platform. We solicit your gracious presence for the Inaugural Ceremony of the National Convention as the Chief Guest. It would truly be an honour for us to interact with you and have you share your experience as an entrepreneur with us.

The Organization
ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CELL was formed in 2008.The core values and definition of the organization are contained within its very name: Entrepreneurship, which signifies a spectrum of inherent qualities like innovation, courage, confidence, passion and enthusiasm. Development, that connotes hunger & curiosity of our members to learn & implement. Cell, which indicates that it is not a colossal crowd; rather it is a small cluster of students who possess the unique quality of thinking beyond the obvious. Since its inception, EDC-VIIT has achieved significant milestones under the Chief Mentorship of Prof. (Dr.) R.S.Acharya and support from VIIT Management. Success is a journey, not a destination has been the vital dictum behind all the activities of EDC, with

innovation and Improvisation being the mantra in EDCs working culture. This is evident from the fact that we have included new domains in our organizational structure this year such as Chief Believe Officer, Branding & Promotions and most importantly Human Resource to enhance the level of professionalism and promote corporate work ethics. This replicates our broad-minded outlook toward our vision and mission as these domains are not only unique to EDC among all other existing student organizations but are also put into practice effectively. In order to sharpen the skills of our members and bridge the prevailing gap between college campus and the corporate world, a wide array of initiatives are undertaken by EDC which include training sessions, competitions, industrial tours, and novel internal activities.

VISION
Achieving perfect amalgamation of technical expertise, leadership & managerial skills to produce global citizens & pioneers on the path of Entrepreneurship. The Entrepreneurship Development Cell of VIIT aims at giving VIITians an opportunity to dream beyond boundaries and break regular trends. It aims to instill the passion among the VIITians for entrepreneurship to make global presence and contribute to national economy and the nations international perception. To this end, the cell is committed in imparting entrepreneurship skills in the quality engineers produced by our institute and to equip them with the correct ethical and leadership qualities, in conformation with the current and the future market scenarios.

NATIONAL CONVENTION & ENTREPRENEURS Summit

Good Business leaders create a vision, passionately own the vision & relentlessly drive it to completion. EDC has always strived to inculcate an entrepreneurial attitude and mindset in engineering students since its inception. A platform to groom this mindset was provided by setting up an incubation centre in VIIT.

To achieve this motto, we have planned to

host a National Level Convention to provide a golden opportunity for students to interact with the intellectuals from various industrial sectors.

Highlights
Various sessions to be held with a chance to interact with maestros from domains like : Information Technology Mechanical Civil Service Banking A special Session on Personality Development to enhance various aspects of an individual. We also plan to conduct a Session & a Competition on B-Plan to hone Entrepreneurial Skills.
