TOURIST VISA - 'T' (MALAYSIAN PASSPORT)

Tourist Visa is granted to a Malaysian / Foreigner who does not have a residence or Occupation in India and whose sole objective of visiting India is recreation, sight-seeing, casual visit to meet friends and relatives. No other activity is permissible on a Tourist Visa. The Tourist Visa is non - extendable and nonconvertible. *REQUIREMENTS: APPLICATION WITH FALSE & INCORRECT INFORMATION WIL BE REJECTED 1) There should be a gap of 60 days from date of last exit from India and next entry into India 2) Application form is to be completed ELECTRONICALLY ONLY in all respects. Applications with incomplete details are liable to be rejected. 3) Form to be signed at two places; below the photograph and last page by the applicant only 4) 2 recent coloured photographs (2 inches X 2 inches) with white background ONLY 5) Passport valid for 6 months with minimum two blank pages 6) Address of referees in Malaysia and India to be furnished in detail 7) Travel & Tour Itinerary 8) Journalists applying for Tourist Visa requires letter from employer. Visa to be applied as Journalist Visa 9) Application fee of RM161.56 including RM1.56 service fee (either single or double entry: validity from 1 month to maximum 6 months) 10) Takes 3 working days for submission at India Visa Centre, Kuala Lumpur 11) Additional form (NON-RESIDENTIAL FORM) to be filled in for applicants born in China & Pakistan or descendant of Pakistan or descendant of pakistan. .

All visa application is subject to approval by the High Commission of India. No guarantee that Visa applicant will get approval for his / her Indian Visa application, including obtaining requested length of Visa validity & number of entries into India. Traveling to Neighboring Countries of India & Re-Entering India Within 60 days Restriction on Tourist Visa When a traveler enters neighboring countries of India, one must obtain a Re-Entry Permit into India for reentering India within 60 days restriction. This can be obtained at country border authorities. However, traveler must have minimum double entries on his / her valid Visa before entering into neighboring countries of India; if he/she plans to come back to India after visiting neighboring countries. Below is a brief example : Re-Entry Procedures A traveler holding valid Tourist Visa with double entries, traveling from Malaysia to India; and from India, decides to go to Nepal & plans to come back to India: Malaysia to India (1st entry on Visa used) -> India to Nepal [must obtain Re-Entry Permit from border/airport authorities before exiting India (for re-entering India back from Nepal within 60 days restriction] -> Nepal to India (2nd entry on Visa shall be used).

*IMPORTANT NOTE:
For approved Visa application, Visa validity starts from the date of applicant's passport submission with Visa Balance Fee payment to the India Visa Centre for approved Visa application processing. Approval and collection of passport with Visa takes minimum8WORKING DAYS from application submission date. Approved Visa application form is kept for maximum 1 MONTH at the India Visa Centre for applicant to come over & submit passport for Visa. If applicant does not submit passport within 1 month from Visa application approval date, approved application will be returned to the embassy. (The High Commission of India) If the applicant wishes to travel to India after approved application is returned to the embassy (The High Commission of India), applicant has to put in a fresh visa application, again.
