UPCOMING EVENTS

YAY!...They Did It!!!!!

Education is universally recognized as the most fundamental building block for human development and poverty reduction. As such, many firms and outreach organizations have shifted their focus to the promotion of educational programmes in schools and other alternative solutions at the developmental stages which aims at preparing children for transition into mainstream society. KIND has always been about our nations little ones as we strongly believe that they are the present and the future. As such, we aim to provide their basic needs, lend support and offer them a way out of the cultured stigmatisation that has plagued their individual communities. As such, it is with great pride and excitement that KIND extends our hearty CONGRATULATIONS to our clients who sat the SEA, CSEC and CAPE Examinations 2011 and were successful in their efforts. We are truly encouraged to keep up our efforts of Building T&T one family at time.

Our Librarys Booming!

In August 2010 construction of the new wing at the KIND Centre began. This addition to the centre is an expansion of the Integrated Literacy Development Programme courtesy the Republic Bank of Trinidad & Tobgao. This summer, with generous donations from St. Andrews Private School and fellow NGO Growing Leaders, KIND was able to fully stock our library with books from various genres. Thanks Donors!

Happy Universal Childrens Day Morvant/Laventille

Report of the UN Secretary-General (2001) KIND in collaboration with TSTT Blink Vigilance Call Centre Department celebrated this auspicious day by donating gifts of over 350 books, KIND memorabilia buttons and snacks to four schools within the Morvant/Laventille district. Ms. Wendy Carrington - Manager of Telesales, engaged the children of Laventille Girls in a very hearty discussion about the benefits of reading, the importance of volunteering and the purpose of NGO's and Charities like ours.
