Scroll Jar In 1947, a goat herder stumbled upon a cave filled with clay jars holding parchment scrolls. He was looking for a lost goat. Instead, he found the greatest manuscript discovery of our time the Dead Sea Scrolls. On Friday, Sept. 14, we will see the 21 Dead Sea Scroll fragments that are on display at Southwestern Seminarys MacGorman Performing Arts Center. The exhibition includes ancient artifacts, a host of interactive exhibits, an authentic black goat-hair Bedouin Tent, and the Simulated Qumran Archaeological Dig Site a fully functioning dig experience. Dont miss this once-in-a-lifetime chance to see the oldest-known manuscripts of the book that changed everything. Drop off will be Friday, SEPT. 14, 2012 at 10:15 a.m. at the SOUTHWESTERN SEMINARY in FORT WORTH at the new MacGorman Performing Arts Center at the corner of Boyce & Stanley Avenue (MacGorman Performing Arts Center & Chapel - 4616 Stanley Avenue, Fort Worth.) PARENTS/GUARDIANS are always invited to participate on our study/fun trips. Students without shirts tucked in, polished shoes, and belts on will not be allowed to participate.
FINANCIAL: Group Ticket Price: $9.00 for students 12 years of age and under. Students 13 and older are $15.00 ADULTS are (hold on to your hat!) $25.00. Students are NOT to leave the exhibit at any time for any reason, including the need to secure a ride, without the knowledge and approval of Dr. or Mrs. Anderson. Students are required to let Dr. Anderson know when your ride has arrived and with whom you are leaving and ask your child if this has been done. Pick-up will be at the Anderson School at 3:15 p.m. Please Do NOT drop your child(ren) off early or without Dr. and Mrs. Anderson present. Please call and let us know if you will be late.
