TRANSIT HUB
NEW ROCHELLE TRANSIT CENTER: NORTH AVENUE & STATION PLAZA NORTH As the downtown evolves into a vibrant destination, the New Rochelle Transit Center has become a hub for local and interstate traffic needing parking and a connection to other modes of transportation. As a transit-oriented development, the Center has spurred local, mixed-use economic development projects, such as the Davenport Lofts on Main, 543 Main Condominiums, Trump Plaza, Avalon-onthe-Sound, 32 Burling Lane and more. These residential, mixed-use projects foster a reciprocal relationship by providing population density which helps ensure ridership, while the Center offers valuable transportation-related services, resulting in a sustainable investment. Capitalizing on the transit hub and access corridors, we are actively pursuing a more robust office presence, with a special focus on development sites in close proximity to the Transit Center.
New Rochelle Train Station and $20.5 million multi-modal transit facility 940-space parking spaces, Amtrak and Metro-North rail service, Bee-Line bus, taxi/limo/airport service, auto rental (highest volume outside of NYC airports), bicycle amenities, and caf.
