Master and Slave

Communications between the MASTER and SLAVE is by radio or cable link. The Portable Traffic Signals have an in-built fail safe system such that they will automatically rever t to flashing yellow operation in the event that a hazardous, incompatible or other fault condition occurs.

Our CS-200 Model Solar Portable Traffic Signal Systems comply with Australian Standard AS4191-1994 Portable Traffic Signal Systems and various State Road Authority Specifications. Por table Traffic Signals are used where temporary control of vehicular traffic is required, such as at road or bridge works. It provides two main forms of control via shuttle control and plant-crossing control. The equipment is comprised of two electronic controllers known as MASTER and SLAVE mounted in a trailer unit that is capable of being split with each unit being positioned separately on the work site.

The dual-trailer system allows the trailers to be connected together so that it can be towed as one individual unit. This capability allows the system to be towed to the job site using one vehicle. The Por table Traf fic Signals are capable of operating under manual or automatic control and each separate unit is fully self-contained and powered by batter y with a solar charging system. The fully lockable steel enclosure protects the controller and batteries from the elements and vandalism. The water-resistant remote control lets you operate the system up to 1km (LOS) from the master control and features an LCD display. The unit operates up to 8 hours on an internal rechargeable battery.

AGD202 Radar Vehicle Detector All Portable Traffic Signal Systems are fitted with Australian Standard AS2144-2002 Traffic Signal Lanterns 200mm, 3 aspect LED Lanterns. Radio-Link Communications The A1 Roadlines range of Portable Traf fic Signal Systems employs sophisticated radio-link communications between the two trailers. This ensures constant, reliable communications in all operating modes.
The AGD202 Radar Vehicle Detector is designed to be mounted near the red aspect of the traffic signal lantern pointing towards the oncoming traffic. The detector has a single zone of detection stretching from the radar to typically 60m along the carriageway. The detection zone is such that only vehicles approaching the detector are detected and vehicles travelling away from the detector are ignored.

Scorpion Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA)

The Scorpion Model C TL-3 Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA) is mounted to a shadow vehicle for purposes of protecting the work crew in front of the shadow vehicle and protecting the motorist that might drive into the lane closed off by the shadow vehicle.

The Scorpion Model C TL-3 TMA is designed to conveniently fold up and over the flat bed or tipper truck during transport and storage. The compact design and balanced weight distribution makes it ideal for high-speed travel. Its low profile and open tubular design are beneficial in minimising wind resistance and drag, enabling you to drive at freeway speeds safely, as well as increasing rear visibility. The Scorpion TL-3 TMA consists of strut and cartridge sections that are linked together on a support frame. The curved side rails are made from corrosion resistant aluminium tubes, which of fer full width impact protection along the entire length of

the TMA . The side rails were designed to re-direct errant vehicles away from the rear of the truck (coffin corner). The aluminium boxes are filled with a moisture proof, aluminium honeycomb material. The boxes, together with the curved side rails, absorb the energy from an impacting vehicle. The aluminium boxes are painted with a bright yellow powdercoated finish, for lasting durability. Upon impact, the Scorpion TMA crushes in progressive stages. When hit by a lighter vehicle weighing approximately 820kg, travelling at speeds up to 100 km/h, the impact will crush the cartridge section of the

A1 Roadlines also specialises in the manufacture of TMA trucks and are tailor made to meet state specifications for TMAs and customer requirements.

Scorpion. When hit by a heavier vehicle, such as a truck or 4WD weighing approximately 2000kg, travelling at speeds up to 100km/h, both the strut and cartridge sections will crush, absorbing the energy from the impact. Incidental damage sometimes occurs during backing-up or turning corners. With Scorpions modular design and construction, only the portions of the TMA that are damaged need to be replaced. The Scorpion TL-3 TMA has been tested and passed all optional and mandatory requirements of NCHRP350 Test Level 3 (TL-3) and can be used in work zones up to 100 km/h.

Scorpion Trailer Attenuator

Trailer Attenuator
The Scorpion Trailer Attenuator from TrafFix Devices Inc. has also been tested and passed all optional and mandatory requirements of NCHRP 350, Test Level 3 (TL-3) and can be used in work zones up to 100 km/h.

Features: Only Trailer Attenuator tested and approved when attached to a 4.5 tonne host vehicle. Single point attachment to standard 20,000kg (minimum) rated pintle hook is quick and easy. The unique curved design gives full width protection to the back of the host vehicle and protects the coffin corners of the truck. Rear axle placement improves trailer stability and prevents the tail from bottoming out on driveways or uneven surfaces. Available in a shorter (3.8m) lower speed TL-2 (70 km/h) model, which is ideal for congested city streets. Optional Type C LED Flashing Arrow Sign can easily be attached to the Scorpion Trailer Attenuator. Telescoping Anti-Rotational System (TARS) minimises Scorpion Trailer rotation during angled impacts and prevents trailer separation from host vehicle. The Scorpions proven modular design crushes in progressive stages allowing quick and economical replacement of damaged parts.

GL3000 Guidance Lasers

The GL3000 Series Lasers use an ultra high visibility green Laser to establish visual line control. Depending on the model, the operator adjusts the laser spot to the desired reference point on the road surface using a remote control panel located in the cab of the vehicle or manually at the laser. The laser spot is impacted directly on the road surface about 10 to 30 feet ahead, showing the operator exactly where the vehicle is relative to on line. The Laser spot is on the road ahead of the operator so that the reference is in the driving field of view instead of a TV screen or boom pointer. GL3000P The GL3000P Guidance Laser uses an ultra high visibility green laser to establish visual line control for the vehicle driver. Used for highway paint striping, asphalt distributors, road wideners, pavement profilers, or virtually any application requiring vehicle line control. GL3000P model is for truck mounting. GL3000PM The GL3000PM Guidance Laser uses an ultra high visibility green laser to establish visual line control. Used for highway paint striping, asphalt pavers, road wideners, pavement profilers, or virtually any application requiring vehicle line control. A lightweight machine with all the output youll need (up to 4.7 litres per minute, max tip size .036). The GMax II 3900 also has the SmartControl which enables full control over the pump and its functions via its easy to read LCD readout. The GMax II 3900 also has Gracos ProConnect system which allows the pump to be removed without tools for easy repair. No other pump has this function. The RoadLazer Roadpak modular striping system allows you to either simply hook up an exclusive single hitch 1 or 2 pump striping system or, better yet, simply hook up an exclusive slide-in 1 or 2 pump striping system. Installation of the RoadPak System will depend on the number of options you choose but plan for 1 to 3 hours depending on your final choice of systems.
