The DNC Convention

So let me get this straight. The party which is all about women, had a woman on stage who lied about her Indian heritage to get ahead professionally, had an immature 30 year old who thinks people should pay for her birth control (about $9 a month by the way) and abortions all the way up until and including the ninth month, gave thanks to Ted Kennedy who killed a woman, and the keynote speaker was a guy that cheated on his wife with an intern (in the Whitehouse) and lied about it. And the DNC Chair is a guy that has four kids by three different women who cheated on his wife with a local news anchor in Los Angeles. All on a day where the Democrats "boo" God and Jerusalem after apparently getting a 2/3rds vote to change the platform but we all know it wasn't 2/3rds of the people approving on the floor. LOL. The best part was seeing Michelle Obama's pissed off look while Bill Clinton went 50 minutes on stage. Bill knew what he was doing and Michelle didn't like that "The Chosen One" was upstaged. You can't make this stuff up.

The World On Fire

Christi Conner Tate We have such short memories. The ever-changing timeline of the Benghazi Embassy attack isn't the first spin-job cast by this administration about Libya and what's happening. Face it: The fibbing is to hide this Obama foreign policy fail. Make no mistake: every president has one. It's just unprecedented that this one isn't being analyzed by anyone except amateurs such as me and that's the dangerous precedent that's in play and makes this event worthy of continued discussion. And, we're not paying attention. We need to do better and demand the same from government and the fourth estate. In March of 2011 we went into Libya, Obama promised, "no boots on the ground." by April, the promise was broken. It was naive to believe, escalation happens, but our commander-in-chief has to be square with us. Be real, most Americans believed "no boots in Libya" because we aren't required to know how much groundwork must be done in an air mission. So: Now we have operatives looking for weapons left ... by our boots on the ground. Officially there were only four military personnel there. Yes. Hard to believe but we did. The other boots were instead worn CIA operatives, AKA contractors. The fact that this wasn't our military on the ground was supposed to give us comfort, but it shouldn't. The rules are changing and ironically, with more engagements perpetuated by secret ops, the rules won't matter because scrutiny is difficult if not impossible. Couple secret, no-borders ops with the power to alter history and world-wide rules of engagement, with a press who loves a leader rather than watches him for our sakes, we have the seeds of trouble. It's the stuff of movies that could come home to roost. As Hezbollah, connected to Iran who really wants us gone with Israel, is found in Mexico, what do you think our border will mean? Zip. Connect the dots: This past September, the press had analyzed actions by the Bush administration and it was reported that the CIA had perhaps mistreated Libyan rebels prior to the "Arab Spring." The dots weren't connected. Think about it: The same Islamist extremists, who were the source of pain in Muammar's regime, were some of the freedom fighters, and now the attackers of our embassy. When we went into Libya, how could the administration say, "We don't know who these people are and we should be careful with weapons and sharing tactics." WE KNEW who they were. But, the dilemma is the Libyans we see who want peace and who tolerated oppression because as brutal as Muammar could be, it kept AQ in Benghazi as subdued as could be under the circumstances. The only hope these people have is if those AQ fighters recognize that we're in town, unapologetic and unafraid. Like it or not, we broke it, we own it. I'm worried about jobs, social issues and the economy, but none of it will matter if we're not safe. We simply are not safe with another four years of kumbaya foreign policy. We cannot be allies with even portions of AQ even to liberate a country from a tyrant. And that is precisely what we did and now the world is on fire.

DUMBING DOWN AMERICA

I loved the article on educationNOW IT ALL CLICKS INTO PLACEI can assure you that it
~3~

has found a home in corporate America and is thriving!!! My personal responsibility is very strong and my since of right and wrong is very strongmy GRAY-AREA is EXTREMELY NARROW!!! Government and BUSINESS gray-area is extremely widetheir right & wrong is extremely narrow! I always wondered why in my discussions with management when it came down to right & wrong (noncriminal) that the course of action for their (mgt.) bonuses and promotions was the route always taken. As an example: I work in a repair facility for utility equipment. When we scrap a unit of equipment wed save all the usable parts to fix other units in the future. Then the U.S. I.R.S. decides to tax these parts, management decides to scrap an throw-away these parts instead of paying taxes. Now units arrive that we can fix but have no parts to fix them with and we cant order new parts (for whatever reason) so the units are scrapped and thrown away. Now we have to buy new units at 90%+ the cost of what we could have repaired them for if we had the parts. Needless to say after 27 years-plus (undergraduate degree) with the utility company I keep my mouth shut and do not voice my opinion at the risk of being unemployed. Respectfully,
Emory S. Holloway, Major U.S.A.F. - Auxiliary

Weve Had Enough!!

Act for America
Since the unjustified assaults on the U.S. embassies and consulates in Egypt, Libya, and over 23 countries, many in the Obama administration, the Congress, the media, and academia, have apologized, blamed or insinuated that a satirical film about Mohammed was the catalyst for all the violence. We, the undersigned, know betterand weve had enough. Weve had enough of the Obama administrations efforts to placate Islamist mobs motivated by ideology, or hatred of America, or just plain thuggery, with its repeated references to this obscure film that prior to September 11, 2012, no one had ever heard of. Weve had enough of the Obama administration and some Members of Congress insinuating or even implying that the violence against our embassies would not have occurred had it not been for this offense against Islam. Weve had enough of those who say a single blog post about an obscure film satirizing Islam is somehow responsible for the violence and anger raging throughout the Muslim world. Weve had enough of political leaders who cower in the face of the intimidation and bullying tactics of radical Muslims around the world who can never be appeased enough or accommodated enough. Weve had enough of the establishment medias double standard, who defend satirical films and art that offend Christians and Jews as free speech, but condemn satire that offends Muslims as hate speech. Weve had enough of American politicians who fail to see or refuse to see the clear and present threat the Muslim Brotherhood poses to the United States. Weve had enough of the message of weakness coming out of Washington when what is required now is a defense of America, a defense of our values, strength, courage and resolve. We are the silent majority in America. We dont riot when offended. We dont storm embassies, kill ambassadors, or torch government buildings. And we know that weve been here once before. In 1979, we said enough to an economy in shambles, skyrocketing gas prices, and a president whose weakness emboldened Iranian radicals to hold Americans hostage for 444 days. On November 6th, we will again say enough, just as patriotic and responsible Americans have said enough in the past. We will VOTE.

JUST SAYIN
I love reading the US Constitution, and have for over 20 years. So I was wondering: where is that part that grants the federal government the power to tell local school systems what food they can feed their children? ~ ROB WATERSON

Fear born of Leftist rants

Thank you MARTY SMITH - very well said: It seems to me (Marty) that two great fears are greatly damaging the United States at this time, and that these fears have sadly been accepted as fact by far too many US citizens. These fears are: Fear #1 - Without the entitlement programs now called the "social safety net", life would be nearly unbearable, and far too harsh. Fear #2 - If conservative Bible-believers controlled government, and had their way, the culture would
~6~

disintegrate into a cold, repressive near-theocracy. An honest examination of US history should dispel both of these fears: Confront Fear # 1 - Social Security and Unemployment benefits were put into place around 1935 under FDR. Medicare and Medicaid were put into place around 1965 under LBJ. Medicare Part D (Prescription Drugs) was legislated in the G.W. Bush administration, and Affordable Health Care ("ObamaCare") was "legislated" during the last three years. How did the US ever survive without all of these programs from 1776 to 1934? You may think that people were starving in the streets during that people. No doubt a few did then, and still do so today - the poor will always be with us. But in fact, the nation did quite well with people caring for each other voluntarily or out of a sense of family duty. I will even argue that they did so more efficiently and compassionately. Confront Fear #2 - From 1776 to 1960, the US was overwhelmingly Christian - including most elected officials. (Prayer was held in public schools until 1962.) The Bill of Rights was suggested to James Madison by John Leland - a Baptist preacher! The Bible, often cited on both sides of many issues, nevertheless became a driving force in the conscience of the public to eliminate slavery and racial segregation. Dr. Martin Luther King was pastor at Dexter St. Baptist Church in Montgomery, AL. Not many people know that the early leading activists for women's voting rights were pro-life! One can walk around and read Bible excerpts engraved on the older public buildings in Washington, DC and other locations, and see that Bible-believers dominated the national, state, and local governments throughout the nineteenth century. Were the 184 years before 1960 a time of repressive theocracy, where human rights were callously disregarded in favor of priest-craft? No, rather I would argue that religion advanced the cause of reasonable civil rights within the US. These two fears are among those proclaimed and inflamed by leftists, and every US citizen should disregard them. If one considers the shining examples of socialism and humanism - such as Western European nations over the past 60 years, he will find that they have put on a good show for a little time while the US footed their defense bills, but now they are in trouble economically and demographically. The more realistic examples of socialism and humanism (entitlements and suppression of the Bible) are the USSR, Maoist China, Cuba, North Korea and Yugoslavia. And where else will one find more clear instances of harsh living and denial of human rights? We need not fear the warnings leftists so frequently assert to be true - we need to beware the fearmongers themselves. And disregard their teachings.

Society of Handouts
Submitted commentary Mom always told me not to argue with idiots. I need to listen. I deal with facts. I am not afraid to change my view if new data comes in that changes how things are. But I am over the personal attacks by some of these idiots who don't know their history and heritage from their a__holes. Pardon my language. Facts are not emotional. They do not lie. They just are.

~7~

So far all my liberal friends can do is attack me personally - they don't have data to use so they make it emotional. Age old ploy. I just hope I don't have to look at them in a few years and say I TOLD YOU SO!!! By then it might be too late for this great country. You can lead a horse to water ... but you cannot make it drink.... so goes it for the voting public. We are a society of handouts now - they aren't thinking about the national debt or how we will pay for these things. Their attitude is that someone should pay but it shouldn't be them. Tax the rich - the ones who are industrial and get off their arses and make something of

themselves. Wonder how the leftist rich will like having all their $$ taken away. I don't wish to live in a socialist
country. I don't.

Why do the liberals attack conservatives for calling Obama a socialist? The American socialist party endorsed Obama. This is not rocket-science.....

US President Declares Loyalty to Islam

Libya attack: GOP goes after the White House, especially Susan Rice
Christian Science Monitor - HTTP://NEWS.YAHOO.COM/LIBYA-ATTACK-GOP-GOES-WHITE-HOUSEESPECIALLY-SUSAN-203641954.HTML As the presidential debates and the election approach, questions about how the Obama administration has handled the attack in Libya that killed the US ambassador on Sept. 11 have taken a harder political edge. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee says its a scandal worse than Watergate that the American people have flat-out been lied too, as he put it on Fox News Friday. Eric Fehrenstrom, a senior adviser to Mitt Romneys campaign (also speaking on Fox News), says, President Obama needs to be held accountable for his administration's attempts to mislead the American people about what happened in Benghazi. Rep. Peter King, chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, has called for the resignation of United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice. The broader theme here (and in many other partisan and conservative blog comments) is that President Obama wasnt just unaware of the threat in Libya and its violent outcome, but that he and his administration were purposely untruthful about what happened. The headline on Karl Roves column in the Wall Street Journal this week was Obama's Biggest Opponent Is the Truth. Every day, it seems, he attempts to disqualify his opponent through deliberate and undeniable falsehoods, Mr. Rove wrote. This is only one side of a two-sided coin. The president can't tell the truth about his own record either.
