Adult Faith Formation: The final session of Walking Toward Eternity will be on Thursday evening at 6:30. Youth Ministry: Our next youth meeting is this Sunday, September 30th, after Mass, until 1:30pm. Come for socializing and to plan our "Jammin' in Jamaica" event! Pizza will be served for lunch! Contact Laura Zoeller if you have questions. Please keep in prayer the Youth Ministers of the Archdiocese, who will be meeting here at All Saints on Thursday, October 4th for prayer and planning. Thank you! The Catholic Service Appeal is the annual invitation to the people of the Archdiocese to partner in the work of the local Church outside of their parish. As one of the three primary sources of funding for the work of the Archdiocese, Catholic Services Appeal gifts play a vital role in helping to fund more than 100 ministries, services and programs. This is work that brings Christ to others by providing for the spiritual and temporal needs of thousands of individuals and families as well as the parishes and schools within the Archdiocese. Religious Education for Children/Youth begins each Sunday in the Parish Hall at 9:45am. Diane Black, 477-6676. RCIA: Contact Marilena Wertz at 477-8534 (mlwertz@wertz.us) if you are interested in joining the Catholic Church. The Annual Chili Supper and Game Night for adults only will be held Saturday October 27th in the Parish Hall, starting at 6pm. Tickets are $10.00 each and provides the food and drinks. Any money left over will be donated to the Church "Poor Box." Bring your favorite games and join us for a night of fellowship, food, and fun! The Community Baby Shower sponsored by Family Resource Ctr., is scheduled for October 5th and All Saints has volunteered to provide disposable diapers. Your donation of diapers may be left in the boxes outside the parish offices. Food Pantry: The Multi-Purpose Community Action Agency thanks us for the non-perishable food donated last week. You may continue to drop off donations in the baskets outside the Parish Offices & help feed the hungry in our county. Stewards of Appalachia: Boxes in the back of church will be available for your donations for the people of Eastern Kentucky. Needed are soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, dishwashing liquid, bleach, household cleaners of any kind, window cleaner, paper towels, toilet paper, baby food, diapers, bottled water, any non perishable food items, especially tuna, canned chicken, peanut butter. Blessing of the Animals: To celebrate the October 4th feast of St. Francis of Assisi, Deacon Carl Fahringer will lead the traditional blessing of pets on Sunday, October 7th, at 2:00 PM, in the parish Prayer Garden area, the grassy spot to the left of the church. All are welcome, but your pets should be on a leash or in a pet carrier for safety reasons. Tentative New Years Eve Dance: The Parish will host an adults only event on New Years Eve if there is enough interest please sign the sheet in the back of church by Thursday, November 1st. Eternal Rest: Please remember in your prayers the families of James Donald Hinton and Lorena Sissy Moran. Donnie Hinton, the brother of parishioner Gerard Hinton, passed away September 21st and was buried from Holy Family Catholic Church in Brentwood, TN. Mrs. Moran passed away on September 22nd and was buried from Taylorsvilles Second Baptist Church. She is the aunt of parishioner Wesley Lewis, and was a faithful patron of our parish Fish Fries.
