Republic Act No. 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act, which among other things provides for blocking certain computer data and for longer prison terms for those found to have committed libel, is now in effect. The cybercrime law becomes effective starting Wednesday because the Supreme Court has not issued a temporary restraining order sought by various individuals and groups opposed to the new law.

COREIA DO SUL-INDONSIA
South Korea is aiming for greater achievement in its bilateral ties with Indonesia, strengthening the already remarkably good relations. Ambassador Kim Young-sun said on Tuesday that he was content with the cooperation already enjoyed between the two countries and aimed to bring the ties closer still, considering the potential, zeal and passion among both Indonesians and South Koreans.
