Scope

Scope of thesis highlights the areas covered in the thesis like what is the management problem? Why the specific topic is selected? What areas would be covered in the thesis? On the other hand, limitations are always there in a thesis. Limitations are the circumstances which are not considered in the thesis because of some reasons like if a student interprets the relation between inflation and interest rates then the limitation can be the 100% accuracy of data. Moreover, all the situations which can limit the interpretation of data are considered the limitations. It is very important to describe the limitations in thesis, so that the reader may know about the circumstances in which the researcher has conducted the thesis.

Scope and Delimitation Indicate the principal variables, locale, timeframe, and justification. scope n. 1. The range of one's perceptions, thoughts, or actions. 2. Breadth or opportunity to function. See Synonyms at room. 3. The area covered by a given activity or subject. See Synonyms at range.

Statement of the Problem 1. The general problem must be reflective of the title. 2. It should be stated in such a way that it is not answerable by yes or no, not indicative of when and where. Rather, it should reflect between and among variables. 3. Each sub-problem should cover mutually exclusive dimensions (no overlapping). 4. The sub-problem should be arranged in logical order from actual to analytical following the flow in the research paradigm.

Statement of the problem is where you state your problem in a paragraph a sentence or somewhat a journal. This will help you understand your experiments problem or he case of your study. Statement of a problem clearly presents the nature and the scope of the problem(I just read this from a book).

The problem statement sets the frame for your thesis: what you define here as your problem to solve MUST be solved in the end (or you need a well-founded answer why it has not been). An outline of the problem definition is done (orally) together with your instructor and/or supervisor and you are likely to have prepared a summary of this in a expos when discussing with your supervisor before applying for the thesis. The problem definition part in the thesis reflects this content in a more formalized manner
