1. Street Play (Jaago Re):


Theatrical performances have been a successful method to deliver special messages to the society. Spread a word of social value through your play and give the world a new direction to distinguish the right and wrong. Themes are 1. Reality Shows 2. Corruption (Teams can choose any one theme out of these) RULES & REGULATIONS: 1. The number of participants per team is 8. 2. Time allotted to each team is 10-15 minutes. 3. Language should be Punjabi/Hindi/English. 4. Negative marks would be awarded for exceeding the time limit. The teams that exceed the time limit by 5 minutes would be disqualified 5. Music instruments can be used either onstage or backstage 6. No vulgar/offensive/questionable remarks or comments would be allowed on stage. 7. The participants must not drop their props in the participating arena. 8. Decision of the panel of Judges will be final and binding. 2. TRACK CHOREOGRAPHY:
If imagination and creativity is exactly the corner where you outshine, then TRACK CHOREOGRAPHY is certainly your cup of tea. So, the endowment is all yours and the platform is ours viz. TRACK CHOREOGRAPHY. Theme of the choreography: Salaam -e-Bollywood (Retro and latest Bollywood dance style)

RULES & REGULATIONS: 1. The number of participants can be 6-8. 2. The time limit is 6-8 min. 3. Team have to choreograph a dance (songs can be mixed) which must include retro as well as latest dance style of Bollywood. 4. Teams can also add drama part related to the theme. 5. If the song is in a language other than English, Punjabi or Hindi then 3 copies of lyrics of the song and the theme, must be submitted to the organizing team 1 hour prior to the event. The submitted lyrics should be in Hindi or English.

3.LIMERICK (POEM PAINTING):


If you have a knack in poetry and you have written many original poems, then how about challenging yourself by artistically depicting a poem which is not self-created. LIMERICK is a unique contest to trace the exceptional skills in intellect and the poet in you. RULES for LIMERICK (poem painting) Rule 1: A team should comprise of 2 members. Rule 2: Time allotted for the event will be 1 hour. Rule 3: Each team will be given a poem and the participants have to show the imagination of a poet through their paintings.

4. Tri Colour Cartooning


Rules for Tri Colour Cartooning: THEME FOR CARTOONING WILL BE PROVIDED ON THE SPOT

Rule 1: Solo participation. Rule 2: Time allotted for the event will be 40 mins. Rule 3: Any 3 colours can be used for cartooning. Rule 4: Simplicity & clarity of expression should be the defining feature of cartoons. Rule 5: Communicate the most expressive content using the fewest strokes of brush or colours. Participants can also use tag lines.

Rule 6: Only chart papers will be provided to the participants. They must bring their own colors (Crayons, Sketches, Pencil colors etc. )

5.SCIENTIFIC RANGOLI

Sprinkle the earth with color and make it come alive! Rules for the competition are as under:

A team of 2 members. All participants should bring along their registration slips to participate. Participants should get their material. No material would be provided by the organizers. Rangoli designs made by the teams should depict the theme SAVE EARTH in one form or the other. Rangoli could be to the max of 1*1 m in dimension. Participants can use any material for making design. Time limit given to the participants will be 1 hr 30 min. Judging would be done on the basis of colour combination & designing theme presentation. The decision of judges will be final and binding on all contestants. .

6.FLOWER ARRANGEMENT
RULES:

All participants should bring along their registration slips to participate. All participants must report at the venue at least half an hour prior to the commencement of the event. Participants should bring their own material. Decorative materials, props, equipment and flowers should be brought by the contestant They have to display a flower arrangement with theme.

Time limit given to the participants will be 1 hour. No artificial/silk flowers are allowed. They will be judged on the basis of Balance, style & appearance.

7.Ages OF EMPIRE:

This event focuses on multitasking that will test your skills in various ways and will fetch an enriching experience of joy. All it takes is your wit, your strengths and your enthusiasm. The AGES OF EMPIRE would be conducted in stages through rounds of competitions. A team consists of 5 members. ROUND 1: TREASURE HUNT: It is a game in which the players will have to find hidden articles and locations by following a series of clues. The players will have to be energetic and vigilant. To cross this level of Ages of Empire, the players have to climb up the ladder of clues to reach the destination and then move on to the next round of Ages of Empire ROUND 2: TUG OF WAR: Tug of war, also known as rope war, is a sport that directly pits two teams against each other in a test of strength. It is demonstration of brute strength by two opposing groups. In this game, on a command from the judge everyone picks up the rope and takes up the slack between the two teams. The judge makes sure that the center of the rope is lined up with the mark on the ground. When the judge is satisfied that everything is lined up and the teams are ready he yells "pull" and the opposing teams test their strengths against each other. The winners will qualify for the final round of the AGES OF EMPIRE. ROUND 3 KHO KHO: Kho Kho is an Indian game played by players of one team who try to avoid being touched by members of the opposing team. Rules of Kho-Kho Each team consists of 5 members. All of them will take the field for a contest. A match consists of two innings. An innings consists of chasing and running turns of 9 minutes each. Then, 1 team sits/kneels in the middle of the court, in a row, with adjacent members facing opposite directions. The chasers can only run in one direction and cannot cut across the sitters unlike the dodgers who can run randomly and in between the sitters. They have to run round the entire row to reach the other side. The other option is to pass the chasing job to another sitter whose back is facing the chaser as the chaser is running. In this option, the chaser touches the sitter he wants, usually nearest to the target and shouts "kho" to signify the change of guard.

8.ROADIES
Roadies is a thrilling event that will challenge you at various levels and put to test your capabilities and skills. The event aids you in uncovering your hidden personality and confidence by taking you to a complete new world full of challenges, hurdles and obstacles. It promises to deliver you a journey of fun, exhilaration and adventure. Join in and be a part of this race to achieve the winning place in the battle of the youth. The event will be conducted in various rounds which will be disclosed at the venue itself.

9.Mind On Fire:Round 1 - WORD CHAIN: Participants have to form a new word with the last letter of the previous word and so on continue to form a chain of words.
Repeating of words is not allowed.

Each team will have a minute in which they have to elongate the chain.

Points will be awarded according to the words formed. o 3 letter word- 1 pt. o 4 letter word- 2 pts. o 5 letter word- 3pts. o 6 letter word- 4pts. o 7 letter word and above 5pts. Team with maximum points will proceed to the second round. In case of a tie the team with maximum 7 letter and above will proceed to the next round. No negative marking will be there for the wrong word. Round 2 TONGUE TWISTERS: 1 Representative from each team will come forward and speak.

Every team will get 1 chance extra if they get it wrong. Maximum time of 30sec will be given to each contestant. The team which gets maximum no. of correct twisters will proceed to the final round. Round 3- OPEN DISCUSSION: The final teams will contest against each other directly in an Open Discussion. A random topic will be given and each team will get 2 mins to think about the various facets of the topic. However only a single representative from the team will speak in favor. The other member will act as the criticizer and can condemn the views of the representative from the other team while he/she is speaking but in a peaceful manner. Using of harsh/abusive words is strictly prohibited.
Each participant gets a chance to play the Devil's advocate

10.VARTALAAP:
Round 1 -Spell Bee: In this round the participant just needs to write the spellings of the word they hear from the jury. Every word will be pronounced twice. However participants can ask for the meaning of the words. No extra time will be given to anyone. Shortlisted participants will proceed to final round. The most important point of the Spell Bee is three blocks as shown below will be given to the speller and he will write in any one of them.

Block A +20 for correct answer -10 for wrong answer

Block B +10 for correct answer -5 for wrong answer

Block C +5 for correct answer 0 for wrong answer

Round 2 Flip Debate: Shortlisted participants will be given a debatable topic related to any general issues and has to speak for 3 mins. 2 minutes will be given to every student to think about the respective topic.
The twist is that student has to think both in pros and cons of the topic given.

The judge will decide whether the participant will start in favor or against it.
They can be stopped in between and asked to 'flip' or to speak about the

other side of topic as well. Judges decision will be final and binding.

11.AERORANGERS

Aero-rangers is back again, with more thrilling and exciting rounds for the participants .This is a technical cum fun event. It is the shooting mechanism in which there will be a prefixed target. This will give every participant a feel and atmosphere of live video game angry birds. Just hit the target with the projectile following some predetermined rules and regulations. You all surely will have fun and will also have the knowledge of the technical part of the set up being used for the purpose. Round 1: Team has to hit the target with the launcher being provided. The target will be the enemies of the angry birds. Shortlisted will go for second round. Round 2: The team has to show their skills of hitting the target. Shortlisted will go for third round. Round 3: Finally, the students will enter the third and final round. The students have to destroy the opponents as given.

12. SPEAK WITHOUT VOICE


Speak from your heart even if your voice shakes

If you can, here is your chance to do this SPEAK WITHOUT VOICE will be an event comprising of three rounds. These three rounds are described as below:
ROUND -I :MAGIC MATCH COMPLETION

This round will be a brain storming game judging your presence of mind and Capability to retain things.

Description A matrix of some pictures would be shown with numbered blocks where each block having a picture hidden at the back. The picture corresponding to the chosen no. by the team would be shown for a few seconds and then the next picture. If any pic is repeated, the team has to tell themselves the matching block no. where that pic was seen earlier. Judgement- The judgement would be on the basis of maximum matching.

ROUND II: HAND PAINTING

Description- The team has to Speak with hands i.e. to paint a theme (provided on the spot) with hands - No brushes will be provided. Team will b provided Water colors Chart paper

Time duration- One hour Judgment- Teams will be shortlisted on the basis of theme representation and neatness.

ROUND III:SAND PAINTING Description- This round is based on a modern art which has grabbed attention of many art lovers. Participants will have to work on the theme. Team will b provided Sand Chart paper

13.OWE TO HUMANITY
Event Rules:1. Only solo participation is allowed.

14.BEST OUT OF WASTE


Event Rules: There will be only two members in a team. There will be 2.5 hours time provided to complete your target. In this event you have to prepare theme oriented items from the provided raw

materials (such as newspapers, wooden materials, magazines, cardboards, plastic bottles, etc)
Items such as colours, glue etc. are to be brought by the participants, if

required. Winner will be selected on the basis of their creativity and design which they draw on the provided theme. Note: Dont try any unfair means during your attempt. Be in time at the venue. Late comers would not be allowed.

15.Cultural Performance (Sugandh Mitti Ki)


This is a cultural dance competition which chases the diversity of Cultures and traditions prevalent in India. Sugandh Mitti Ki is all about bringing the various folk dances like bhangra, gidha, odissi, garba etc on a common platform and is a step to strengthen the Cohesiveness that our nation shares across the boundaries of its states and territories. It is an opportunity to exhibit the talent in folk dancing and to bring the inherent elements of our respective cultures on a Forefront. There shall be two rounds: preliminary and finals that shall take place on consecutive days. Both

the days, participating teams shall be informed about the event timings and venue through sms/ call. The shortlisted teams for the finals shall be allotted a room each for their requirements. RULES & REGULATIONS: There should be minimum 8 participants in a team. The time allotted to the participants will be 7 to 12 minutes. In case time is less than 7 min the team shall be disqualified, and if it exceeds 12 minutes marks shall be deducted. The organizers should be duly informed about the use of props (if any) beforehand and props should be removed from the stage as soon as the performance ends. Pre-recorded music should be brought in CD/DVD in .cda or .MP3 format and should be submitted to the event organizers atleast 1hr before event starts. Organizers will not be responsible for any technical problem with CDs /DVDs. The teams must be present at the venue at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the event. 16.ANTAKSHARI

Get ready to show the world your stock of songs at the Antakshari, an all-time favorite. Our country has many such indigenous modes of entertainment but ANTAKSHRI is one such means of entertainment which rules the hearts of majority of Indians. Lose yourself in the enchanting rhythms and foot tapping melodies and join music lovers from all over the country at this event. The participating teams will be required to compete in a musical battle and out beat each other with at various

levels during the event. Go beyond scholastic barriers and showcase your knowledge about Bollywood at this exhilarating event and take away exclusive prizes. ROUND WISE RULES:ROUND 1: (WRITTEN PAPER) One paper will be given per team. 30 minutes for 30 questions will be given. No negative marking. One point for each correct answer.

ROUND 2A: (SLIDESHOW) Each slide will be shown for 3 seconds. You have to identify the movie from the slideshow. This is a written round. Write the answers in appropriate order. 1 point will be given for each correct answer. No negative marking.

ROUND 2B: (DUMBCHARADS) 2 minutes will be given per team. Every team will be given a movie.

One member from each team will act and other members have to identify the movie in minimum time. Total of 15 points will be awarded, 10 for correct movie guessing and 5 for singing song from that movie. No lip movement is allowed.

Teams getting highest points by the combination of the 2 rounds will go to next round. ROUND 3A: (OLD IS GOLD FAST FORWARD) A song will be played in FAST FORWARD order and you have to judge the correct song within 30 seconds.

Song will be played for 20 seconds. You have to sing at least 4 complete lines of the songs.

Its a buzzer round and team hitting the buzzer first will be given preference.

10 points will be given to the team for guessing correct song and singing it otherwise no points for that. ROUND 3B: (VID-SONG) You have to sing the song which comes just after the video played in the movie.

Video clip will be played for 20 seconds. 10 points will be given for the correct answer.

Its a buzzer round and team hitting the buzzer first will be given preference. This is a no pass round. Sing at least one complete phrase of the song.

ROUND 3C: (DIFFERENT CLIP DIFFERNET SONG) A video clip with a different song in the background will be shown and teams have to judge both the video and the song in the background.

10 points for each correct answer. This is not a pass round. Clip will be played for 20 seconds.

Its a buzzer round and team hitting the buzzer first will be given preference. In case of any discrepancy, decision of TEAM HEAD will be taken as final decision. The four teams scoring highest points will be taken to final round.

ROUND 4: (FINAL ROUND) First round is buzzer round. In this round teams will be shown a slideshow of male and female singers. Teams have to guess the singer pair and have to sing the duet song sung by that pair. One slide will be shown for 10 seconds. Teams have to sing at least one phrase of the song.

In second round every team will be given 2 minutes to sing songs. The team will be given 10 points for each song. The team singing maximum songs will be the winner of this round. Third round will be a buzzer round.

Teams will be shown a slideshow of having a picture of actor and actress. Teams have to identify the actor and actress and have to sing the song which is picturized on them. Fourth round is the final round.

In this round, every team will be given a different video clip and one question for that team will be asked from that clip. GENERAL RULES: Mobile phones are not allowed, someone found guilty will be disqualified. Discussions with other teams will lead to disqualification of respective teams.

No team will be given extra time.

Any type of misbehavior will lead to disqualification of the respective team. In case of any discrepancy, decision of the heads will be taken as final decision.

17. Script Writing:


Scripting is a type of short story in which you have to write the script on the related topics which represent some meaning. Get a chance to enhance your writing skills. The participating teams will beat each other with their talent and expressing their thoughts just writing on paper. 1. List of the names of the movies will be provided which we have to use in between the script.

2. 30 min will be provided to write the script and 5 min for presenting the script. 3. The judgment will be on the basis of innovation, dialogues, humorous and related to content. 4. 4. Every team will be given 7-10 minutes (stage-in to stage-out). There will be negative points in case a team exceeds the time limit. 5. Music is to be submitted in CD in a format compatible with Windows media player (preferably in mp3 format), which must contain all the music with properly named files and folders.
