    Assessment of patellae tracking from extension to flexion. Note quadriceps action. Apply lateral pressure to patellar as the patient flexes the knee. Feel the superficial and posterior surface of the patella by pushing it medially. Palpate for tenderness with the knee flexed to 90deg. Feel along the joint line, the ligaments and the tibial tubercle.
