No 3: 5th October 2012
Dear Parents/Carers
What a lovely time of year Autumn is; the celebration of Harvest and then the change in the landscape colours. The school thoroughly enjoyed its walk to St Matthews church and the Harvest Service led by the Reverend Wheaton. It is so apt that we heard the story of Boazs charity to Ruth reminding us of the hope that people gain from the kindness of others. We have a special Celebration Assembly this afternoon where classes are going to share how they have been exploring the meaning of Harvest and afterwards we will be delivering your kind donations to The Besom in Witney.

CHRISTMAS CARDS
The children have been busy designing Christmas cards which you can now log on to view and order at the website www.mychildsart.co.uk if you wish. Please see your childs book bag for log in details. There is a wonderful range of products to buy, including cards, wrapping paper and mugs. Every effort has been made to correctly read and type the childrens name but inevitably there will be one or two that require amendment. You are able to amend childrens names at the point of order. Orders are made via the internet. If you do not have access to the internet, laptops will be available in the School Hall on Friday 12th October 2012 from 2pm 2.30pm where you can view your childs design and place orders directly. Orders must be made by the 27th October 2012 to allow for printing and postage in time for Christmas. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
As you may already be aware, St Christophers is registered for Box Tops for Books scheme. This is an initiative from Nestle offering a wide range of new books from the leading childrens publisher Dorling Kindersley in exchange for tokens from the top of Nestle cereal boxes. It takes as little as 10 tokens to get one book so the more tokens we collect the more books we can receive for school. If your family eats Nestle cereals, please remember to tear off the token on the top of the box and bring it in to school. Thanks you for your support
