Abortion prohibited in the Quran Compiled by Md.

Naim Khan President, Islamic Research Center Sweden (IRC) Email: info@ircs.se Mobile: 0046(0)704358955 Ref. Nr.: 2010/08/10-A-006 Abortion prohibited in the Quran Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 140: Most surely they became losers, who, in their folly and ignorance killed their own children; and made unlawful what Allah had provided them as sustenance, falsely ascribing prohibitions to Allah. Surely, they went astray and were not at all rightly guided. Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 151 (part): You should not kill your children for fear of poverty; for We provide sustenance for you and will provide sustenance for them also. Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 17 Surah Israa verse 31: Do not kill your children for fear of want; for it is We Who provide for them, and for you as well. Indeed, their killing is a heinous crime!

Female infanticide is prohibited in the Quran Compiled by Md. Naim Khan President, Islamic Research Center Sweden (IRC) Email: info@ircs.se Mobile: 0046(0)704358955 Ref. Nr.: 2010/08/10-A-007 Killing of female child is prohibited in the Quran Surah Nahl 16:58: When news is brought to one of them, of (the birth of) a female (child), His face darkens, and He is filled with inward grief!59. with Shame does He
hide Himself from His people, because of the bad news He has had! shall He retain it on (sufferance and) contempt, or bury it In the dust? Ah! what an evil (choice) They decide on?

Surah Ash-Shura (Council, Consultation)42:49-50: To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. what He wills (and plans). He bestows (children) male according to His will (and Plan), 42:50 Or He bestows both females, and He leaves barren whom He will: for He is full of and power.

He creates or female males and knowledge

Surah Taqwiir 81:8-9: When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - For what crime she was killed;

WHAT ARE THE ISLAMIC RULES ON ABORTION? Answer: In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers. The issues regarding abortion matters are prescribed according to Quran and authentic Hadiths in addition to the Fatwaa made by the distinguished scholars of Islam based on present context and may required further consultation based on the conditions applied, the fatwa varied from time to time and place to place and it is based on the condition that applies to understand the general rule of Islam, I tried to present the views of abortion in Islam based on the general application and not particular; What is abortion: Abortion is a medical process of killing an infant before its birth most knowingly inside the womb of the mother, or by removing the fetus by surgical operation and kill the infant. Why is it necessary: Islam allows abortion for possible following reasons as prescribed by the scholars: Speaking today Scientifically the doctors who want to abort, etc.why does Quran not give permission to abort, if it is danger to the life of the mother?. Quran speaks about abortion in Surah Anam, Ch. 6, Verse No. 151: as well as in Surah Isra, Ch. 17, Verse No. 31: , it says Kill not your children for want of sustenance, for it is Allah that will provide sustenance to you and your children, for killing of infants is a major sin. So abortion is haram under normal circumstances - Example, pork is haram, alcohol is haram, having dead meat is haram. But same time the Quran says in four different places, in Surah Baqarah, Ch. 2, Verse No.

173, in Surah Maidah, Ch. 5, Verse No. 3, in Surah Anam, Ch. 6, Verse No. 145, and Surah Nahl, Ch. 16, verse No. 115: , it says that if unwillingly if you disobey Allah (SWT) Allah is Rehman O Rahim. If under compulsion, if you disobey Allah (SWT) Allah is Rehman O Rahim. Logical reasons: If you are dying of hunger pork is the only dish that you can have, pork becomes halal for you - It is perfectly allowed - but do not have so much, and keep on having after you do not require it. If you are in a jungle if pork is the only thing that you can find to eat or in a desertpork becomes allowed for you only for that time. When you come back to the city it becomes haram - So same way abortion. Just because you do not want a child is haram - In Islam it is a major sin. But if it is a danger to the life of the mother, it is totally allowed - because in Islam the life of the mother is more precious than the life of the child which has not come in being on its own. I do know there are certain people, who say after 40 days its not allowed - before 40 it is allowed.

Quran is very clear cut on that If it is a danger to your life unwillingly if you disobey Allah (SWT), it is totally allowed. So if the doctor says that if you have certain heart problems, and the labour pain will cause a strain on your heart the mother will die - You have to abort. You have to go ahead with it, became in Islam you cannot sacrifice a greater loss, to save a small loss. The life of the mother who adult is more important than the child who cannot live on its own. In these cases if it is danger to the life of the mother, it is totally allowed in Islam - if it is not a danger, it is haram. Hope that answer to the question. What can be the possible alternatives to save a life: Islam emphasize on saving life and not killing1

Abortion Statistics

: Maternal mortality in Bangladesh is 3.9/1000 live birth .One fourth of these deaths are due to complication of induced abortion. It has been estimated that every year 8, 00,000 abortions are being performed in the country and at least 8000 women are dieing from abortion related complications each year. A survey of pregnancy-related deaths in 1978 estimated that 7,800 women died of complications of induced abortion, which accounted for about a quarter of all maternal deaths. A more recent study of maternal mortality in a rural area found an abortion ratio of 44,2 induced abortions per 1000 live births and a death to case rate of 2.4 % by applying this finding to the whole country, it was estimated that

About 3.9 million pregnancies occur in Bangladesh annually out of which 1.3 million is unwanted. Due to this high-unwanted pregnancy rate 0.8 million women terminate their pregnancy either by MR or abortion. High rate unsafe abortion Unsafe abortion- female foeticide-gender discrimination may rise as a problem in Bangladesh in near future[6] choosing to eliminate unwanted daughter [7] [8]

RFSU has partnerships with six organisations in Bangladesh: The Family Planning Association of Bangladesh (FPAB) which works with issues such as family planning, youth friendly clinics, and sexuality education; The Population Services and Training Center (PSTC) which works to spread information concerning sexual and reproductive health for young women in the textile industry and for young women in rural areas; and Steps Towards Development (Steps) which works towards increased equality, and improved conditions for girls and women through the prevention and reduction of sexual and gender based violence. Also, Steps strives to raise womens participation in decision-making bodies at all levels. The Reproductive Health Services Training and Education Program (RHSTEP) and Bangladesh Association for Prevention of Septic Abortion (BAPSA) have worked together for more than twenty years with issues such as the right to safe abortion and maternal mortality. Part of their operations include providing services for women and the education of healthcare professionals with the aim of decreasing maternal mortality rates and providing safe abortions for women wishing to terminate their pregnancy. Both organisations have operations in many parts of Bangladesh and offer services to poverty-stricken persons living in areas with little access to reproductive healthcare. RFSU also works together with Bandhu (Social Welfare Society) with the program Health and Rights of LGBT-people. Bandhu is an organization that works for human rights and equal access to healthcare regardless of gender and sexual orientation. Bandhu is a national NGO in Bangladesh that was founded in 1997 and has worked with, among other issues, HIV and AIDS prevention. RFSU has, for the last couple of years, collaborated with Bandhu through the Sida backed LGBT network, Alliance in South Asia. Bandhu works to support the rights of LGBT-persons and has provided healthcare services for men who have sex with men (MSM) for many years. RFSUs collaboration with Bandhu mainly consists of strengthening and developing Bandhus capacity to identify and reach new groups in the LGBT community.

The Incidence of Abortion Worldwide

By Stanley K. Henshaw, Susheela Singh and Taylor Haas Results: Approximately 26 million legal and 20 million illegal abortions were performed worldwide in 1995, resulting in a worldwide abortion rate of 35 per 1,000 women aged 1544. Among the subregions of the world, Eastern Europe had the highest abortion rate (90 per 1,000) and Western Europe the lowest rate (11 per 1,000). Among countries where abortion is legal without restriction as to reason, the highest abortion rate, 83 per 1,000, was reported for Vietnam and the lowest, seven per 1,000, for Belgium and the Netherlands. Abortion rates are no lower overall in areas where abortion is generally restricted by law (and where many abortions are performed under unsafe conditions) than in areas where abortion is legally permitted. http://www.alanguttmacher.org/pubs/journals/25s3099.html

The Alan Guttmacher Institute (AGI) along with the World Health Organization (WHO) provides data on induced abortion worldwide. WORLDWIDE INCIDENCE AND TRENDS

The number of induced abortions declined worldwide between 1995 and

2003, from nearly 46 million to approximately 42 million. About one in five pregnancies worldwide end in abortion.

For every 1,000 women of childbearing age (1544) worldwide, 29 were

estimated to have had an induced abortion in 2003, compared with 35 in 1995.

The decline in abortion incidence was greater in developed countries,

where nearly all abortions are safe and legal (from 39 to 26 abortions per 1,000 women aged 15-44), than in developing countries, where more than half are unsafe and illegal (from 34 to 29).

Most abortions occur in developing countries35 million annually,

compared with seven million in developed countries a disparity that largely reflects the relative population distribution.

On the other hand, a womans likelihood of having an abortion is similar

whether she lives in a developed or developing region; in 2003, there were 26 abortions per 1,000 women aged 1544 in developed countries compared with 29 per 1,000 in developing countries.

More than one-third of the approximately 205 million pregnancies that

occur worldwide annually are unintended, and about 20% of all pregnancies end in induced abortion.

Of the 23 million pregnancies that occur in developed countries, more than

40% are unintended, and 28% end in induced abortion.

Of the 182 million pregnancies that occur in developing countries, more

than one-third are unintended, and 19% end in induced abortion (8% are safe procedures and 11% are unsafe).

Worldwide, medication abortion has gained broad acceptance. At least 39

countries have registered mifepristone, 35 in the last 10 years.

REGIONAL INCIDENCE AND TRENDS The most dramatic decline in abortion incidence occurred in
Eastern Europe, a region where abortion is, for the most part, legal and safe: the rate fell from 90 to 44. The decrease coincided with substantial increases in contraceptive use in the region.

Although abortion rates and ratios (the number of abortions for

every 100 births) in Eastern Europe have fallen significantly in recent years, they remain higher than in any other region. In 2003, there were more abortions than births in that region (105 abortions for every 100 births).

The estimated number of induced abortions in Africa has increased

since 1995; however, the regions abortion rate has declined because of an increase in the number of reproductive-age women.

Induced abortion rates and numbers in Asia and Latin America

show modest declines since 1995.

The lowest abortion rate in the world is in Western Europe (12 per
1,000 women aged 1544). The rate is 17 in Northern Europe and 21 in Northern America (Canada and the United States of America).

Because the worlds population is concentrated in Asia, most

abortions occur there (26 million yearly); nine million of these take place in China.

Between 1998 and 2007, the grounds on which abortion may be

legally performed were broadened in 16 countries: Benin, Bhutan, Chad, Colombia, Ethiopia, Guinea, Iran, Mali, Nepal, Niger, Portugal, Saint Lucia, Swaziland, Switzerland, Thailand and Togo. Two territories and one state in Australia and six states in Mexico also liberalized their laws. In contrast, El Salvador and Nicaragua changed their already restrictive laws to prohibit abortion entirely. The following chart is also taking from the AGI/WHO report:

CONCLUSIONS: The need and the possibilities for better future perspectives are outlined in the conclusions of The Szeged Declaration. The major problems identified were the low level or lack of training of professionals, deficiencies in the knowledge of current family planning methods among professionals, consumers, policy makers and media representatives, the lack of supplies of modern contraceptives to meet the needs of the population, the lack of sex education in schools and the high level of induced abortions. In the majority of the countries in the Eastern European region, there is a need for the establishment of a system for the delivery of high-quality family planning services. This imposes a requirement for the establishment of a system for the continuous supply of contraceptives, through national family planning programs, by governmental and/or nongovernmental organizations. To increase contraceptive use, countries in this region should consider the establishment of extensive educational programs on current family planning methods and other aspects of reproductive health for their health professionals, consumers and representatives of the media. Sex education in schools should be promoted. Governments should be encouraged to invest more in setting up and running family planning services and programs.

Statistics
[edit] Number of abortions

Percentage of abortions by gestational age in 2004. Post 1967 there was a rapid increase in the annual number of legal abortions. The rate of increase fell from the early 1970s and actually dipped from 1991-95 before rising again. The age group with the highest number of abortions per 1000 is amongst those aged 2024. 2006 statistics for England & Wales revealed that 48% of abortions occurred to women over the age of 25, 29% were aged 2024; 21% aged under 20 and 2% under 16.[11] In 2004, there were 185,415 abortions in England and Wales. 87% of abortions were performed at 12 weeks or less and 1.6% (or 2,914 abortions) occurred after 20 weeks. 82% of abortions were carried out by the National Health Service.[12] The overwhelming majority of abortions (95% in 2004 for England and Wales) were certified under the statutory ground of risk of injury to the mental or physical health of the pregnant woman.[12] Five years on to 2009, and the number of abortions has risen to 189,100. Of this number, 2,085 are as a result of doctors deciding that there is a substantial risk that if the child were born it would suffer from such physical or mental abnormalities as to be seriously handicapped. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abortion_in_the_United_Kingdom

Question No.5024)I want to know that is it Haram in Islam abortion in the 40 days of pregnancy ? Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters, As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you) One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question: Hi I want to know that is it Haram in Islam abortion in the 40 days of pregnancy ? according to Sheikh Muhammed Salih Al-Munajjid said that it is allowed to do aboration before 40 days. Please access to it http://63.175.194.25/index.php? ln=eng&ds=qa&lv=browse&QR=11195&dgn=3 however, another place says that according to Hanafi Mathhan, it is fine to do abortion during the 40 days or during the 4 month. http://www.irfi.org/articles/articles_101_150/abortion.htm could you please give me a response about this issue because I want to do abortion now and I am in the 2nd week of pregnancy. Answer: Abortion in Islam In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers. Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 140: Most surely they became losers, who, in their folly and ignorance killed their own children; and made unlawful what Allah had provided them as sustenance, falsely ascribing prohibitions to Allah. The heinous act of intentionally killing ones unborn child or abortion is akin to the crime of murder in the Sight of Allah Subhanah, and abortion is thus absolutely forbidden and impermissible in Islam. If one performs or is an accomplice in the heinous crime of abortion, they will be held severely accountable for their sin of intentional murder of an innocent soul in the Just and Supreme Court of The Majestic Lord on an Inevitable Day. Dear and beloved sister in Islam, the absolute majority of good scholars and jurists in Islam are unanimous in their opinion that the act of abortion without an absolutely genuine reason or cause (like the life of the mother would be endangered if she gives birth, etc.), is an absolutely heinous and abomination of a crime and a grave sin in the Sight of Allah Subhanah, regardless of whether one commits this ghastly murder and crime without a valid reason. But if there is a health reason, whereby the life of the woman or the baby is endangered by pregnancy, then it is allowed to practice birth control. Islam has permitted the spacing of children in a marriage. It has been reported in authentic narrations that some of the noble companions of the Messenger of Allah (saws) used to practice coitus-interruptus, whereby the male organ is removed from the female organ just before ejaculation. Most of the scholars of Islam are of the opinion, that there is no harm if one uses one of the modern forms of birth control, to space the ages of their children. But all of them are unanimous in their opinion that any form of permanent birth control is absolutely forbidden in Islam. One may use a temporary form of contraception, if his intention is to space his children. But once the child is conceived in the womb of the mother, it is absolutely forbidden in Islam to have the child aborted, and thus murder an innocent soul. For the other specific reason we can discuss inshahAllah.

Your Question: could you please give me a response about this issue because I want to do abortion now and I am in the 2nd week of pregnancy. Dear and beloved sister in Islam, as your brothers and sincere well-wishers in faith, our humble advice to you would be to fear Allah your Lord unto whom you will be gathered to give a full accounting of your deeds! Beloved sister, whatever fears you hold regarding the distress your unwanted pregnancy may bring upon you in the short and transient life of this world; we assure you with total and absolute conviction that the distress of this world would be absolutely insignificant and incomparable to the eternal and tumultuous distress that would be wrought upon the individual who commits this ghastly and heinous crime of abortion and murder in the Hereafter! May Allah Subhanah have mercy upon you and your unborn child, and give you the wisdom, courage, and steadfastness to make the decision which is acceptable and pleasing to the Lord Most High; and save you from making a decision which would weigh insurmountably heavy on your scales of deeds in the Hereafter. Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Dear Sir, Assalamalekum! Can you please guide me on the stand of Islam on the issue of birth control. Your brother-in-Islam [Topic:Prohibitions] In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers. Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 151: (O Prophet) tell them, come, I will recite what limits your Lord has set for you. (He has enjoined) that you should not set up anything as a partner with Him; and you should treat your parents kindly; and you should not kill your children for fear of poverty. For We provide sustenance for you, and will provide sustenance for them also. Thus before anyone practices birth-control, one must determine the reason why he/she wants to practice it. If the reason of birth control is that one is poor, or thinks that he/she will not be able to afford another child, or for any material reason; then, in light of the above commandment of the Quran, it is absolutely forbidden. And that is because Allah provides sustenance for us, as well as the sustenance for the coming child. But if there is a health reason, whereby the life of the woman or the baby is endangered by pregnancy, then it is allowed to practice birth control. Or if one intends to space the children for a nominal period of a couple of years, that is also allowed. Abortion is absolutely forbidden, and is deemed a heinous sin in Islam. Regarding the types of birth control, it is reported in authentic narrations that some of the companions of the Prophet (saws) practiced coitus-interruptus (whereby, the male organ is removed before ejaculation). But today, there are various forms of birth-control which may be used as long as they are not of a permanent nature. What is important is the reason and intention why one wants to practice birth-control. If the reason is poverty and fear of affording the child, or because of the sex of the child, or for any other material reason, then birth control is forbidden. Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength. Question No.1812)Whom to vote for in Sweden [Topic:Guidance] Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters, As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you) One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question: AsalamuAleykumWarahmatullah I am a muslim brother living in Sweden. There are muslim imams, here in Sweden, who are so devoted to convice us to vote to a political, democratic parties. My question is: Is it a sin to vote to a democratic party when one is a muslim who believe in Allah and would like Sharia as a law?. If I vote to one of these democratic parties, does that mean that I implicitly or explicitly accepted the democratic constitution as definit law?. Please give detailed answers to these questions because there are others who are so confused that they dont know what to do. Wabillahi Towfik /your brother (There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.) Answer: Whom to vote for in Sweden In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Q-1: Is it a sin to vote to a democratic party when one is a muslim who believe in Allah and would like Sharia as a law? If one is living in a muslim country, then as a believer, who truly fears Allah and the Last Day, he must vote and support the party whose mandate is to establish the Laws of Allah in the land. If a believer living in a muslim country votes and supports a people whose mandate is secular and against the guidance of Allah and His Messenger (saws), it would indeed be a sin. But if a believer is living in a non-muslim country like Sweden, US, England, etc., where all the candidates are non-muslims, then he may vote for the candidate whose mandate is closest to the mandate of Islam. For example, if one candidates mandate is to abolish abortion, or to reduce indecency in society, or to uplift family values, etc.; then he is more deserving of your vote than the candidate who is propagating gay marriages, or who is hostile to muslims, muslim countries, and Islam. Muslims should organize and unite in their voting, especially in non-muslim countries, so that their collective voices and numbers can be heard for the upliftment of society.

Q-2: If I vote to one of these democratic parties, does that mean that I implicitly or explicitly accepted the democratic constitution as definit law? When the muslims live as a minority in any country, it is only natural that they will live under the prevalent system of governance of the majority; but that does not mean that they will allow the Constitution of the country to supercede the Divine Laws of Allah Subhanah in their lives. The first and foremost duty of every believer, who believes in Allah and the Last Day, is to implement the Shariah upon himself and his family; and it is the collective duty of the believers to strive to establish Shariah as the law of the land. Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 66 Surah Tahreem verse 6: O you who have believed, save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel shall be men and stones; over which shall be appointed fierce and stern Angels, who never disobey Allahs Command, and they only do as they are commanded! Thus, wherever a believer lives, his first obligation as a believer is to implement the Shariah upon himself and his family. If one is living in a country, where it is forbidden by the constitution or law of the country that one cannot practice the religion of his choice, then it becomes obligatory on the believers to migrate from such a land and go to a place where he may practice Islam as his religion. If they dont, they will have a severe accounting in the Just Court of Allah Subhanah on an Inevitable Day. Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah Nisaa verses 97-100: 97 When the Angels take the souls of those who die in sin against their souls they ask: "In what (plight) were ye?" They reply: "Weak and oppressed were we in the earth." They say: "Was not the earth of Allah spacious enough for you to move yourselves away (from evil)?" Such men will find their abode in Hell what an evil refuge! 98 Except those who are (really) weak and oppressed men women and children who have no means in their power nor (a guide-post) to direct their way. 99 For these there is hope that Allah will forgive: for Allah doth blot out (sins) and forgive again and again. 100 He who forsakes his home in the cause of Allah will find in the earth many a refuge wide and spacious: should he die as a refugee from home for Allah and his Messenger, his reward becomes due and sure with Allah: and Allah is Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.) Answer: Abortion and kill Baby In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Brother, whatever your problems might be, and whatever the situation; it is absolutely prohibited in Islam to kill a soul without any right! We humbly beseech you in the name of Allah, do not kill the baby. It would indeed be a heinous sin; and whatever trials you might have to face with the family and society, we assure you from the guidance of the Quran and Sunnah, that the trial of our Lord on the Day of Judgement will be very severe! Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 140: Most surely they became losers, who, in their folly and ignorance killed their own children; and made unlawful what Allah had provided them as sustenance, falsely ascribing prohibitions to Allah.

Thus, brother, whatever your condition and state may be, and whatever trials you might have to face in the life of this world; please do not even think about killing the baby. Brother fear that Lord Who Created, and fear the Inevitable Day of Accounting, when the innocent child will be brought forth as a witness and the child will ask his/her parents for what sin was he/she put to death!!!! The trial in the Court of Allah is much more severe, and the punishment much more long-lasting and terrible, compared to the mere trials of this world. Brother, we beseech you in the name of Allah to fear Him, and not to commit the heinous sin of murder. Your Statement: a man with BIG BIG problems Brother, if you kill this innocent soul, we assure you from the guidance of the Quran and Sunnah, that the problems and accounting of the one who commits the murder of an innocent soul, will be absolutely incomparable and unbearable to whatever problems one may have to face in this world. We beg you to face any and all the trials that this world and society can lay upon you; rather than face and bear the consequences of this heinous sin in the Just Court of Allah Subhanah! We assure you that whatever trials this world lays upon you, you will be able to bear it; but, no human being has the power to bear the Wrath and Punishment of Allah Subhanah! Seek Allahs Forgiveness, and turn to your Merciful Lord in Repentance and Taubah; for Allah Subhanah is Oft-Forgiving and Very Merciful to those who beg for His Forgiveness. May Allah Subhanah make your trial easy for you, help you, and guide you to do the Right Thing. All we can say to you brother, is Fear the Wrath, Anger, Accounting, and Punishment of the Lord Who created. Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Question No.2134) Abortion. [Topic:Prohibitions] Mu'meneen Brothers and Sisters, As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you) One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question: dear Burhan. I had sent you an email a few days ago asking a question about the permisibility of abortion in Islam, but I have still not received a reply from you. I am facing a great dilema because I feel a third child so close in age to my two other children will not only lead to neglect on my part but will also be a great strain to me both mentally and physically. However I cannot go through with an abortion if it is against Islam and although most readings have said that it is not allowed there is no clear ruling on it. Would it be haram if I were to abort my pregnancy. Please reply me urgently because it is causing me great distress. Thank You (There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.) Answer: Abortion In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Your Statement: I cannot go through with an abortion if it is against Islam May Allah Subhanah reward you with the best in this world and the Hereafter for your conviction in following and obeying the Commands and Guidance of the Merciful Lord and Creator. Your this statement demonstrates that you have indeed submitted your will to the Will of your Lord. May Allah Subhanah accept and increase your submission, have mercy on you, and give you and us all the wisdom and courage to abide by His Commands until we ultimately meet with our appointment of death. Ameen. Your Question: Would it be haram if I were to abort my pregnancy. Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 140:Most surely they became losers, who, in their folly and ignorance killed their own children; and made unlawful what Allah had provided them as sustenance, falsely ascribing prohibitions to Allah. One may use a temporary form of contraception, if his intention is to space his children. But once the child is conceived in the womb of the mother, it is absolutely forbidden in Islam to have the child aborted, and thus murder an innocent soul. Your Statement: and although most readings have said that it is not allowed there is no clear ruling on it. Beloved sister in Islam, the above quoted Aayahs of the Holy Quran are absolutely crystal clear, without any ambiguity whatsoever. Abortion is absolutely forbidden by Allah Subhanah, the Lord of the Worlds. Your Statement: because I feel a third child so close in age to my two other children will not only lead to neglect on my part but will also be a great strain to me both mentally and physically. Beloved sister in Islam, we assure you that whatever trials you think you might face with the advent of your new child, and whatever strain you fear might affect you mentally and physically; it will be nothing compared to the strain and burden one who commits abortion will come under when standing in the Just and Supreme Court of Allah Subhanah on the Day of Resurrection! We, as your sincere well-wishers and brothers and sisters in the faith of Islam, plead, urge and beg you to fear the Wrath and Anger of the All-Mighty Lord and remove this thought of abortion from your mind. Allah Subhanah is the Lord and Master of the Heavens and the Earth and everything that exists in between; and if you put your trust in Him and Him Alone, He will suffice for you and provide for you from His Infinite Bounty and Mercy. Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 17 Surah Israa verse 31:Do not kill your children for fear of want; for it is We Who provide for them, and for you as well. Indeed, their killing is a heinous crime! If Allah Subhanah Wills, this child might grow up to be a righteous slave of Allah Subhanah and a pious believer, and thus be a comfort of your eyes in the life of this world, and a source and means for your entrance to Paradise. Put your full trust in Allah Subhanah and do not allow the avowed enemy of mankind, the Shaitaan, to beguile you into disobeying the Commands and Guidance of your Merciful Lord. May Allah Subhanah have Mercy on you and Guide you to make the right decision. Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Question No.2164)Abortion of handicap babies [Topic:Prohibitions] Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters, As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you) One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question: dear sir, i was looking throught the website when i came across a question posed about abortion. to my understanding, as a humble young muslim woman, abortion is indeed a sinbecause it is the murder of an innocent life. but- as the lady who posed the question stressed- she feels she is unable to to care for the child and worries about the child being more or a burden than a joy. thinking along those lines, what if a couple discovers that the child they are about to bear is handicapped, mentally or physically? there is definately no harm in bearing the child, as many couples have children who are downsyndrome or even blind and deaf, for example. but what if the couple realises that they will not be able to carry the burden of taking care of the child? what if they are not able to bear the financial or emotional burden of looking after the child? are they then supposed to give birth to the child? i can`t disagree that abortion is the best resort. but then again- islam is a religion that is extremely flexible. we have to consider each and every case as a seperate case, and not pass an instantanious judgement on it just because it `seems` haraam. I would appreciate a reply. thank you, brother burhan, for your time. (There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.) Answer: Abortion of handicap babies In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. If a couple under proper medical advice are absolutely convinced that all their future children will be born with a fatal or incurable disease (eg. Aids, handicap, etc.); there is absolutely no harm if they practice birth control. But once the baby is conceived in the womb of the mother, no matter how handicapped or retarded the doctors fear the baby would be, it would be absolutely forbidden in Islam to have an abortion! The only situation where abortion would be a legal option is when one has to chose between saving the life of the mother or the life of the un-born baby in a complication; in such cases the life of the mother will be preferred to the birth of the un-born baby. It would be considered a grave sin and crime in the sight of Allah Subhanah if one aborted a conceived baby in the womb of the mother, just because the baby was diagnosed with a handicap. To keep the situation in perspective, would it be right to kill or intentionally end the life of one who is suffering from an incurable desease like Aids, etc? Or would it be right to kill or intentionally end the life of one who is suffering from a severe handicap or is retarded? Just as the indiscriminate killing of people with Aids and severe handicap is considered a grave sin in the sight of the law in this world and in the sight of Shariah; so would the abortion of an un-born baby who has already been conceived in the womb of the mother be considered a grave sin in the sight of Shariah. Your Question: islam is a religion that is extremely flexible. we have to consider each and every case as a seperate case, and not pass an instantanious judgement on it just because it `seems` haraam. Indeed, Islam or the way of life which Allah Subhanah has approved for mankind is vast in its implications. But that does not mean that the killing of an innocent un-born soul and life would be included in the vastness and flexibility of the practice of the deen! Islam has placed great importance and decreed that its followers respect the life, the honor, and the property of other human beings. One who disrespects and disregards the life, or honor, or the property of other human beings without just Islamic cause, will be brought forth as a criminal in the Just Court of Allah Subhanah to give a full accounting of his deeds on an Inevitable Day. For a parent to abort a conceived baby, simply because one fears that he/she may not be able to bear the financial or emotional burden of the baby would not be considered Just Islamic Cause; but rather would be considered a grave sin in the sight of Allah Subhanah. Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.) Answer: Major sin and abortion In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. My beloved sister in Islam, if one is ashamed of his past deeds, and genuinely turns to his Merciful Lord and seeks sincere repentance for the deeds he did in the past, and makes a solemn covenant with his Lord that he will not commit the evil again, and believes and does righteous deeds thereafter; he will find his Lord Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful. Whatever sins you might have done in your past, even if they were millions or billions of times more than what you have mentioned in your letter. if you sincerely turn to the Merciful Lord in sincere repentance and Taubah before your appointment of death, and amend your conduct thereafter; it is expected that you will find your Lord Forgiving and Merciful. Never ever despair of Allahs Mercy; for Allah Subhanah is extremely loving and Merciful towards His believing slaves. Whatever deeds one might have done, if one turns to Allah Subhanah in sincere Taubah and seeks forgiveness, Allah Subhanah has promised in the Holy Quran that He will forgive all the sins of such a believer, even if one has committed the gravest sin of all: Shirk! Not only that, our Lord is so Merciful and Generous, that He not

only will forgive the sins of the believer, He will change his evil deeds done into good deeds! The conditions or way to seek sincere Taubah or Repentance from the Merciful Lord is: One is aware that he has sinned, and feels sorry and ashamed at his sin. Makes a solemn covenant and promise with Allah that he will not repeat his sin again. Turns to Allah and seeks forgiveness, before he has met with his appointment of death. Is a believer and does righteous good deeds thereafter. Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 39 Surah Zumur verses 53-54: (O Prophet) say: O My servants who have wronged their own souls.Do not despair of Allahs Mercy! Surely, Allah forgives all sins. He indeed is the All Forgiving, All Merciful. Return to your Lord and submit to Him before the scourge overtakes you; for then you may get no help from anywhere. Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale Imraan verse 135-136: Allah likes such good people very much, who, if ever they commit a base deed or wrong their own soul by the commission of a sin, remember Allah instantly, and ask for forgiveness from Him for their shortcomings. For who, but Allah, can forgive sins? (And Allah loves those) who do not knowingly persist in the wrongs they did. These will be rewarded with forgiveness from Allah, and with Gardens beneath which canals flow, and they will reside therein forever! How excellent is the reward of those who do good deeds! Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 25 Surah Furqaan verses 63-71: The (true) servants of the Merciful are those who walk humbly on the earth. When the ignorant people behave insolently towards them, they say, Peace to you; (And those) who pass their nights in prostrating themselves and standing before their Lord and pray, O our Lord, save us from the torment of Hell, for its torment is killing! It is an evil abode, and an evil resting place. (And those) who, when they spend are neither extravagant, nor miserly, but keep the golden mean between the two extremes. (And those) who do not invoke any god but Allah Alone, nor kill a soul unjustly, which Allah has forbidden, nor commit adultery He who does this shall be punished for his sin, and his torment shall be doubled on the Day of Resurrection, and he shall abide in a state of ignominy; EXCEPT THE ONE WHO MAY HAVE REPENTED (AFTER THOSE SINS), AND HAVE BELIEVED AND DONE RIGHTEOUS DEEDS. For then, Allah will change his evil deeds into good deeds, and He is very Forgiving and Merciful. In fact, one who repents and does righteous deeds, returns to Allah as one rightly should! Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 54: When those come to you who believe in Our Signs, say: "Peace be on you! Your Lord had inscribed for Himself (the rule of) Mercy. Verily if any of you did evil in ignorance, and thereafter repented and amended (his conduct), Lo! He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Question No.2434)Prophet in technical matters [Topic:Sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh)] Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters, As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you) One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question: ******************************************** First and foremost, we as believers, must try to understand and comprehend that Allah Subhanah did not send Prophet Mohamed (saws) to teach or guide mankind towards the sciences and technical expertise in medicine, or astronomy, or agriculture, or chemistry, or architecture, etc. These are amongst the knowledge of the physical world which man has the capability and the ability to learn from his own experiences and experiments. ******************************************* so it is upto us to decide, how to live our physical life according to knowlege we have acquired with experience of centuries, it medicine, or astronomy, or agriculture, or chemistry, or architecture, economy, and many more fields of life there are, for whom as u said "Allah Subhanah did not send Prophet Mohamed (saws) to teach or guide mankind",,,,,,,so is it only religion which is he came to teach us,,,,,,,,and what for religion is, is if for life after death, or is it for life here , is not it for life of human being, does islam has nothing to do with medicine, or astronomy, or agriculture, or chemistry, or architecture, economy, etc, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,very strange,,,,,i m really confused now,,,,,,,,,so when i am infront of Allah Subhanah, i must obey him, but when i m out side in real life , i can make my own decisions about other things of life according to my best knowlege,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, (There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.) Answer: Prophet in technical matters In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. We humbly seek your forgiveness and the forgiveness of Allah Subhanah for the shortcomings in our explanation which might have given rise to this misunderstanding. May Allah Subhanah reward you with the best for giving us the opportunity to clarify our position in light of the guidance of the Quran and Sunnah. Allah says in Chapter 2, Surah Baqarah aayat 185: Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was sent down: this Book is a Perfect Guidance for mankind and consists of clear Teachings which show the Right Way, and are a Criterion of the Truth and falsehood.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 7 Surah Aaraat verse 157: (So, now mercy has been assigned to those) who follow this Messenger (Mohamed (saws)), the Gentile Prophet, whose mention they shall find in the Torah and the Gospel with them. He enjoins them to do good and forbids them from evil; he makes pure things lawful for them and impure things unlawful; he relieves them of their burdens and frees them from the shackles (of rites and rituals) that bound them. For this reason, those alone who believe in him, support him, succour him, and follow the Light that has been sent down with him shall attain true success. Your Statement: so is it only religion which is he came to teach us,,,,,,,,and what for religion is, is if for life after death, or is it for life here , is not it for life of human being, does islam has nothing to do with medicine, or astronomy, or agriculture, or chemistry, or architecture, economy, etc, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,very strange,,,,,i m really confused now,,,,,,,,,so when i am infront of Allah Subhanah, i must obey him, but when i m out side in real life , i can make my own decisions about other things of life according to my best knowlege,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Beloved brother in Islam, Allah Subhanah revealed the Glorious Quran and sent His Last and Final Messenger (saws) as a perfect Guidance and a practical example of how to live the life of this transitory world in the manner approved by the Creator; and declare the everlasting rewards for those who do accept and submit to the Guidance, and the punishments for those who deny. In graphic terminology, Allah and His Messenger (saws) draw and make known the boundary lines of how to live ones life. Those who live within the boundaries are in submission and approval of their Lord and Creator; and those who transgress these boundaries are in disobedience and transgression. Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah Nisaa verses 13-14: 13 Those are boundary limits set by Allah: those who obey Allah and His Messenger will be admitted to Gardens with rivers flowing beneath to abide therein (for ever) and that will be the Supreme achievement. 14 But those who disobey Allah and His Messenger and transgress His limits will be admitted to a fire to abide therein: and they shall have a humiliating punishment. There are many facets or parts of a human life; character, manners, wealth, education, work, marriage, children, parents, relatives, neighbors, employees, employers, government, entertainment, rites and rituals in worship, etc. What Islam as a way of approved life provides, is the principles or the usools stating which acts and deeds would fall within the boundaries set by Allah, and which acts and deeds when done would transgress these set limits and boundaries. Thus no matter what part of ones life one lives, as a believer, he must first and foremost respect and honor the boundaries set by Allah and His Messenger (saws); and thus his whole life will be deemed an act of worship and in obedience of his Creator. Your Question: does islam has nothing to do with medicine, or astronomy, or agriculture, or chemistry, or architecture, economy, etc Islam prescribes a complete way of life approved by the Creator; thus no matter what aspect or part of the life of the believer, it will first be determined whether it is within the boundaries of Allah or not. For example: In the field of medicine Allah and His Messenger (saws) have approved the learning and applying of this and all other sciences which help humanity. Thus in its principle the education and application of the science of medicine would fall within the boundaries of Islam.

But if one uses the same science of medicine to perform abortion, or clone human beings, or change the nature of man and transform him medically in a female, etc.; these would fall outside the boundaries set by Allah and would be deemed transgression and disobedience of the principles of Islam. Another example: in the field of economy Allah and His Messenger (saws) have approved the halaal and legal ways of earning money through mutual trade, services, production, manufacturing, hard work, honesty, etc. But Allah and His Messenger (saws) have declared it haraam to deal in usury, dishonesty, or the trade or services of any haraam objects (like drugs, gambling, swine, prostitution, etc.). Thus no matter what part of life one wishes to live as a believer, he must first and foremost determine whether the act is within the boundaries set by Allah and His Messenger (saws) or not. If the act is within the boundaries, it will be absolutely halaal and legal; and if it transgresses the boundaries, it will be deemed illegal and haraam. Your Statement: so when i am infront of Allah Subhanah, i must obey him, but when i m out side in real life , i can make my own decisions about other things of life according to my best knowlege,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, The Truth of the matter is that every thing in creation is always and at all times within the grasp and knowledge of the All-Knowing, All-Powerful Lord of the Worlds! Thus no matter where one is, and no matter what one does; if he bases his decision in accordance with the Guidance of Allah and His Messenger (saws) he is guided aright. And if he bases his decision against the Guidance of Allah and His Messenger (saws) he is on a path that would lead him astray. The Messenger of Allah (saws) demonstrated the whole scenario of how to live a life in submission in Islam through this beautiful and wise analogy: Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 184 Narrated by Mu'adh ibn Jabal Allah's Messenger (saws) said: Verily Satan is the wolf (enemy) of man, just as the wolf is (the enemy) of a flock. He seizes the solitary sheep going astray from the flock, or going aside from the flock. So avoid the branching paths; it is essential for you to remain along with the community. Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 187 (part): Those are limits (set by) Allah; do not even go near them! Thus doth Allah make clear His signs to men that they may learn self-restraint. Allah guides mankind to submit to Him and live deep within the boundaries set by Him; and the avowed enemy of man, the Shaytaan, tries to seduce man to break and transgress these boundaries so that they too would become disobedient to Allah Subhanah. In the above hadith, the Messenger of Allah (saws) guides the believers to remain united in the community and Ummah of Muslims within the boundaries of Islam, and never to approach the branching parts or wander near the boundaries and set limits of Allah Subhanah, lest the Shaytaan would seduce man in crossing over the boundaries into the transgression of the limits set by Allah Subhanah. Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Question No.2504)Abortion and danger to women life [Topic:Sins] Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters, As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you) One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question: assalamualaykum. My aunt has a problem. She was told by the doctor before that giving birth to a child would be dangerous to her life. She is now pregnant. As I read in your articles you said that abortion is haram in islam. So what is she supposed to do? (There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.) Answer: Abortion and danger to women life In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. The Shariah allows that in certain circumstances, when one has absolutely no choice but to chose between saving the life of the mother or the unborn baby; the life of the one who is living will be preferred to the life of the unborn. In such a situation, there will be no sin upon the parents. In the situation you have described, it is absolutely imperative the doctor who gave the advice to abort the baby is a pious and God-fearing person; and not some governmental doctor who is more interested in controlling the population than saving the life of the unborn baby! If one is absolutely convinced that the life of the mother would be put at severe risk if she were to deliver her baby, and there is absolutely no way both the mother and the baby would survive, then there is no sin upon the parents if they choose to abort the unborn baby in such a situation. One should fear Allah Subhanah before making such a big decision, and never ever use this or any other excuse to circumvent any of the laws of Allah and His Messenger (saws); for Allah Subhanah is indeed the All-Seeing, All-Knowing, and Knows even the conditions of ones hearts and its intentions. Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Question No.3004)Nikaah [Topic:Marriage]

Marriage

and

divorce

in

pregnancy

Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters, As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you) One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question: I have a question...which somebody asked me and confused me..... The question is that: If a girl gets pregnent before marriage....can she do Nikah during her Pregnency? If yes then plz give me refrences from Hadees and if any in Quran then from there too. and if No then also tell me the reasons behind that! And can a women be divorced during pregnency? or does she have to wait until she has the baby! My personal openion to that was It is reasonable for the girl to do Nikah because Abortion is not premitted in Islam. Anyways I would like ur feed back on this matter.....plz reply to me and tell me wut u all think about this! (There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.) Answer: Nikaah Marriage and divorce in pregnancy In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers. Your Question: If a girl gets pregnent before marriage....can she do Nikah during her Pregnency? If yes then plz give me refrences from Hadees and if any in Quran then from there too. and if No then also tell me the reasons behind that! If a woman is unmarried, and becomes pregnant due to zina with a man; and during her period of pregnancy she marries the man who is the biological father of the unborn baby, the marriage will be regarded as legal in the sight of Shariah. But if the woman is unmarried, and becomes pregnant due to zina with one man; it would be a grave sin for her to marry another man in her pregnancy period who is not the biological father of the un-born baby until she has given birth to the baby. But if she does marry the other man during the pregnancy, the marriage will still be regarded as valid in the sight of Shariah; but it would indeed be a grave and heinous

sin upon her if she did not inform the man she was marrying that she was pregnant with someone elses child. In both the above cases, the nikaah will be considered valid in Shariah, but regardless of who she marries, the baby will be an illegal child. The baby will not be recognized by the name of his father, but will be called by the name of his mother. He will neither inherit from his biological father, nor will his biological father inherit from him. But if a woman was married to one man and became pregnant, and subsequently during her pregnancy her husband divorces her; it is not permissible for her in Shariah to marry someone else until after the time she has delivered the baby. Your Question: And can a women be divorced during pregnency? or does she have to wait until she has the baby! Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 228: Divorced women shall wait concerning themselves for three monthly periods, nor is it lawful for them to hide what Allah hath created in their wombs if they have faith in Allah and the Last Day. And their husbands have the better right to take them back in that period if they wish for reconciliation. Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 65 Surah Talaq verse 4: Such of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses for them the prescribed period (of divorce iddah) if ye have any doubt is three months, and for those who have no courses (it is the same): for those who carry (life within their wombs) their period is until they deliver their burdens: and for those who fear, Allah He will make their path easy. It is permissible in Shariah to divorce a woman, or for the woman to seek divorce during her period of pregnancy. If the woman is pregnant, her iddah or waiting period of the divorce (instead of the normal three menses periods) will be until the time she has delivered the baby, regardless whether the time is one day or 8 months; as soon as she delivers the baby, the iddah or waiting period will be considered served. Question No.3230)so why is it that more celebrations are made when a boy is born [Topic:Qurbani (Sacrifice)] Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters, As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you) One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question: it is said that in the quraan that the number of times women and men are mentioned is the same amount (they are both equal) so i assume that both boy and girl are equal too. so then why does it say in the muslim directory: `it is reported by abdullah bin amar bin al`-as that the prophet (saw) said,"to whomsoever a child is born and he wants to perform a sacrifice of aqeeqah on behalf of it, he should sacrifice two goats for a boy and one for a girl" so why is it that more celebrations are made when a boy is born? isn`t it a famous saying that jannat lies under your monther`s feet?..so when this newly born girl is born why is only one goat sacrificed why not two?she will grown up to be a mother and will provide jannat for her children..isn`t this a good thing..a good enough reason to sacrifice 2 goats? i find these type of saying fustrating and would like to know your opinions as soon as possible.. tahnkyou (There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.) Answer: Why two sacrifice for boy? In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Your Question: it is said that in the quraan that the number of times women and men are mentioned is the same amount (they are both equal) so i assume that both boy and girl are equal too. Dear and Beloved Sister in Islam, the number of times a term is mentioned in the Quran does not equate in any way nor is it a criteria to signify its importance in the deen. Examples: Prophet Moses (a.s.) is mentioned at least 80 times in the Quran by name, whereas the Last and Final Messenger and the Leader of all the Prophets, Mohamed ar-Rasool Allah (saws) is mentioned only five times by name in the Glorious Quran! The term Shaytaan is mentioned by name at least ten times more than the Angels!

There are numerous other examples of where one term is mentioned several times more in the Glorious Quran than another term; but that repetition of a term in no way signifies its importance over another term simply by the number of times it is mentioned in the Quran! Although due to our lack of knowledge, we cannot confirm nor deny with certainty that the term for men and women is mentioned equal times in the Quran; even if for arguments sake we accept your statement, it does not in any way mean that men and women are considered equal in Islam. Contrary to the popular propagation of this modern-secular-educated but ignorant and un-Godly world that men and women are equal; Islam guides that men and women are not equal but rather they are balanced whereby Allah Subhanah has laid upon each their duties and responsibilities according to the distinct Nature He has bestowed upon them. Rather than make them equal and thus compete against each other, Islam guides that men and women are balanced and complement each other! Your Question: so why is it that more celebrations are made when a boy is born? Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 2829 Narrated by Umm Kurz I heard the Prophet (saws) say: Two sheep are to be sacrificed for a boy and one for a girl, but it does you no harm whether they (the sheep) are male or female. Dear and Beloved Sister in Islam, to understand the wisdom behind the hadith, one must relate to the times of ignorance before the advent of the Prophet (saws), where it was an accepted custom in the region that the Arabs would bury their new-born alive if it happened to be a girl. It is in the inherent nature of man that he is more joyous when he is given news that a son is to be born to him rather than a daughter; and that feeling is confirmed even in this day and age in nations like India and China where a large percentage of the abomination of abortions are carried out only because modern technology has allowed man to determine whether the child to be born would be a male or a female. Leave alone offer a sacrifice as a sign of being grateful or celebrate the birth of a female child, the ignorant and evil amongst mankind were willing to even kill or abort the infant if it happened to be a girl! With the advent of Islam, Allah and His Messenger (saws) guided the believers to be grateful for whatever the Lord Wills to provide them; and be joyous and celebrate the birth of the new-born, whether it be a girl or a boy; but because of the inherent nature of man who is happier to receive the news of a boy, Allah and His Messenger (saws) guided the believers to show their appreciation and gratefulness to the Lord by offering a double sacrifice. Your Question: so when this newly born girl is born why is only one goat sacrificed why not two? One should also understand that one sacrifice for the new-born girl and two for the new-born boy is the minimum one may offer as a sign of his being grateful to the Lord Most Gracious; but if one is so joyous at the birth of ones child, regardless of whether it is a boy or a girl, and wills to offer more than the minimum number he may offer as many sacrifices as he wishes as a sign of his being grateful to his Lord Most Gracious. If one is so happy and joyous at the birth of a baby-girl which the Lord Willed to provide them, there is absolutely no harm if one shows ones gratefulness for the Mercy and Grace of their Lord and celebrates the birth by sacrificing a hundred or a thousand camels or even more, if one so wishes!

Your Statement: i find these type of saying fustrating and would like to know your opinions as soon as possible.. Beloved sister in Islam, the deen or way of life called Al-Islam is based on the Wisdom and Knowledge of the All Knowing Lord, and every single command of the All Wise Lord is abundant in common-sense and logic. Asking any type of questions in Islam to gain more knowledge, or to confirm the Truth so that ones heart is more content, or to understand and thus follow with more conviction the dictates of the deen is not only permissible, but absolutely encouraged in Islam. It is the right of the brother or sister to ask anything they wish to clarify in the deen; and it is the responsibility and duty of the good scholars to address the question asked to the best of their knowledge and ability, and in the most polite and humble manner. What is discouraged in Islam is if one asks questions for the sake of asking, or arguing to ridicule the Truth with absolutely no intention of obeying or following when the Truth is made clear to them, etc. But if one asks questions to clarify and seek knowledge so that one may better follow the deen; such seeking of the Knowledge of Truth is absolutely encouraged in Islam Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 33 Surah Ahzaab verse 36: It does not behove a believing man and a believing woman that when Allah and His Messenger have given their decision in a matter, they should exercise an option in that matter of theirs. For whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, has indeed strayed into manifest error. Dear and Beloved Sister is Islam, when we as believers in Allah and the Last Day have made a covenant with Allah Subhanah by the declaration of the shahaadah or testimony of faith, we are bound by our covenant to submit our wills to the Will of Allah Subhanah in exchange for His Promise of the Everlasting Gardens of Paradise. Regardless of whether we like or dislike the command, regardless of whether we agree or disagree with the wisdom behind the command, etc.; we are bound by our covenant to listen and obey and strive our utmost to fulfill the command of Allah and His Messenger (saws) in word and in spirit. To get frustrated with the commands and guidance of Allah and His Messenger (saws) is to imply that we are not satisfied with the guidance; and that state of mind does not behove one who has made a covenant to submit his will to the Will of His Lord and Creator in exchange for the Realms of Paradise. There is absolutely no harm if one searches for the wisdom behind the command so that one may understand it and follow it with more conviction; but under no circumstances can one who has professed belief in Allah and the Last Day, ever feel or display frustration or challenge any command of Allah and His Messenger (saws) with the intention to disobey or deny it. May Allah Subhanah open your and our hearts to understand the wisdom behind His Commands and His Guidance so that we may obey and follow them with more conviction, and in exchange for our submission and our obedience earn His Pleasure and His Good Will. Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Question No.3755)Is abortion wrong? How long isit before the soul is breathed into the child in the mothers womb? isit 3 months, thats what i have heard. what are the punishments for abortion if it is wrong? will Allah forgive anyone having an abortion. [Topic:Guidance] Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters, As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you) One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question: Is abortion wrong? How long isit before the soul is breathed into the child in the mothers womb? isit 3 months, thats what i have heard. what are the punishments for abortion if it is wrong? will Allah forgive anyone having an abortion. Salaam (There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.) Answer: Abortion In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 140: Most surely they became losers, who, in their folly and ignorance killed their own children; and made unlawful what Allah had provided them as sustenance, falsely ascribing prohibitions to Allah. The heinous act of intentionally killing ones unborn child is akin to the crime of murder in the Sight of Allah Subhanah, and abortion is thus absolutely forbidden and impermissible in Islam. If one performs or is an accomplice in the heinous crime of abortion, and does not sincerely repent to Allah Subhanah for their abomination, they will be held severely accountable for their sin of intentional murder of an innocent soul in the Just and Supreme Court of The Majestic Lord on an Inevitable Day. Your Question: will Allah forgive anyone having an abortion. Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 39 Surah Zumur verses 53-54:

(O Prophet) say: O My servants who have wronged their own souls.Do not despair of Allahs Mercy! He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." Regardless of whatever sins one might have done in ones past, if one turns to their Lord in sincere repentance seeking His Forgiveness before one has met with ones appointment of death, it is expected that they will find their Lord Forgiving and Merciful. Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Question No.4219): [Topic:Guidance]

abortion

is

haram.

Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters, As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you) One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question: RE: 4106: I`m pregnant. I know that abortion is haram These are comments about your answers, (not only for this situation, but always): Why dont you answer the questions, you never did answer any questions. You always go and give lectures about this and that, so and so 1400 hundred years ago did this and that. You want to give a lecture and recite the Quran and Hadeeth, it is ok, you can do that, but first answer the question. For example here, what the sister should do? 1- She should do this and that . . . . . . 2- She should do this and that after that 3- And so on . Donot confuse the people, we know that you know the Quran and Hadeeth. Thank you, Wa Salamu Alykum. (There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.) Answer: Tell people what to do In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. My dear and beloved brother in Islam, we sincerely and humbly seek your forgiveness and your understanding, and above all the forgiveness and mercy of our Lord Most High for our severe and several short-comings in the service of His Cause. Allah is our witness brother, as much as try to the best of our ability, and as much as we wish to do what is right, we know and we are the first to admit that we will always always always fall short of doing justice in the propagation of the Truth from our Lord. We beg and implore you in humility for your understanding of our humble efforts, and we sincerely

beseech our Lord Most Gracious, Most Merciful to forgive us and not take us to task for our severe and several shortcomings in the service of His Cause. Allah says in the Holy Quran: Chapter 16, Surah An-Nahl Ayat 125: Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and excellent admonition and argue with people in the best manner. Your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Way and who is Rightly guided. Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 103 Surah Al-Asr verses 1-3: 1 By (the Token of) time. 2 Verily man is in loss 3 Except such as have Faith and do righteous deeds, and (join together) in the mutual teaching of Truth, and of Patience and Constancy. Your Statements: Why dont you answer the questions, you never did answer any questions. My dear and beloved brother in Islam, our understanding is that the duty The Lord Most High has laid on His believing slaves is to clearly declare the Guidance and Message to all who are willing to listen to good caution in the best possible manner. Thus our entire effort on this humble forum is to make sure that we relate and narrate what is documented in the Glorious Quran and the authentic Sunnah of our beloved Messenger (saws) regarding the subject in question, and leave the decision on what needs to be done on the individual. Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 17 Surah Israa verses 53-54: 53 Say to My servants that they should (only) say those things that are best: for the Shaytaan does sow dissensions among them: for the Shataan is to man an avowed enemy. 54 It is your Lord that Knows you best: if He Pleases He grants you mercy or if He Please punishment! We have not sent thee to be a disposer of their affairs for them Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verses 106-107: 106 Follow what thou art taught by inspiration from thy Lord: there is no god but He: and turn aside from those who join gods with Allah. 107 If it had been Allah's Plan they would not have taken false gods: but We made thee not one to watch over their doings, nor art thou set over them to dispose of their affairs. Allah is our witness brother, neither has Allah made anyone a disposer of others affairs, nor has He commanded the believers to enforce His Will on everyone! Therefore it would not be right, nor in obedience of The Lords Commands that we withhold the right to tell someone they should do this or that, or they should do this and that after that, and so on! We are neither their guardians, nor do we

have the right to command anyone to do anything.we are no more than fearful and humble slaves of the Lord Most High, striving and trying to the best of our humble and weak ability to serve in the Cause of the Lord in the hope that our Lord will accept our humble efforts and save us from the penalty of the Hell Fire. Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Question No.4332)when someone has an abortion even though they didnt want to but the circumstance called for and they were only two months into the pregnancy, how do they seek forgiveness? [Topic:Sins] Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters, As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you) One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question: As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. My questions are when someone has an abortion even though they didnt want to but the circumstance called for and they were only two months into the pregnancy, how do they seek forgiveness? Will Allah forgive her? Is it true that it`s ok to have an abortion if the pregnancy is less than four months? Are there certain rituals one has to perform? Jazak Allah Kheir Your Sister (There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.) Answer: Abortion forgivenss In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Your Statement: Some people have told me that it's ok since i was only two months pregnant. They said that a pregnancy does not have a life until your four months. Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 140: Most surely they became losers, who, in their folly and ignorance killed their own children; and made unlawful what Allah had provided them as sustenance, falsely ascribing prohibitions to Allah. Regardless of whether it is one day into conception or months into pregnancy, the heinous act of intentionally killing ones unborn child or abortion is akin to the crime of

intentional murder in the Sight of Allah Subhanah. If in ignorance one has performed or is an accomplice to the heinous crime of abortion, and dies without seeking forgiveness from their Lord for their sin, they will be held severely accountable for their act of intentional murder of an innocent soul in the Just and Supreme Court of The Majestic Lord on an Inevitable Day. Your Question: how do they seek forgiveness? Will Allah forgive her? Whatever deeds one might have done, if one turns to Allah Subhanah in sincere Taubah and seeks forgiveness, Allah Subhanah has promised in the Holy Quran that He will forgive all the sins of such a believer, even if one has committed the gravest sin of all: Shirk! Not only that, our Lord is so Merciful and Generous, that He not only will forgive the sins of the believer, He will change his evil deeds done into good deeds! The conditions or ways to seek sincere Taubah or Repentance from the Merciful Lord are: One is aware that he has sinned, and feels sorry and ashamed at his sin. Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 54:

When those come to you who believe in Our Signs, say: "Peace be on you! Your Lord had inscribed for Himself (the rule of) Mercy. Verily if any of you did evil in ignorance, and thereafter repented and amended (his conduct), Lo! He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." Your Question: Is there anything i am suppose to do to seek forgiveness from our creator Allah? Dear and beloved sister in Islam, the condition and pain of your heart that you have portrayed in your letter is evidence enough that you have realized the enormity of the sin you have committed in the Sight of Allah and your sincere desire to turn back to your Lord and constantly seek forgiveness for your past is all you need to do; it is expected that you will find your Lord Forgiving and Merciful. Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 66 Surah Tahreem verse 8: 8 O ye who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance: in the hope that your Lord will remove from you your ills and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow the Day that Allah will not permit to be humiliated the Prophet and those who believe with him. Their Light will run forward before them and by their right hands while they say "Our Lord! perfect our Light for us and grant us Forgiveness; for Thou has power over all things." Hadith Qudsi 34 The Prophet (saws) said that Allah Subhanah, High and Exalted He is, says: O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it. Beloved Sister, as much as turning back to the Lord Creator seeking sincere repentance and Taubah is a condition of the heart, this condition in manifested in the acts and deeds one does. Thus to manifest your sincerity of your Taubah to your Lord, remain constant in seeking His Forgiveness, re-double your efforts to perfectly align yourself to the Commands of your Lord, and do as many good deeds as you possibly can for the rest of your life; it is expected that not only will your Lord Creator accept your repentance but in His Sublime Mercy and Grace will bestow upon you His Magnanimous Rewards when you ultimately meet with Him; for Allah Subhanah Alone is the Most Merciful of all those who show mercy. Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Question No.5024)I want to know that is it Haram in Islam abortion in the 40 days of pregnancy ? [Topic:Prohibitions] Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters, As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. Dear and beloved sister in Islam, the absolute majority of good scholars and jurists in Islam are unanimous in their opinion that the act of abortion without an absolutely genuine reason or cause (like the life of the mother would be endangered if she gives birth, etc.), is an absolutely heinous and abomination of a crime and a grave sin in the Sight of Allah Subhanah, regardless of whether one commits this ghastly murder and crime forty days into pregnancy or beyond. May Allah Subhanah have mercy upon you and your unborn child, and give you the wisdom, courage, and steadfastness to make the decision which is acceptable and pleasing to the Lord Most High; and save you from making a decision which would weigh insurmountably heavy on your scales of deeds in the Hereafter. will be held severely accountable for their sin of intentional murder of an innocent soul in the Just and Supreme Court of The Majestic Lord on an Inevitable Day. In light of the guidance of the Quran and the Sunnah, the intentional killing of an unborn child or abortion is absolutely and totally forbidden in Islam. The only one exception some jurists and scholars in Islam have reluctantly allowed abortion is when in extreme circumstances and situations, the medical experts come to a solemn conclusion that it would be humanly possible to save only one, either the mother or the un-born child, during a severe pregnancy complication. In such extreme cases where only one of the two, either the mother or the un-born child, can be saved, the jurists have concluded that the life of the one who is alive will take precedence over the one who is not yet born. Other than this one extreme exception, to the best of our knowledge, there is absolutely no room where abortion would be permitted in Islam. Your Question: AT WHAT PERIOD OF GESTATION DOES THE SOUL ENTERS INTO A FOETUS AS PER ISLAM. Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 23 Surah Muminoon verses 13-14: 13 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest firmly fixed; 14 Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then We made out of that lump bones; and clothed the bones with flesh; then We developed out of it another creature: so blessed be Allah the Best to Create! Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.593 Narrated by Abdullah Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "Each one of you collected in the womb of their mother for forty days, and then turns into a clot for an equal period (of forty days) and turns into a piece of flesh for a similar period (of forty days) and then Allah sends an Angel and orders him to write four things, i.e., his deeds, his provision, his age, and whether he will be of the wretched or the blessed. Then the soul is breathed into him. In light of the above guidance of the Quran and the Sunnah, the creation of each individual is bestowed with soul 120 days (four months) after gestation; and Allah Alone Knows Best. Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Question No.6569)people say the abortion is permitted if it is done within three months or before the soul is put into feutus. [Topic:Prohibitions] Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters, As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you) One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question: Asslamual;aikum My question is on abortion in Islam. It is confusing sometimes people say the abortion is permitted if it is done within three months or before the soul is put into feutus, is that correct? Please explain. Thanks and Zazakhallah. (There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.) Answer: Abortion in Islam In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. The heinous act of intentionally killing ones unborn child is akin to the crime of murder in the Sight of Allah Subhanah; abortion of an unborn child, absolutely regardless of whether one aborts a foetus which is a day old or in its ninth month of pregnancy, is absolutely forbidden, impermissible, an abomination and a grave sin in Islam. Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Question no.7387)Abortion if genetic disease. [Topic:Abortion] Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters, As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you) One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question: assalam allaiykum My first daughter (2 years old)had a genetic disorder(osteopetrosis) and she died few days back.doctors tell that there is 75% for the second baby to have the same disorder.pre natal test can deduct it.but if the disorder is deducted can abortion be done bcoz my first daughter suffered a lot in her 2 years life i dont want other baby too to suffer it.plz i need ur answer. (There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. Answer: Abortion if genetic disease In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers. Your Statement: my first daughter (2 years old)had a genetic disorder(osteopetrosis) and she died few days back Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 21 Surah Anbiyaa verse 35: 35 Every soul shall have a taste of death: and We test you by evil and by good (only) by way of trial: to Us must ye return. Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 57 Surah Hadid verses 22-23: 22 No misfortune can happen on earth or in your souls but is recorded in a Decree before We bring it into existence: that is truly easy for Allah. 23 In order that ye may not despair over matters that pass you by nor exult over favors bestowed upon you. For Allah loveth not any vainglorious boaster Allah says in the Holy Quran in Chapter 67 Surah Al Mulk verse 2: He (Allah) created death and life that He may test you, to see which of you is the best in deeds. Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verses 155-157: 155 Be sure We shall test you with something of fear, and hunger, some loss in goods, or lives, or the fruits (of your toil); but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere. 156 Who say when afflicted with calamity: "To Allah we belong and to Him is our return." 157 They are those on whom (descend) blessings from Allah and Mercy; and they are the ones that receive guidance.

Fiqh-us-Sunnah Fiqh 4.1 Abu Hurairah narrates that the Prophet (saws) said: "When Allah wants to be good to someone, He tries him with some hardship." Abu Hurairah reports that Allah's Messenger (saws) said: "For every misfortune, illness, anxiety, grief, or hurt that afflicts a Muslim -even the hurt caused by the pricking of a thorn - Allah removes some of his sins." Ibn Mas'ud said: "I visited the Messenger of Allah (saws) while he (saws) had a fever. I exclaimed: 'O Messenger of Allah (saws) ! You have a high fever!' He (saws) said: 'My fever is as much as two among you [might have].' I asked: 'Is it because you have a double reward?' He (saws) replied: 'Yes, that is right. No Muslim is afflicted with any hurt, even if it is no more than the pricking of a thorn, but Allah wipes off his sins because of it and his sins fall away from him as leaves fall from a tree'." Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 7.545 Narrated by Abu Said Al Khudri and Abu Huraira The Prophet (saws) said, "No fatigue, no disease, no sorrow, no sadness, no hurt, no distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that." The life of this short transitory world is but a test, and Allah Subhanah puts every human being through good and through evil conditions by Decree to see who amongst them are grateful for the bounties and mercies they receive from their Lord and who amongst them are ungrateful. Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (r.a.) narrates that the Prophet (saws) said: "When a child of a servant of Allah passes away, Allah asks (although He Knows absolutely everything) to the Angels: 'Did you take the soul of My servant's child?' They (the Angels) reply: 'Yes.' He, the Almighty asks: 'Did you take away the apple of my servant's eye?' They (the Angels) reply: 'Yes.' He, the Almighty asks (although He Knows): 'What did My servant say at this?' They (the Angels) reply: 'He praised You and said: "Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'a un (Verily we belong to Allah and to Him shall we return)." At this Allah, Glorious and Exalted, Declares: 'Build for My servant a mansion in Paradise and call it the House of Praise (Al-Bayt al-Hamd)'." Related by At-Tirmidhi. May Allah Subhanah bestow upon you and your family His choicest Mercies, Blessings, and Grace and grant the parents of the deceased infant patience to accept their insurmountable loss. As your humble brothers and well-wishers in this world and the Hereafter, we humbly beg, implore and beseech the Lord Most Gracious Most Merciful to make you and your husband amongst the fortunate inhabitants of the Al-Bayt alHamd in Paradise, Insha Allah. Ameen. Your Question: .but if the disorder is deducted can abortion be done Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 140: Most surely they became losers, who, in their folly and ignorance killed their own children; and made unlawful what Allah had provided them as sustenance, falsely ascribing prohibitions to Allah. Surely, they went astray and were not at all rightly guided. Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 151 (part): You should not kill your children for fear of poverty; for We provide sustenance for you and will provide sustenance for them also. Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 17 Surah Israa verse 31:

Do not kill your children for fear of want; for it is We Who provide for them, and for you as well. Indeed, their killing is a heinous crime! Respected sister in Islam, the mere fear that ones un-born child might have a genetic disease, or the mere fear that ones un-born child might have a medical disorder would not be reason enough to justify its abortion in the Sight of Shariah. If Allah forbid, one aborts an unborn child based merely on such fears, Allah is our witness sister, they will be guilty of intentional murder in the Presence of their Lord Most Majestic on that Inevitable and Tumultuous Day of Judgment. If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of never ever being misled; but if one believes, obeys and follows any other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of being led astray. Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

"Time for the community to gain broader view on abortion"

Published Today 00:50 New research: Abortion Act should be modernized and adapted to a new philosophical view of the interests of future generations. 1960 - and 70-century women's movement was wrong to drive forward an abortion law based on the idea that a woman's right to her own body almost always superior to the fetus. It is time for society to challenge this view and abortion law design. Our conclusion is that the future, potentially existing individuals assigned the weight of such climate discussions, they should also be attributed to the weight of the abortion context. We should therefore make a different balance between the interests of the woman and fetus. The law in the future must reflect all the complex problems of the abortion issue, writes the philosophers and scientists Nicolas Espinoza and Martin Peterson. Print Text Size

Abortion Act of 1975

The law passed in 1975 gives a pregnant woman the right to decide about abortion until pregnancy week 18. She need not state the reasons and can not be denied an abortion, within the statutory time limits. One effect is that more abortions are performed early in pregnancy, 93 percent of abortions are done before 12 weeks and 76 percent before week 9 (2008). In Sweden, most of the abortions of women aged 20-24 and then in the group 25-30 years. Teenage Abortions (15-19) is the third largest group. The number of legal abortions in Sweden was 37,524 years 2009th Source: National Encyclopedia Annons: In Sweden there since 1975 abortion until the 18th week of pregnancy. Thereafter, a special permit from the National Board, but must reject the application "if there is reason to assume that the fetus is viable". (SFS 1974:595) We believe that abortion law should be modernized. Just as the Catholic Church and other religious colored makers are wrong in the idea that abortion is objectionable in almost all circumstances, had 60 - and 70-century women's movement error when it ran up an

abortion laws based on the idea that a woman's right to her own body almost always superior to the fetus. Advertisement:

Our criticism of the abortion law can be summarized in two hypotheses. The first theory is that people with liberal values have reason to question the abortion law. Just because we recognize the right of women to control their own body needs it as a liberal does not consider abortion as a right superior to others. Abortion issue is a conflict between the contemporary and future interests of individuals to have their legitimate needs met. Let us illustrate this hypothesis in a comparison with the climate debate. Just as the living generations' interests are important and should be given consideration, there is broad agreement that the interests of future generations also have some weight. Just the fact that our grandchildren's children not yet born is no indication that we have the right to completely disregard their interests in climate. The current generation has the responsibility for future generations and must sometimes make sacrifices for the benefit of future individuals. It is therefore concluded that the future, potentially existing individuals assigned the moral weight of the climate discussions, they should also be attributed to the weight of the abortion debate. If we do trade-offs between present and future generations of climate's sake, we should strike a balance between the interests of the pregnant woman and fetus. The woman's interests are not always, under all circumstances, superior fetus. Our second thesis is about how society should manage the balance between the pregnant woman and fetus's interests. In a research project funded by the Research Council, we examine the idea that fundamental moral judgments about right and wrong are not always binary, contrary to what thinkers such as Kant, Mill and Rawls argued. Our hypothesis is that abortion in many cases are entitled to a certain degree while it is also wrong to some degree. It is simply naive to think that one can describe all the possible trade-offs between the woman and the fetus's interests in black and white. A reasonable moral analysis requires the use of shades of gray. In the sense that an act benefits an individual, this tends to make the document legal, and in so far as the opposite is the case, it helps to make the act wrong. Under certain circumstances, for example, if the pregnant woman is young, but

pregnancy is detected relatively late (eg week 16), can it be right to abortion from one aspect but wrong from another, but these two aspects can not be aggregated to a binary discretion. All one can say is that the act is both right and wrong, and depending on the circumstances, the degree of accuracy and inaccuracy vary. This realization, that abortion is not a binary moral terms, requires us to nuance our moral and legal standpoints. But how? A common misconception is to claim that society, for practical reasons, have put a sharp limit on when something is permitted or prohibited. Even if we accept that many cases of abortion are in a moral gray area there, according to this thinking, no way to formulate laws that reflect such moral ambiguity. But this binary view of the law are unfounded. Our proposal is that the abortion law be revised so that instead of dividing the abortions in two categories, "forbidden" and "allowed", should divide the abortions in three categories: First we have, just like today, where abortion is prohibited. It seems reasonable to insist that there should always be forbidden to have abortions, "if there is reason to assume that the fetus is viable". The second category are cases when abortion is not only permissible, but society also has an obligation to assist women wishing to terminate their pregnancy. This category includes cases in which abortion is not wrong to some degree. Apart from situations where a woman's health is at stake or the pregnancy is the result of a crime, many would probably agree that even enough early pregnancies may be terminated on the grounds that a woman's interest clearly outweighs the fetus. Finally, we have a new, third category. This corresponds to cases where there are reasonable grounds to argue that abortion is both right and wrong to some degree. In these cases, it should not be society's responsibility to actively assist women seeking an abortion, just as it should be society's responsibility to prevent their execution. We are simply suggesting that the law should be revised so that it does not rule on these cases. Instead of trying to bring a sharp distinction in cases where no such sharp distinction exists, it is better that the law refrains from dealing with these cases. In practice, our proposal that the power and responsibility is transferred from the community to the individual woman. If her situation falls under the third category, she acted, how she wants to act, without prompting healthcare or the National Board for permission, but it is not health care obligation to provide personnel and resources to end the pregnancy in these cases. If the pregnant woman is in the third category and choose to terminate her pregnancy is her own responsibility, not something that society is obliged to assist her with. In order to prevent abortions are performed illegally or become a class issue, it may be appropriate to establish special abortion clinics to ensure that abortions are performed in a medically safe manner but that charge for their services in relation to the client's ability to pay. Some women who find themselves in the third type of situation would probably perceive it as unpleasant to no longer have the full support of society and thus be able to fall back on a clear vindication of their conduct in the law. Maybe it would even feel better for a pregnant woman if the law gave a clear answer. Towards this object we that the law should be

formulated according to what feels best, but after what best reflects all the complex problems of the abortion issue. Climate change muddles Swedish abortion debate

The abortion issue, long largely dormant in the Swedish popular discourse, has reemerged as a point of contention after two researchers called for a review of legislation framed in the 1970s, The Local's Peter Vinthagen Simpson explains. READ (17 COMMENTS)

But her insistence ensured that she was ultimately given an appointment with a gynaecologist at stra hospital, almost three months after she had undergone an abortion. The new examination determined that she was still pregnant, now in the 19th week. "It came as a complete shock to me and all of my family," the woman told the newspaper.

Doctors were able to conclude that the the baby was healthy, but discovered a cyst that had gone undetected during her initial examinations. The pregnant woman has now reported the matter to the National Board of Health & Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) on the advice of the gynaecologist.
