Wind

2:164 Behold! In the creation of the heavens and the earth; In the alternation of the night and the day; In the sailing of the ships through the ocean for the profit of mankind; In the rain which Allah Sends down from the skies, and the life which He gives therewith to an earth that is dead; In the beasts of all kinds that He scatters through the earth; In the change of the winds, and the clouds which They Trail like their slaves between the sky and the earth;- (Here) indeed are Signs for a people that are wise. 2:266 Does any of you wish that He should have a Garden with datepalms and vines and streams flowing underneath, and all kinds of fruit, while He is stricken with old age, and His Children are not strong (enough to look after themselves)- that it should be caught In a whirlwind, with Fire therein, and be burnt up? Thus doth Allah make Clear to you (His) Signs; that ye may consider. 3:117 What They spend In the life of This (material) world may be likened to a wind which brings a nipping frost: it strikes and destroys the harvest of men who have wronged their own souls: it is not Allah that hath wronged them, but They wrong themselves. 7:57 It is He who sendeth the winds like heralds of glad tidings, going before His mercy: when They have carried the heavy-laden clouds, we drive them to a land that is dead, make rain to descend thereon, and produce every kind of harvest therewith: Thus shall we raise up the dead: Perchance ye may remember. 10:22 He it is who enableth you to traverse through land and sea; so that ye Even board ships;- They sail with them with a favourable wind, and They rejoice thereat; then comes a stormy wind and the waves come to them from all sides, and They think They are being overwhelmed: They cry unto Allah, sincerely offering (their) duty unto Him saying, "If Thou dost deliver us from this, we shall truly Show Our gratitude!" 14:18 The parable of those who reject their Lord is that their works are As ashes, on which the wind blows furiously on a tempestuous Day: no power have They over aught that They have earned: that is the straying far, far (from the goal). 15:22 And we send the fecundating winds, then cause the rain to

descend from the sky, therewith providing you with water (in abundance), though ye are not the guardians of its stores. 15:27 And the Jinn race, we had created before, from the Fire of a Scorching wind. 18:45 Set forth to them the similitude of the life of world: it is like the rain which we send down from the skies: the earth's absorbs it, but soon it becomes dry stubble, which the winds do it is (only) Allah who prevails over all things. 21:81 (it was Our power that made) the violent (unruly) wind flow (tamely) for Solomon, to His order, to the land which we had blessed: for we do know all things. 22:31 Being true In Faith to Allah, and never assigning partners to him: if anyone assigns partners to Allah, is As if He had fallen from heaven and been snatched up by birds, or the wind had swooped (Like a bird on its prey) and thrown Him into a far- distant place. 25:48 And He it is who Sends the winds As heralds of glad tidings, 27:63 Or, who guides you through the depths of darkness on land and sea, and who Sends the winds As heralds of glad tidings, going before His mercy? (can there be another) god besides Allah.- high is Allah above what They associate with Him! 30:46 Among His Signs is this, that He Sends the winds, As heralds of glad tidings, giving you a taste of His (Grace and) Mercy,that the ships may sail (majestically) by His command and that ye may seek of His bounty: In order that ye may be grateful. 30:48 It is Allah who Sends the winds, and They raise the clouds: then does He spread them In the sky As He wills, and break them into fragments, until Thou seest rain-drops issue from the midst thereof: then when He has made them reach such of His servants As He wills Behold, They do rejoice!30:51 And if we (but) send a wind from which They see (Their tilth) turn yellow,- Behold, They become, thereafter, ungrateful (Unbelievers)! 34:12 And to Solomon (We made) the wind (obedient): its early morning (stride) was a month's (journey), and its evening

(stride) was a month's (journey); and we made a Font of molten brass to flow for him; and there were Jinns that worked In front of him, by the leave of His Lord, and if any of them turned aside from Our command, we made Him taste of the penalty 35:9 It is Allah who Sends forth the winds, so that They raise up the clouds, and we drive them to a land that is dead, and revive the earth therewith after its death: Even so (will be) the Resurrection! 38:36 Then we subjected the wind to His power, to flow gently to His order, Whithersoever He willed,41:16 So we sent against them a furious wind through days of disaster, that we might give them a taste of a penalty of humiliation In This life; but the penalty of a Hereafter will be more humiliating still: and They will find no help. 42:33 If it be His will He can still the Wind: then would They become motionless on the back of the (ocean). Verily In This are Signs for everyone who patiently perseveres and is grateful. 45:5 And In the alternation of night and Day, and the fact that Allah Sends down sustenance from the sky, and revives therewith the earth after its death, and In the change of the winds,- are Signs for those that are wise. 46:21 Mention (Hud) one of 'Ad's (own) brethren: Behold, He warned His people about the winding Sand-tracts: but there have been Warners before Him and after him: "Worship ye none other than Allah. truly I fear for you the penalty of a mighty Day." 46:24 Then, when They saw the (Penalty In the shape of) a cloud traversing the sky, coming to meet their valleys, They said, "This cloud will give us rain!" "Nay, it is the (calamity) ye were asking to be hastened!- a wind wherein is a grievous 51:41 And In the 'Ad (people) (was another Sign): Behold, we sent against them the devastating Wind: 52:27 "But Allah has been good to us, and has delivered us from the penalty of the Scorching wind. 54:19 For we sent against them a furious wind, on a Day of violent disaster,

69:6 And the 'Ad, They were destroyed by a furious wind, exceedingly violent;
