2:145
2:145 Even if Thou Wert to bring to the people of the Book all the Signs (together), They would not follow Thy Qibla; nor art Thou going to follow their Qibla; nor indeed will They follow Each other's Qibla. if Thou after the knowledge hath reached thee, Wert to follow their (vain) desires,-then Wert Thou indeed (clearly) In the wrong. 5:48 To Thee we sent the Scripture In truth, confirming the Scripture that came before it, and guarding it In safety: so judge between them by what Allah hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging from the truth that hath come to thee. to Each among you have we prescribed a law and an open way. if Allah had so willed, He would have made you a single people, but (his plan is) to test you In what He hath given you: so strive As In a race In all virtues. the goal of you all is to Allah. it is He that will Show you the truth of the matters In which ye dispute; 5:49 And This (He commands): judge Thou between them by what Allah hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, but beware of them Lest They beguile Thee from any of that (teaching) which Allah hath sent down to thee. and if They turn away, be assured that for some of their crime it is Allah.s purpose to punish them. and truly Most men are rebellious.

5:77 Say: "O people of the Book! exceed not In your Religion the bounds (of what is proper), trespassing beyond the truth, nor follow the vain desires of people who went wrong In times gone by,- who misled many, and strayed (themselves) from the Even way. 6:150 Say: "Bring forward your witnesses to prove that Allah did forbid so and so." if They bring such witnesses, be not Thou amongst them: nor follow Thou the vain desires of such As treat Our Signs As falsehoods, and such As believe not In the

Hereafter: for They hold others As equal with their GuardianLord. 7:176 If it had been Our will, we should have elevated Him with Our Signs; but He inclined to the earth, and followed His own vain desires. His similitude is that of a dog: if you attack him, He lolls out His tongue, or if you leave Him alone, He (still) lolls out His tongue. that is the similitude of those who reject Our Signs; so relate the story; Perchance They may reflect. 13:37 Thus have we revealed it to be a Judgment of authority In Arabic. Wert Thou to follow their (vain) desires after the knowledge which hath reached thee, then wouldst Thou find neither Protector nor defender against Allah. 42:15 Now then, for that (reason), call (them to the faith), and stand steadfast As Thou art commanded, nor follow Thou their vain desires; but say: "I believe In the Book which Allah has sent down; and I am commanded to judge justly between you. Allah is Our Lord and your Lord: for us (Is the responsibility for) Our deeds, and for you for your deeds. there is no contention between us and you. Allah will bring us together, and to Him is (our) final Goal.

Compiled of Quranic texts Christian alleged that few verses were missing from the Quran based on the Hadith mentioned in Sahih Bukhari, Bukhari 4.62: Narrated Kharija bin Zaid: Zaid bin Thabit said, "When the Qur'an was compiled from various written manuscripts, one of the Verses of Surat AlAhzab was missing which I used to hear Allah's Apostle reciting. I could not find it except with Khuza`ima bin Thabjt AlAnsari, whose witness Allah's Apostle regarded as equal to the witness of two men. And the Verse was: "Among the believers are men who have been true to what they covenanted with Allah." (33.23) Answer They failed to realized that that the Sahabas found some verse were missing and they know what was the verse, because the meaning of Qara is to recite and to memorize so in the memory of the scribers the complete Quran was there and thats the reason they understood that one verse were missing and the chief of the scribe Zaid bin Thabi (ra) he found it from another sahabas and this hadiths gives the answer that during the life time of the prophet (sws) the Quran was written but it was in various manuscripts, so when we read the Hadith carefully we find the answer that during the compilation of Quran in a single Book form it was collected from the original manuscript that was authorized by the prophet (sws) himself. And there were appointed scribes by the prophet (sws) that is the reason all the sahabas get together and compile the Quran from the original one which has written during the lifetime of the prophet (sws). At the same time the Sahabas also memorize the Quran together with the prophet (sws) and the prophet (sws) was the first person to memorize the Quran, he than recite the verse or verses of the Quran to the scribes and rechecked like listening from them and then the sahabas writes it in various manuscripts like skin of camels, blades, sword, in the shell of the trees etc.
