full days of focused training covering all the specific areas you must master to optimally achieve your goals as an energy manager.
In its years of developing seminar programs, AEE has come to realize that certain disciplines require more intensive instruction than others. Based on this realization, this five-day program was designed to provide professionals with the kind of in-depth training they need to achieve the highest possible degree of success as energy managers. Now AEEs most requested program, this seminar has been completed by thousands of professionals since its inception in 1994. The program begins by examining the basic fundamentals within all key areas of energy management. From there, the instructors systematically move to a working level knowledge of the specific principles and techniques needed to really get the job done. This approach has been specially designed to fulfill the needs of professionals who seek a broader and more detailed learning experience than can be provided in AEEs shorter courses. In only five days, you can gain the knowledge and confidence it takes to effectively apply state-of-the-art principles of energy management, and to achieve control over energy costs in your organization whether youre responsible for managing a single facility or developing an energy management program for multiple corporate facilities, government buildings, etc.
BARNEY L. CAPEHART, Ph.D., C.E.M., is a professor emeritus of industrial and systems engineering at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He has broad experience in the commercial/industrial sector having served as director of the University of Florida Industrial Assessment Center from 1990 to 1999. He personally conducted over 100 audits of industrial facilities, and has helped students conduct audits of hundreds of ofce buildings, small businesses, government facilities, and other commercial facilities. He is the lead author for the Guide to Energy Management textbook, the founding editor of the Encyclopedia of Energy Engineering and Technology, and the co-author or editor of ve other energy books. Dr. Capehart is the creator of AEEs Five-day Training Program for Energy Managers, and has trained over 10,000 energy managers in that program.
ROTATING FACULTY:
If you need more than a refresher course in energy management, this is your opportunity to learn from highly qualified experts with great teaching credentials. The instructors for this program have helped thousands of people develop the skills and knowledge needed to become successful energy managers, building operators, and energy cost control consultants. These successes can be measured by the millions of dollars their companies or clients have saved on energy bills. Your instructors also bring many years of practical, hands-on experience in business, industry, and government to the classroom, enabling them to speak from real-world experience. This experience includes conducting numerous energy audits, and consulting with a broad range of manufacturing plants, utilities, state energy offices, and consulting firms. That kind of practical expertise adds immeasurably to the value of this course. As an attendee, you gain the benefit of the lessons they learned under fire what worked, what didnt, and what could work for you! IN-HOUSE SEMINARS
This seminar program may also be presented on in-house basis at your location. For additional information on AEE in-house seminars, please call the Registrar at (770) 279-4385.

Comprehensive 5-Day CEM Training Program for Energy Managers Helps Meet ANSI/MSE 2000 Management System for Energy Standard
The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has adopted the Management System for Energy (ANSI/MSE 2000) as a national standard. Developed by the Georgia Tech Enterprise Innovation Institutes Energy and Environmental Management Center, ANSI/MSE 2000 is the first nationally recognized management system that practically addresses how industries can positively impact the countrys energy resources through their energy usage. It applies to all organizations including manufacturing, commercial, government, and institutional. Companies implementing MSE 2000 must employ professionals who are knowledgeable in energy planning, monitoring, analysis, project development, and implementation. Completion of the Comprehensive 5-Day Training Program for Energy Managers meets this requirement. MSE 2000 targets cost savings, and can substantiate an organizations commitment to continuous improvement. Proactive energy management based on MSE 2000 principles will improve organizational energy efficiency, enhance sustainability, and help increase operational energy security by reducing energy resource consumption. These improvements create a positive public image for participating organizations. MSE 2000 institutes a team-based, organization-wide approach that includes participants from all areas of the organization involved with energy, from purchasing to engineering/maintenance to production. The result is a cultural change that creates a sustained commitment to energy efficiency, continual improvement, and documented energy management procedures within the organization.
Very good instructors. I learned a LOT from the prep class that I will retain after the test.
