Estimated rainfall amount is from 10 - 25 mm per hour (heavy - intense) within the 700
km diameter of the Typhoon.
Typhoon "NINA" is still far to directly affect any part of the country .
Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the Northern
and Western seaboards of Northern Luzon and the Eastern seaboard of Luzon and
Visayas due to big waves caused by Typhoon "NINA".
The public and the disaster coordinating councils concerned are advised to take
appropriate actions.
II. ACTION/S TAKEN
NDRRMC Operations Center is on RED ALERT status to continuously monitor and
disseminate Severe Weather Bulletin No. 10 on Typhoon "NINA"(PRAPIROON) to all
OCD Regional Centers through SMS and facsimile and uploaded on the NDRRMC
website for further dissemination to their respective local disaster risk reduction and
management councils (LDRRMCs) from the provincial down to the municipal levels.
Directed RDRRMCs concerned through the OCD Regional Centers to undertake
precautionary measures in their area of responsibility (AOR) and subsequently advised
local DRRMCs to initiate pre-emptive evacuation of families in low-lying and mountainous
areas if situation warrants.
