Dr. Barbara Bellar - Obamacare Summed Up in One Sentence

Dr. Barbara Bellar received a standing ovation after her speech at the Illinois Women For Romney/Ryan Victory Rally on August 21st, 2012. Dr. Bellar is a small business owner, physician, Veteran Army Major, professor, and attorney. She can make a difference and will serve with distinction and integrity. Barbara is a new voice for Illinois. She is no ones puppet, no one owns her so she can just do the right thing. You can trust her integrity and personal / professional ethics! Here is what Dr. Bellar had to say: Thank you... Thank you...Thank you so much. You humble me... Thank you. For those of you who might not guess, Im not going to read every page here, but this is the short version of Obamacare. Its like 11 hundred pages, and Ill tell you how many is the original. And you know, because of this podium, Im gonna stand on this [holding up the document]. I think it will help. [much laughter] All right... Thank you. Oh, Good evening to all the Women for Romney/Ryan Victory. Of course, you know, well be the voters to make a decided difference this November, as been said. Since 1980 the proportion of women who vote has consistently passed the proportion of men who do. Additionally, women make approximately 80% of the health care decisions made for their family. So let me get this straight... this is a long sentence.

gonna go to 78/33 speed. Anybody remember those big records? Because Im limited on time here, so Im gonna speed it up. So Im talking as a licensed Physician who has seen the slow erosion of the continuity of medical care being stolen from the citizens of the United States. We are going to be gifted with a health care plan, we are forced to purchase, and fined if we dont, which purportedly covers at least 10 million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but it provides with 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee, whos Chairman says he doesnt understand it, passed by a Congress that didnt read it, but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President who smokes [laughter again], same sentence, with funding administered by a Treasury Chief who didnt pay his taxes, for which we will be taxed for four years, for any benefits which take effect by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a Surgeon General who is obese [laughter again], and financed by a country thats broke. [much laughter again] So what the blank [laughter] could possibly go wrong? OK, My name is Dr. Barbara Bellar, and I so appreciate you being here tonight. I speak to you with three different hats on. Im speaking to you today as a licensed Physician in Illinois... Im Im also speaking to you as a licenced attorney in Illinois who know that the answer to everything in law and government is... It all depends... [laughter once more] Its true! And Im speaking to you as a previous Benedictine Nun, and always as a Christian, who sees that our religious freedom is being now disregarded and mocked. [much applause] Abraham Lincoln once said, You cant make a weak man strong, by making a strong man weak. Obamacare is an abomination... Big Zero! Its no exaggeration to call this a government takeover of our health care. Obama leaves virtually no aspect of health care beyond government control. You are giving the government authority over health care providers and consumers. This is a descent into rationing and socialism. Rationing is ugly, cold hearted, and unfair. It violates the trust between doctors and their patients. Rationing is what Obamacare is all about. Democracy is in danger, and IPAB is where the rationing will take place. Board, which are 15 members appointed by the President. This Board makes the recommendations for cuts in Medicare services, or for reductions in reimbursement, and will not be subject to any Congressional approval, but will take effect by administrative fiat, right now! By tolerating Obamacare, we are handing our moral compass to unelected bureaucrats to make decisions regarding policy for some of our most personal health care decisions. When I have anything to say about this, I will see that Obamacare is repealed, and defunded, and replaced with far superior reforms... [much applause] ...and believe me... Im a small cog in the wheel, and I have some very substantial plans and alternatives, and so Obamacare created 159 new bureaucracies, boards, ABC commissions, and programs, to govern your health care. Weve become one nation under too many laws. Obamacare refers to the patient Protective and Affordable Care Act which was signed into law on March 23, 2010. It is over promised and underfunded. It is creating the recipe for the denial of treatment. It is over 3,256 pages of debateable complex instructions. I have the short version here. It really should be called, Your End of Life Care Option. God created us. He should decide how long we live, not Obama [much cheers and applause] Thank you. Obamacare is about the coercion of the individual by the government. In 2014 everyone must purchase health insurance or fact a $695 annual fine, which is really a tax. Phantom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove that they are insured, but not everyone must prove that they are a citizen. [cheering and applause]

So and illegal immigrant actually has more freedom than an American citizen because they are not being forced to purchase health care. Something to think about. Obamacare is deeply disturbing because they chisel away at our most basis God given freedom, and that is free will, freedom of choice. We need to see this for what it really is, the annihilation of our basic human rights. This is only the tip of the iceberg. It violates our freedom of religion to practice as we believe, and not have the government say what you will and will not hold as deeply convicted principles in your life. For example, to mention some crucial issues of many in this act - Abortion. Obamacare marks a decisive proAbortion shift. One thing I know, from court decisions in many circuits, is that unless Abortion is expressly prohibited, courts will read it into laws providing for health care services. You will have no say as to whether you want your tax money spent this way, or you do not. Secondly, the Health and Human Services Contraceptive Mandate; that requires health insurance companies to include contraceptive services in their Health care Plans regardless of religious or moral obligations. This means, required coverage for sterilization as well as for all FDA approved contraceptive medicine and devices are included. Even the recent most kindly pacifying revision still forces religious organizations to compromise their moral conscience. The recent Supreme Court decision on Obamacare did not take up the Constitutional question at issue in religious liberty challenges to the Mandate. So there are currently 23 laws suits involving 56 Plaintiffs which have been filed in Federal Court against this Mandate.

To characterize this as a Catholic issue misses the point. This Mandate tramples on every ones religious freedom. [applause] Which takes me to my next point. The assault on religious freedom. If there is one thing that our Creator has given us, it is most definitely Freedom, and our free will. We are even free to accept or reject God in our lives. America has been a blessed nation because of upholding our God given freedom of speech and freedom to worship as we choose. Freedom means, you have a choice. The government takeover of our health care is just the tip of the iceberg. You will not have the choice... the freedom... and believe me folks, when we allow government bureaucratic agencies to erode the freedom of civil society, and to disregard religious liberty, there is no limit. If the government can trample on religious freedom, all freedoms are threatened. Lastly, we know that the government tries to meddle with the free market, it just ends making things worse. We need true reform. Real reform is possible once Obamacare is repealed. We cannot, we must not let Obamacare drain us of our liberty and suck the life our of us. Governor Romney delivered one of his tightest lines of his campaign when he said, What the Supreme Court did not do on its last day in session, I will do on my first day if elected President. [cheers and applause] And that is, I will act to repeal Obamacare. Benjamin Franklin once said, Energy and persistence conquers all things. Join me in being heard loud and clear.
