Mathematics A Level

Why choose this course? If you appreciate the logic and power of mathematics If you enjoy solving problems and applying knowledge What are the benefits of choosing this course? It is very highly respected by universities and employers It is a valued A or AS Level qualification and gives you access to many courses including Engineering and Accountancy. What do you need to study A Level mathematics? A good grade at GCSE, having studied at higher tier. Students will need A or A* grade at GCSE. (In exceptional circumstances we may accept a grade B). Course Content In year 12 three modules are studied: Core 1 (C1) Pure Mathematics 1 (including Algebra, Trigonometry and Geometry) Core 2 (C2) Pure Mathematics 2 Statistics 1 (S1) C1 exam is normally sat in January of year 12 with C2 and S1 following in June of year 12. In year 13 three more modules are studied: Core 3 (C3) Pure Mathematics 3 Core 4 (C4) Pure Mathematics 4 Mechanics 1 (M1) C3 exam is normally sat in January of year 12 with C4 and M1 following in June of year 13.
Biology A Level

The course is project based which means that you will have the opportunity to be involved in the rehearsal and production of whole plays, some of which will be performed to a public audience.
