Project Manager J&R Adventures

Position Summary The Project Manager at J&R Adventures, a music and entertainment marketing firm, is responsible for planning and managing technology projects. This position requires a strong technology background, excellent project management and customer care skills, and experience leading projects and cross-functional technical teams. This position reports to the General Manager. Duties and Responsibilities Work with multidisciplinary teams to plan and deliver technology projects on time and within budget. Manage multiple technical disciplines in order to produce and deliver a quality solution. Manage project and resource scheduling and oversee the communications between technical teams. Quickly understand the business issues and technical challenges of the organization and industry. Drive projects through the development life-cycle, ensuring solutions are technically sound, meet operational requirements, and are delivered on time. Develop, review and edit technical requirements, resources, specifications, schedules, documentation and recommendations related to proposed solution. Suggest alternative technical solutions to meet requirements more efficiently, and/or with greater reusability, and/or longer life. As required, manage technical project resources, including external vendors, and act as a central point for all day to day activities relating to projects Communicate and manage project risk factors and recommend actions to mitigate. Collaborate with executive management, department leads, program leadership, and project team members to ensure alignment and integration of strategies, projects, and programs for successful implementation and results. Qualifications The successful candidate will have: Experience or knowledge of technical infrastructure and/or software development methodologies. Formal project management training (Project Management Certification desired). Experience developing quality project management and operational documentation. Familiarity with and understanding of key technologies and platforms, e.g., databases, SQL Server, java and php applications, html, flash, web servers, mobile platforms, xml, rss. Experience of the IT industry, with an emphasis on direct project management (some development and/or design background preferred). Competency across a range of project management tools, decision making, and risk and opportunity analysis. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Experience in motivating people and fostering a collaborative environment. Ability to prioritize and organize projects effectively within a deadline driven and changing environment, using initiative to make decisions. Experience in managing client projects and client relationships. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a distributed, dynamic, team-oriented environment. Compensation Base: $50-$55K (with guaranteed $10K bonus after satisfactory 12 month review) About J&R Adventures J&R Adventures was founded by Blues Rock Guitarist, Joe Bonamassa and longtime manager Roy Weisman.
