HEY THERE!

Were openlectures. This is where a bunch of creative minds come together to bring you free, quality education. We hope to share with you as much of the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level Examination curriculum as we know. If we fall short, we dont mind you telling us how we can do this better. After all, learning is universal.

free adj. given or available without charge We believe that education should not be limited by wealth or the ability to afford it. It should be available to everyone who wants to learn. quality adj. having a high degree of excellence We believe that education is interactive. It should be open to challenges and constant refinement. This is the way to improve knowledge, and its transmission to everyone.

Who is openlectures?

We are your friends. Your everyday senior who has graduated and wants to improve the experience of current students. We want more resources, better resources, and easily available resources for all students. Our peer tutors are a diverse group of people. They are good at their subjects and really enthusiastic about sharing what they know.

Why openlectures?

We believe in peer teaching. We may need more than our school and tuition because sometimes our friends can are better at explaining. The internet is much more than Facebook and YouTube; it is also a great way to learn for free. We want knowledge to be a few clicks away, just like your friends tweet or Lady Gagas latest video. Our fundamental ideal is that education should be available to everyone for free. That is why our peer tutors work hard to share their knowledge.

Why use openlectures?

Our online videos cover the GCE A-level syllabus in Singapore. The content is broken down into bite-sized bits. You choose when to replay, when to pause, and how much you want to learn. As students ourselves, we understand how difficult it is to focus throughout 50-minute lectures, 5 lectures a day. Our lectures give you the steering wheel. You decide when and where to learn: on the way to school before a test, on the treadmill in the gym, over a cup of your favourite coffee. You get to catch up on what you missed when you were sick, representing your school in sports or falling asleep in lectures.
