Timing Spiritual Transformations

Bob Mulligan UAC New Orleans Track 6, Session # 9 Sunday May 27th 2012 9 AM to 10:15 AM
Here are a few important points:
1) God alone is real, and the goal of life is to unite with Him through Love Meher Baba. 2) When we look at astrology as a spiritual path, a practice, or yoga; we must take into consideration the circumstances of the planet Mercury. Mercury rules thought as well as orientation, reasoning, and discrimination. This is the path of knowledge or Gyana yoga. 3) Every planet has a myriad of meanings. The spiritual meaning of the planet is at the core: Mars = desire Saturn = Karma Jupiter = Consolidated wisdom Mercury = Awareness The Moon = The Past Venus = Love, unity, synthesis Sun = the Ego and infinite individuality Uranus = Infinite knowledge Neptune = Infinite Bliss, god of culture Pluto = Infinite Power 4) Understanding Mars and coming to terms with him in your chart is the first step in reversing the wheel of karma. 5) Concentrating on our Jupiter allows us to start associating with our positive qualities. This can help to make our progress swift. 6) Coming to terms with Saturn means being honest, humble, and overcoming fear. 7) The Moon is a help or a hindrance in spiritual development. She is critical in timing, and on building on past associations. Lunar aspects show past connections to different practices.

Different spiritual practices center around one or more of these bodies: a) Physical body = Hatha yoga, Karma yoga = Mars and Pluto b) Emotional body = Bhakti yoga, the arts = Venus and Neptune c) Mental body = Gyana yoga, meditation = Mercury, Uranus, and Saturn 6) Understand the Nodal Axis is important to understanding the path and the pitfalls. The time of day can be important for meditation and other spiritual practices. The best times are: a) Sunrise and Sunset. b) Between 4 and 5am. 7) Time of year is important. 8) The transiting aspects and mundane astrology in general are important. a) Days of Sun trine Jupiter, or Saturn, tune us into certain steps for integration. Aspects of the transiting Moon help us attune to the circumstances of the moment. b) Days that important aspect patterns become exact can be helpful for clarifying your vision. 9) New Moons, Full Moons, and eclipses are all important timing moments. a) We extend outward on New Moon and consolidate on Full Moons. b) Eclipses are high intensity energy systems used for good or ill. 10) Our personal history is shown by our Moon; we move inside of our collective history which is the outcome of first existence.
