22nd October 2012 Dear Parents/ Guardians, Re: E-Learning for Oct - Dec Holidays 2012 This letter

is to inform you that your child/ward will be required to complete his/her E-Learning Assignments as part of his/her holiday homework from the months of October to December. Your child/ward can complete his/her E-Learning via schools LMS during the following periods: Secondary 1 & 2 pupils Secondary 3 pupils from 27th October (Sat) to 31st December (Mon) from 10th November (Sat) to 31st December (Mon)

In line with our school vision to develop every pupil into A Learner and A Leader (self-directed, curious and reflective), the E-Learning is a platform to enable our pupils to develop competencies for self-directed and collaborative learning through the effective use of ICT as well as to become discerning and responsible ICT users. Through this E-Learning, we hope to give your child/ward a different learning experience. Their assignments will be graded and form 10% of the marks for their Term 1 2013 Continual Assessment (CA). Your child/ward can access the school Learning Management System (LMS) from home or other venues with internet access to go through online lessons for selected subjects. The list of subjects and number of subjects is attached overleaf. All pupils are to log in to the school LMS during the periods stipulated above to complete their ELearning. Please note that completion of E-Learning is compulsory. Students who have no computer or internet access at home can report to Computer Lab 3 to complete their E-Learning Assignments on the following days: a. 9.00 am - 12.00 noon, from 29th October (Monday) to 2nd November (Friday) b. 1.00 pm - 4.00 pm, from 12th November (Monday) to 19th November (Monday) except Public Holidays, Saturdays & Sundays We look forward to your support.
