Picanol weaving machines

Picanol offers two filling insertion systems: airjet and rapier technology. Picanol's different weaving machine types practically cover the whole spectrum of current fabrics. All Picanol machines contain advanced technology for very high fabric quality, reduced maintenance, and simple mechanical operation.

Picanol OMNIplus The OMNIplus airjet weaving machine incorporates all the strong points of the Picanol Omni airjet, some unique features of the Picanol Gamma rapier, and a whole series of new developments! The fabric to be produced and the weavers job: these were the starting points for developing the OMNI plus airjet weaving machine. On the one hand, the machine had to be able to produce high-quality fabrics in a very wide application range and at very competitive prices. On the other hand, it had to enable our customers to meet all the varying market demands in a simple, user-friendly way.

The OMNIplus weaves spun, filament and a wide range of fancy yarns such as high-twist, stretch, chenille and texturised yarns in up to 6 colours and yarn types. For the weave pattern there is a choice of positive cam, positive dobby or jacquard motion.

The OMNIplus TC is the most advanced machine currently available for weaving tire cord. Picanol OMNIplus TC The OMNIplus TC incorporates all the strong points of the Picanol OMNIplus 190 airjet weaving machine, some unique features of the Gnne 190 TC weaving machine, and a whole series of new developments. This makes it the most advanced airjet tire cord weaving machine currently available. The OMNIplus TC produces tire cord of the highest quality at working speeds of up to 800 rpm and allows a density of merely 1 insertion per 2.5 cm!

Tucking in Mechanical tucking-in devices with pneumatic clamp: better selvedges in semicircle form no additional air consumption. The position of the cutters can be adapted to obtain an adjustable long tail (min. 30 mm). Allows density of merely 1 insertion per inch.

Reed Conical reed. No reed change needed when changing the fabric width.

Warp traction and feed Two drawing-in rollers with big contact angles: easier pulling off from the creel easier handling of drawing-in and repair of warp ends.

Tabby When the required length of cord is reached, a tabby band is woven to give strength to the fabric. The tabby fabric is woven with thicker weft yarn and its density is higher. Batching motion Batching motion with automatic weight compensation: absolutely straight bale selvedges bale diameters up to 200 cm existing wooden beams with square holes can be used.

On the other hand, it had to enable our customers to meet all the varying market demands in a simple, user-friendly way.

The TERRYplus weaves spun, filament and a wide range of fancy yarns, e.g. chenille, in up to 6 colours and yarn types. For the weave pattern there is a choice of dobby or jacquard motion. The TERRYplus is available in reed widths of 190, 230, 260, 280 and 340 cm. It can produce cloth rolls of up to 600 mm, or up to 1500 mm with the Picanol Batching Motion.

The motor-driven, swinging reed pile formation of the TERRYplus offers great operational flexibility. Special fabric constructions with different pile heights are now possible.

GamMax

The GamMax surpasses all other rapier weaving machines on the market in every respect. It cuts the cost of fabric production without sacrificing versatility and flexibility.

Picanol GamMax In developing GamMax, Picanol has taken the requirements of the market as its starting point. These are: increased productivity thanks to higher machine speeds and lower downtimes, the ability to weave a wider variety of textiles, more flexibility in switching from one article to another, and lower weaving cost. All this and more has been achieved on the GamMax machine. Various technological innovations on the Gamma machine the successful predecessor of GamMax have been further refined, and new technologies and options have been added.

On top of all this, GamMax enables the weaver to benefit fully from the advantages of digitisation: most of the machine functions are digitally controlled, and the number of mechanical settings has never been fewer. In addition to a reduced changeover time, this means among other things that all machine settings can be digitally stored and transferred, and that the entire weaveroom can be controlled by a central production computer. If equipped with the interactive display, GamMax is also Internet-enabled, thus opening up a whole series of new possibilities for service, monitoring and organisation of production.
