Life of Prayer

All of the great movements of God began with prayer! It is our hope that God will birth a movement of prayer at Inuence that will ignite a great movement of God. We need a movement of God not simply a time of prayer. We need to create a spiritual furnace that will provide power for every dimension of the church.

We are living in the last days! In these last days we are told that God will pour out my Spirit upon all eshyour sons and your daughters shall prophecy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams. (Acts 2:17) We are also told, that in the last days perilous times will come (2 Timothy 3:1) When the disciples observed the life of Christ they had one request, Lord, teach us to pray (Luke 11:1). They recognized that the source of His great power was prayer.

May God give us mighty prayers prayers that will tear down strongholds prayers that will move mountains prayers that will draw people to Christ prayers that will bring freedom to the captives prayers that will change lives forever. We invite you to pray an hour or pray through the night. Either way you will be blessed.

The 12 Laws of Faith

by John Edmiston

6. The Law of Assured Conviction - the ability to see the mountain sized problem as a mere acorn in God's hand. To acknowledge that you have the answer with certainty. 7. The Law of Incomplete Knowledge - Abraham went out not knowing where he was going. 8. The Law of Reliance on Rhema - Abraham believed God's

The following 12 laws of faith can be found in Hebrews 11

1. The Law of Existence - you must believe that God is. Also that He is active with regard to you personally. 2. The Law of Just Providence - you must believe that He rewards those who diligently seek Him. 3. The Law of the Invisible - you must be prepared to believe in things beyond the experience of your senses, in things that have never happened before in your world.. 4. The Law of the Future Preparation - you must believe that God s working for you and preparing things in advance for the people He loves who trust Him. 5. The Law of Endurance - you must be prepared to wait patiently until God's time and purposes are fullled. Faith hangs in there.

personal rhema (revealed) word to him and it was counted to him as righteousness. 9. The Law of Heavenly Ambition - Faith is directed into God's purposes and to God's ends and cannot function properly if focussed on the here and now. Faith seeks the city that is to come. 10. The Law of Possibility - all things are possible with God even raising Isaac from the dead. 11. The Law of Renunciation - faith operates in renouncing all that is not-faith and grasping God's purposes ONLY. Faith is uncontaminated by the courts of Pharaoh and the ambitions of this world. 12. The Law of Conquest - external in conquering Canaan, internal in resisting persecution and testifying to God. Faith does not submit to circumstances.

How to Pray Scripture

By Phil Hotsenpiller

There are a number of ways to pray Scripture:

Open
Open your Bible and simply read the Scripture. As you read, personalize the words to apply to your situation. The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want Psalm 23 Pray something like this: Lord, you are my shepherd I have no other shepherd but you. I am content to listen to your voice.

Choose
O Lord my God, I cried out to You, and You healed me. God through my tears, I have sought you in my pain I believe that you are bringing healing to me I trust you care for me. Psalm 30:2

Read
Choose a theme in the Bible and follow that theme through your time of prayer. For example, if you choose the healing theme you might pray:

Pray Scripture for insight and wisdom Read a portion of Scripture -- pause and then ask God to reveal how that Scripture applies to your situation. As you sense God speaking to you ask Him for wisdom and guidance. Write down the insights God gives you.

Psalm 119:1-11
1 Blessed are the undeled in the way, Who walk in the law of the LORD! 2 Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart! 3 They also do no iniquity; They walk in His ways. 4 You have commanded us To keep Your precepts diligently. 5 Oh, that my ways were directed To keep Your statutes! 6 Then I would not be ashamed, When I look into all Your commandments. 7 I will praise You with uprightness of heart, When I learn Your righteous judgments. 8 I will keep Your statutes; Oh, do not forsake me utterly! 9 How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word.

10 With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments! 11 Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.

For I am the LORD who heals you." 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Matthew 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. Matthew 9:35 Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

James 5:14-16 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

The Death of Christ

I Peter 2:24-25 Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousnessby whose stripes you were healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls. II Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Romans 5:6-8 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Hebrews 2:14 Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of esh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil.

Philippians 2:5-11 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Psalm 122:6a Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. 1 Kings 8:30 And may You (God) hear the supplication of Your servant and of Your people Israel. When they pray toward this place, then hear in heaven Your dwelling place; and when You hear, forgive Nehemiah 1:5-6 I pray, LORD God of heaven, O great and awesome God, You who keep Your covenant and mercy with those who love You and observe Your commandments, please let Your ear be attentive and Your eyes open, that You may hear the prayer of Your servant which I pray before You now, day and night, for the children of Israel Your servants. Genesis 12:3 I will bless those who bless you (Israel), and I will curse him who curses you. II Chronicles 7:14-15 If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land (Israel). Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. Isaiah 62:6-7 I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem, Who shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent. And give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

Spiritual Strongholds
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds...

For though we walk in the esh, we do not war according to the esh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ ~2 Corinthians 10:3-5

The Scripture reminds us that our battle is spiritual and not simply physical. You can win the battle. We are told that we can overcome deep-seated spiritual forces in our lives. Some of these are the result of persistent and repeated sin others are the result of allowing entrance into our lives. The Bible calls these strongholds. There are four steps for victory:

Step 1: Identify potential strongholds in your life (see chart on next page) Step 2: Recognize the battleground (imagination, knowledge, thought) Step 3: Ask God to release you and breakdown the areas of bondage Step 4: Thank God for the victory on a daily basis
