Paper Title: Education in the World of Web 2.0 - Project based learning using Web 2.0 tools and LMS in distance education Submission code: 105 Evaluation Results: Originality: 4 - Neutral Significance: 4 - Neutral Technical: 4 - Neutral Relevance: 4 - Neutral Classification: 4 - Neutral Comments: The novel concept is not presented at all in this paper, there is no explanation of how web 2.0 tools and LMS are used to implment project based learning in this instance. Positive Points: Background information is given. I was expecting to read more about the model used to implement project based learning in Nesna University college but no information was given. If the paper is accepted I would recommend a rewrite of how web 2.0 and LMS were used in this instance for project based learning Negative Points: No literature referenced in the first two sections. Rewrite required if accepted

Comments: The paper is quite interesting but lacks in how web 2.0 tools were used in the course. Positive Points: The theoretical framework and descritption of the approach adopted for the course on Social Informatics are complete and enough clear. Negative Points: Please add a paragraph dealing with how web 2.0 tools were used during the learning tasks (i.e. just to propose learning materials, or as tools to produce the final reports for Save the Children Norway?). You may shorten paragraphs on project-based learning.

Originality: 5 - Average Significance: 5 - Average Technical: 4 - Neutral Relevance: 6 - Good Classification: 5 - Average Comments: The paper presents using the web 2.0 tools to create an environment for intrinsically motivated learning. It includes the rationale and pedagogy in distance learning with the technology. It is a significant topic. However, there is little technical contribution and the presented approach is very common used in distance education. Positive Points: Good rational and background review. Very interesting point on the learning evaluation. Negative Points: lack of creative idea and approach. There is no enough analysis and evaluation.

Originality: 1 - Mediocre Significance: 5 - Average Technical: 5 - Average Relevance: 5 - Average Classification: 3 - Not Very Good Comments: The real content of the e-learning project is too vague. A proof of such statement is that the paper seems a report that, from a methodological standpoint, could mention either a program for young pupils or a training course for any category of adult workers, but the reader has no substantial elements to individuate the level of the students. Positive Points: The paper is an accurate report of a real experience Negative Points: The content of the e-learning process seems poor and vague. The education theoretic considerations only mention common sense ideas and are quite obvious. The impression of the reader is that the simple use of ICT tools has replaced the possible (and expected) conceptual content of the educational project.
