Are there certain electives, concentrations, or minors that you should consider taking because they would provide you with additional knowledge, skills and experiences for your field of interest? If so, add them into your above planning. If you cannot fit them into your degree and graduate by your targeted goal date, would you consider staying for an additional semester? Consult with your Academic Advisor to make sure you correctly are interpreting your degree information. I am certainly considering minoring finance as it is strongly connected to management in business world. I have a dream. I want to be a professional company manager one day and develop my own company into a strong and international company. To do so, I should prepare myself well and gain a good knowledge of business as well as a great view of finance. Therefore, I would consider minor finance even though it can not fit into my targeted goal graduating date. What certification programs and professional association would be important for you to obtain and join to enhance your professionalism? The places I really want to join are some professional management programs which would enhance my professionalism to a higher level. In the program, I would be able to gain some knowledge and skills about management as well as the application of them through real business environment. For example, I would be able to apply some strategies that I learned into a real company and see if they will work to help improve the profit of the company. Furthermore, in the program, I would be able to talk to coworkers, improving my communication skills and better knowing the way how they thought to some different certain staff. I strong believe, through this professional management programs, I would have a great experience and significantly enhance my understanding of how management looks like in a real world.

To advance in your field, will you need to obtain an advanced degree and when would be the best time to pursue that (directly after earning your undergraduate degree or after you gain professional experience in your field)? To advance in management, it is for sure to obtain a master degree. In my perspective, the best time to pursue an advanced degree is after gaining some experience in a real business world for some main reasons. Although we might think that we have learned quite a lot from graduating from university, it is just a piece of iceberg and still far away from enough to be a professional company manager. Theories are useless unless we put them into reality. Thus, entering a company after graduating and starting from the very beginning stage as a worker is critical, since we will be able to observe the entire picture of the whole company and see the company from the other side but not from books. In addition, although we do practice a lot giving speech and talking in front of a large group of people, it would be very different thing to communicate with coworkers. Therefore, it is critical for a student who is pursuing management as a career to gain some experience after earning your undergraduate degree.
