Invitation to participate in the World Cup Legacy Exhibition in Doha, Qatar, 4-6 March 2013 Dear Exporter, The

dti invites you to participate in the World Cup Legacy Exhibition in Doha, Qatar, from 4-6 March 2013. The World Cup Legacy Exhibition will showcase South Africas 2010 World Cup legacy, the skills and expertise which South African companies have attained in their experience with hosting the World Cup. The objective of the World Cup Legacy Exhibition is to present the competencies of the South African companies that contributed to the successful hosting of the 2010 FIFA World Cup which was held in South Africa. South African companies have developed highly specialized skills and products during the preparations for and the hosting of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. There are now various opportunities for South African companies to market their expertise and collaborate in projects with future host cities of the FIFA World Cup. The World Cup Legacy Exhibition will focus on showcasing South Africas diverse range of capabilities to produce world class products and services. The target sectors for the World Cup Legacy Exhibition include: - Built environment professionals (consulting engineers, civil engineering contractors, quantity surveying and architects) - Aerospace, rail and marine (related to transport infrastructure for the World Cup) - Manufacturing (steel and tube, memorabilia) - Services (safety and security, ticketing); - Electro technical (ICT Infrastructure for the World Cup) - Agro-Processing (processed foods and flowers excluding wines) Companies will be screened and selected in accordance with EMIA guidelines and criteria, which are explained in the EMIA guidelines document. For the approved companies, the dti will provide: A subsistence allowance of R 2 000 per day. An economy class return airfare to a maximum of R 13 000 An excess baggage allowance of R 2 000 per approved participant (for samples and marketing material)

Companies that are not eligible for EMIA funding are welcome to participate in the exhibition at their own expense. Companies are welcome to apply for the World Cup Exhibition.
