WATERPROOFING

1. Material / Product Name Davco K11 Slurry 613 2. Composition A synthetic resins, Polymeric micro compound, two component cementitious waterproofing slurry. 3. Basic Uses Specially developed for waterproofing to basements, tunnels, concrete tanks, wall renderings, reservoirs, floor slabs, swimming pools, toilets, foundations walls, precast panels, etc. Davco K11 Slurry 613 can be used as levelling base as well as waterproofing before lying of carpets, vinyl or other floor tiles or wall paper. It is also used as a repair mortar for concrete honey-comb. Please consult Davco Technical representative for such application. 4. Instruction For Use Davco K11 Slurry 613 can be applied on the positive as well as on the negatives side of the building or structure. A) Surface Preparation Clean and remove surfaces of projections and ensure that it is free of all laitance, oil, grease, curing agents or other foreign matters. B) Mixing Mix part A 20 kg powder and part B 9 Litre liquid in a clear container with a power stirrer until a homogenous blend is achieved. Pre-soak the surface with water and allow no ponding while applying. Apply 1.5kg/m of Novabond Cementitious Waterproofing Slurry 613 (approx 2 coats). C) Application i) Apply a minimum of 2 coats with a bristle brush or broom starting at wall skirting approx. 300mm from concrete floor level. The application shall be done in a criss- cross manner between coats. Over coating shall be done after each coat is dried for approximately 24 hours.The thickness of the coated surface shall be monitored to ensure the requirements is achieved which shall withstand the specific water pressure. The application of Davco K11 Slurry 613 waterproofing is not possible at below 5 degree C (40 degree F) and on frozen surfaces. ii) All edges between floor & wall to apply angle fillet using cement / sand prior to application of waterproofing and to apply approx 300mm above the ground on the wall for skirting.

D) Curing

The waterproofed surfaced shall be allowed to cure for 36 hours before backfilling or applying any foreign toppings or ponding test shall be allowed for a minimum 3 days.

E) Protection Screed Immediately after ponding test approved to apply approx 12 mm thick screeds (cement/ sand) by others over the cured Davco K11 Slurry 613. 5.
