After seeing the wickedness of man, GOD decided to wipe mankind from the earth and re-create it with righteous man and chose Noah as the best among all the people of that time. God told Noah to build an ark in preparation for a catastrophic flood, for him and his family and also instructed Noah to bring into the ark two of all living creatures of every kind along with him. Noah obeyed everything GOD commanded him to do After they entered the ark, rain fell on the earth for a period of forty days and nights. The waters flooded the earth for a hundred and fifty days, and every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out. As the waters receded, the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. Noah and his family continued to wait for almost eight more months while the surface of the earth dried out. Finally after an entire year, God invited Noah to come out of the ark. Immediately, he built an altar and worshiped the Lord with burnt offerings... God was pleased with the offerings and promised never again to destroy all the living creatures as he had just done. Later God established a covenant with Noah: "Never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth." As a sign of this everlasting covenant God set a rainbow in the clouds.

A long, long time ago there lived a man called Manu, He was absolutely honest and also known as "Satyavrata" (One with the oath of truth). His wife was known as Satarupa or Satya-Rupa (the truth itself), He was wise and kind as well.

God tested his kindness by seeking his help in the form of fish. and later commanded him.
O kind-hearted man, you have care in your heart, listen now. Soon the world will be submerged by a great flood, and everything will perish. You must build yourself a strong ark, and take a long rope on board. You must also take with you the Seven Sages, who have existed since the Beginning of Time, and the seeds of all things and pair of each animal, when you are ready, I will come to you as Fish and I will have horns on my head. Do not forget my words, without me you cannot escape from the flood. Then Manu built the ark, and took the seeds of all things, the Seven Sages on board and a pair of each animal, and they set sail on the surging waters. Soon he saw the horned fish, and cast one end of the rope over its horns. Then the fish began to tow the ark through the tossing, roaring waves. The whole world was covered with water, and nothing was to be seen but the ark only... For year the fish towed the ark through the water, and at last it came to the highest mountain in the world Himalayas. At command, they tied the ark to the mountain peak and then the God said: O men of wisdom, I am the Creator of everything. I took on the shape of a fish, and I have saved you from this Flood. With my blessings you will once again fill the world with life and re-habitat it Manu offered prayer to the GOD became the father of a new race called Manush of living things. According to legend, he was the earth's first king as well.

Resemblance
If we leave minute detailed differences aside, both the stories describe the same incident. - Noa-kha in Sanskrit means Ark - Both Noah and Manu built the Ark - Both were commanded by God - Both stories talks about the great flood - Both persons were blessed by God. - Both were kind and righteous person - Both Noah and Manu re-established the mankind And so on.... There are numerous similarities and we can found double number of dissimilarity as well if we want, but the story was so old, so old that in every literature writer re-wrote it multiple time as he or she feels good and satisfy his mind. Same thing I am doing. From the wider angle it seems same story of own people of our own beautiful earth.
