Foreword
The OMU operating system is installed before the OMU is delivered BSC6900 commissioning is performed after the hardware is installed and before the services are provided. It aims to ensure that the BSC6900 can work normally through tasks such as equipment verification, BSC6900 board software and data file loading, interface verification, and service verification.

Definitions of IP addresses of the OMU


The OMU IP addresses include:
External fixed IP addresses Internal fixed IP addresses External virtual IP addresses Internal virtual IP addresses Debugging IP address. Backup channel IP address of the active and standby OMUs. (Optional)

Before an OMU is delivered, six IP addresses are configured. The default d f l IP addresses may not meet the requirement of onsite dd h i f i planning. All the OMU IP addresses need to be planned on site, and some of the IP addresses need to be re-set re set.

Run the lcd D:\ to set the local directory Run the mkdir /mbsc/upgrade to create the target directory Run the cd /mbsc/upgrade to go to the target directory Run the put -r V900R011C00 to upload the OMU application installation packet to the OMU After the loading is complete, enter the exit command to exist the psftp software

Checking the Operating Status of the Hardware


Before verifying the equipment ensure that the cabinet is equipment, powered on and operates normally

Run the cd /mbsc/bam/version_a/bin/bam command to switch to the directory where the omutool program locates. Run the ./omutool command to start omutool. Change the name and set the work mode of the OMU
Run the ./omutool hostname OMU name command to change the name of the OMU.
For example, you can run the following command and then press Enter to change the OMU name to omu_123: ./omutool hostname omu_123.

Set the work mode of the OMU according to the number of OMUa boards that are configured.
If only one OMUa board i configured, run the ./omutool dualmode l OMU b d is fi d th / t ld l d single command to set the work mode to the single-server mode. If two OMUa boards (active and standby OMUa boards) are configured, run the ./omutool dualmode dual command to set the work mode to the dual-server mode.

Run the /etc/rc d/omud start /etc/rc.d/omud command to start the OMU application. pp Run the ps -afx command to check the operating status of p g the OMU.
You can infer that the OMU is in normal state if all OMU processes exist in the OMU active workspace directory/mbsc/bam/version_a/ bin/bam/monitor.

The feature services consist of the inter-RAT handover, location service, and AMR service.
