3 2014) Parents seeking Admission of their wards into the Nursery Class for the Academic Session 20132014, may please apply on the Application Form attached in the Prospectus. For Admission to the Main Branch, the forms will be available at the Main School Office and for admission to the Beliaghata Campus, the forms will be available at the Beliaghata Campus Office. Forms will be issued from Tuesday 25th September to Friday 5th October, 2012 at Rs. 600/- each from 10.00 am to 1.00 p.m. only, except Saturdays, Sundays & Public Holidays. (Sale of Prospectus is subject to availability). CRITERIA: Candidates for Nursery should generally complete 4 years and below 5 years of age on 1st April 2013. Candidates who are overaged or underaged by a maximum of 1 month only may be considered for admission. Those candidates who do not fulfill this basic criteria will be disqualified. The Prospectus in non-transferable and candidates must be registered at the time of taking the Prospectus. For the purpose of Registration, the correct names of the candidate and father must be given in writing at the time of collecting the Prospectus. The Application Form must be filled in and the enclosures must be properly stapled to the Admission Form. Enclosures: (MUST BE PROPERLY STAPLED TO THE FORM) a) One post card size family photograph of the Father, Mother and the candidate ONLY. b) Two passport size photographs of the candidate. Both are to be pasted on this form in the appropriate box. c) An attested photocopy of the candidates birth certificate from the Kolkata Municipal Corporation or equivalent body. d) An attested photocopy of the discharge certificate from the Institution where the child was born. e) An attested photocopy of the Immunization Certificate. f) In the case of Christian candidates, photocopy of the Baptism Certificate, duly attested by the Pastor-in-Charge. g) In case of wards of ex-students of Calcutta Boys School, photocopy of the ISC/ ICSE Certificate issued by the Council h) In case of SC/ST/OBC, photocopy of the certificate. There are two collection boxes. Kindly ensure that the application is placed in the correct box. Applications deposited in the wrong box will be summarily rejected. Box A for: 1. 2. 3. 4. Applications are to be deposited in the respective Collection Boxes, kept at the inner School gate at any time between 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on all days from Wednesday 26th September to Friday 12th October, 2012 except on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays. APPLICATIONS WITH INCOMPLETE INFORMATION / DOCUMENTS OR WHERE THE INSTRUCTIONS HAVE NOT BEEN ADHERED TO, WILL BE REJECTED. The list of candidates to be called for the Interaction will be put on the Notice Board of the respective school (Main /Beliaghata Branch) on Saturday 1st December, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. At the time of the interaction, the following are necessary : (i) Compulsory attendance of the candidate. (ii) Compulsory attendance of Parents (both Father & Mother). (iii) Original Salary Certificates of Parents. (iv) Original Certificate of academic / professional qualifications of both parents. (v) Originals of all photocopied documents attached with the form. CAUTION 1. Candidates who fall in Category A i.e. (a) Christians & Anglo-Indians (b) sons of CBS & CGHS Staff (c) sons of ex-students of CBS only and (d) those who have own brothers (not cousin brothers) studying in Calcutta Boys School are given preference. However, selection for admission is not guaranteed for all. They must fulfill all criteria, by the specified time and must fare well at the interaction. 2. Boys appearing for the Nursery Admission are not permitted private tuition from any staff member of this school. Discovery of any such arrangement will lead to disqualification of the candidate concerned. 3. No middle men will be entertained.

4. The school does not accept any donations or other gifts in lieu of admissions.
5. Any attempt to influence the decision of the Principal in the form of photocopies of application forms (directly or to any employee of the School or to any other person), gifts or letters of recommendation will adversely affect the childs chances of being selected for admission. Please remember that a deserving candidate will lose his chance for admission if any such attempt is made. Please help the school in the task of fair and unbiased selection. 6. A child is not admitted on the basis of merit or intelligence only. Our aim is to select a cross-section of all communities and classes. 7. The Principals decision is final and binding at all stages.
