CHAPTER ONE Important Notices before Installation

Thanks for using MJ1225 Multifunctional printer! In order to keep smooth and continuous working status, good working environment and qualified operators are required.
I. Safety notices
1. Please take care of your own safety when unpacking the wooden case, make sure that the wood sheet and nails of the packing will not hurt human nearby. Meanwhile please pay attention not to damage the machine inside. 2. For the sake of the operators safety and the machine itself, appropriate and independent grounding wire is required. 3. Please make sure that the voltage of your power socket matches the requirement of the equipment. 4. Power Supply: single phase AC 50-60Hz 220V AC (1 0%) 5. Voltage stabilizer (2000VA) and UPS (over 2000VA) are highly recommended. 6. Make sure that the controlling socket is not in the same circuit for
the electric equipment that is switched between ON and OFF states (e.g. like copier, air conditioning system or refrigerator). 7. Never use the socket controlled by wall-mounted switch or automatic timer. 8. Keep your computer system away from potential electromagnetic interference sources, e.g. loudspeaker or cordless telephone base. 9. Never use damaged or broken power lines. 10. If any additional power line is used, remember that the total amperage of the equipment using this additional power line shall not exceed the rated amperage of this power supply. In addition, remember that the total amperage of all the wall-mounted equipment shall not exceed the rated amperage of wall-mounted socket. 11. Do not disassemble or modify the machine without professional advice. (Please contact the technical department for repair). 12. The weight of the printing medium should not exceed 20KG, printing media curve should not exceed 5mm, and media thickness should not exceed 100mm. 13. Put the ink bottle out of childrens reach. Prevent children from reaching the ink cartridge. II. Requirements on the Working Room

1. Machine should be placed on flat floors without slope (big slope would affect the machine running status). 2. Enough space should be left to for the machine movement. 3. Do not let the machine be directly exposed to sunshine, strong light or heat source. Avoid room with big temperature and humidity changes. 4. Recommended temperature: 18-28, recommended humidity: 30%~60%. Air conditioner, thermometer and hygrometer are suggested to ensure best running condition. 5. Put the machine away from fire or heat source. Do not put inflammable objects on the machine. 6. The machine shall be kept away from strong interference radiation source. 7. Keep the working shop ventilated and dustproof.
III. Computer Configuration

This printer should be equipped with a computer, the configuration is recommended below:

CHAPTER TWO Machine Introduction

Kingma MJ1225 printer is able to print maximally 1118mm*2500mm, during the printing process; the printer header will move from front to back, hence, we can feed materials in the front when printing at the back, while feed materials in the back when printing at the front.

CHAPTER FOUR New Machine Installation

I. New Machine Setup
For a new machine, we need first turn on the power (both Control panel and operation panel) to check whether the working table can move correctly and the machine can get READY to work.
II. Ink Filling

After checking the machine, we need to fill the ink and blotting the inks to the whole ink supply system. Process as below:
1. Open the ink box window, fill the right color ink to the right ink bottle, take care the ink will not be poured out. (The ink better be filled at 2/3 level of the ink bottle)
If the above way is not convenient for operation, then please unscrew the two screws and take out the printer cover for fill, steps as below:

(Take care that the ink will not be pushed out to your clothes, skins, or eyes)
The ink level better be filled at 2/3 level of the damper.
Then insert the damper again to its place.
3. After all the tubes and dampers are filled with ink, then press MENU button for 3 seconds to reach the cleaning process.
4. Then print a nozzle check to see whether all the inks can come out correctly. If all the nozzle blocks are full, then it means the machine is now ready for print. If there are still broken lines, then cleaning for several more times until it is full.
CHAPTER FIVE Printer Drive Installation

Insert the Drive CD; install the printer drive by following steps: 1. Open the CD and Click Setup
2. Choose 9880C and finish the installation.
3. Select Manual installation type and choose the right USB port.
4. Select Printer and Fax from the Computer Control Panel, the installed drive can be viewed here, set it on-line.
5. Under properties ----advanced option, select save printed files, so all printed files will be saved in the printing list.
6. Right click EPSON Stylus Pro 9880C and select printing preference, set the correct parameter according to your printing demand.
Under Main Manu: Media Type: Normally we use double weight Matte paper or single weight Matte Paper, you can also choose other paper type to see the different printing effect.
Paper Source: Always select Roll paper, select OFF in Roll paper option
Paper Size: Choose user defined and set the printer max. printing size: 1180mm*2500mm and click OK.
Under Utility Manu Speed and Progress: Click Disable Epson Status Monitor 3, then click OK to save this setting.
CHAPTER SIX Machine Operation

After the new machine setting and drive installation, then we can start the machine to do the printing. (Notice: before we send the printing job, we need to make sure that the control panel is in online status, otherwise the machine head will print in the same position.) 1. LCD Control Panel: controls the machinery part as movement of the working table
2. LCD Operation Panel: takes charge of the printing operations.
I. LCD Control Panel:

This Panel mainly controls the machine power status and movement of working table and machine head.
A. SWITCH
After switch on the power, the indicator light will be on, the LCD Control panel can be operated freely,.
B. LCD display Indicate the Current status ONLINE: Ready status. Each time before sending the printing job, make sure that the machine is in ONLINE status. Once the machine is ONLINE, the FOR & BACK button is out of function, while UP& DOWN function can be operated to adjust the height of the working table. OFFLINE: When machine is OFFLINE, all buttons in the control panel is in function. FRONT: indicate the machine head is in the utter front position. END: indicate the machine head is at the end position.

When machine is in ONLINE status, press ESC can make it OFFLINE. After finished printing, the machine head will move to the end automatically. Press ESC can make it stop moving to the end. E. After switch on the power, can press this button to immediately
reach the operation status to save the waiting time.
F.
When machine is in OFFLINE status, no matter which position
the machine head is in, the machine will get ONLINE and ready for print right in its current position after press this button. G. ENTER BUTTON
If the machine head is already at the front position, the printer will get ONLINE and ready for print after press this button. If the machine head is at the middle or back position, the machine head will move to its utter front and same time get ready for print by pressing this button.

2. Operation
1.Press power button, then wait the machine to get READY by itself, or we can press LEFT button when it shows below message to make it quicker.
2. If the machine gets ready and shows:

III. Media feeding:

Media position: For random printing, we can put the material on the origin point (0-0 point) of the working table and set the same position when output. For high requirement printing, we can measure the exact object size or even scan the outline/pattern of the object, then print out the pattern first on the working table for positioning. Print head Distance adjustment: Press UP or DOWN button in the LCD control panel to adjust the height, the ideal printing position is 3MM between the media and print head.
CHAPTER SEVEN GRAPHIC SOFTWARE
1. Open and edit the image in graphic software like Photoshop, CorelDraw, ect. The max printing size is 1180mm*2500mm.
7. After edition and typesetting, click print with preview to enter the print window.
3. Set the position you want to print, and put the objects on the accordingly place, for irregular-shaped objects, can scan the outline/pattern and print it out on the working table for positioning, then click print.
4. Select the correct printer and click properties, which is same as we illustrated in the previous Chapter Printer drive, keep same setting for media type, paper source, ect, now we only need to set the printing quality/speed. In print quality options, there are five different quality levels: bigger figure means the higher resolution and better quality, but lower speed; you can select different level according to the different printing demand, normally we use Level 3.
Unchosen high speed means Single direction printing; Choose high speed means bi-direction printing.
5. Click ok and print out the image.
CHAPTER EIGHT Daily Maintenance

1. Maintenance tips:
a. Keep the machine clean and dustproof. b. Keep the Timing slit film clean, if it is dirt with inks, please use clean tissue to gently clean it. c. Pay attention to the guide rails that lead the print head and machine head; add some lubricant oil to make it smooth when necessary. d. Ensure there is enough ink in the bottle during the printing process. e. Stock the consumables safely in pleasant environment. f. Print a piece of nozzle check every day before work to check the print head status. If there are broken lines in the nozzle check, then click cleaning to clean the print head. then press Menu button to enter Nozzle Check option, then press Menu button again to Print.
Cleaning: If there is broken lines in the nozzle check, press Menu button for 3 seconds, the printer will do the self-cleaning.
2. Ink chip error:

After power on, if the machine cant get READY and the cartridge box in the LCD operation panel is blinking, it means ink chip error occurs:
Solutions: Step 1: Please open the machine back cover, there are 9 ink chip which connect with the ink chip board, we marked the Numbers (e.g.1.2.3.4) on the cable for identify, which is in accordance with the numbers in that of the ink cartridges. The 9th one is for waste ink tank. INK CHIP BOARD:

Step 2: Take out the ink chip decoder
Step 3: Find the ink chip that has problem, take out its ink chip cable, then use the decoder chip to decode it. If the ink chip can be decoded, then might need to change a new ink chip. 3.
