TRANSCRIPT OF SCOTT KIRCHERS CALL TO SHERIFFS DEPARMTENT TWO CALLS

FIRST CALL SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Sheriffs Department. SCOTT KIRCHER: Yeah. Hi. Say, uh, Scott Kircher here. I just had a run-in, with uh, Bradley Kuehn. Uh, he just tried to run me over with his four-wheeler. He smashed me in the throat and its like my, I think my lower jaw might be broke. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Ok. SCOTT KIRCHER: Yup. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Are you going to want an ambulance at all? SCOTT KIRCHER: Nah I dont think so. I mean, my teeth feel a little loose and there is a big hole in my lower jaw, on the inside. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Mmm hmm. SCOTT KIRCHER: But uh, I dont know I might need to see a dentist in a couple of days but, I mean theres tracks out in Butch Steeles field where he tried to run me over. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Mmm hmmm. SCOTT KIRCHER: Then he hit me out in the middle of the road. My daughter Eden was looking out the window. I mean, this has got to stop. SHERIFFS DEPRATMENT: Ok, who was the guy?

SCOTT KIRCHER: Brad Kuehn. SHERIFFE DEPARTMENT: Brad Kuehn SCOTT KIRCHER: Yup. You guys have been out here, every couple weeks all summer. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Ok. And where did this take place, Scott? SCOTT KIRCHER: Right at, uh, whats the fire number here, Eden? EDEN: 10-1-1-0-4 SCOTT KIRCHER: 10-1-1-0-4 Sand Ridge Road, Pepin. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Ok, um, Scott can you, is it, is your full name Scott? S-C-O-TT? SCOTT KIRCHER: It is. SHERIFFS DEAPRTMENT: Ok. Whats your middle initial? SCOTT KIRCHER: M. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: And Kircher. K-I-R SCOTT KIRCHER: C-H-E-R. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Ok. And your date of birth, Scott? SCOTT KIRCHER: June 12, 61. SHERIOFFS DEPARTMENT Ok. Right now my deputy is going to be a little bit. Are you, uh, safe away from Brad right now? SCOTT KIRCHER: Yeah he went back in the house. They, they started screaming at me, accusing me, of harassing them of all things. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Ok SCOTT KIRCHER: So SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Alright uh and a phone number I can call you back at, Scott. SCOTT KIRCHER: Whats your number, Eden?

SCOTT KIRCHER: 5-0-7-8-8-4. Its a new cell phone number. EDEN: 50788455. IAUDIBLE Man, he screwed up my jaw. He just drilled me. Out in the middle of the street he just fricken decked me. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: 5-0-7-8-8-4.. SCOTT KIRCHER: I have a big hole in my lower jaw. Bleeding. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Ok. SCOTT KIRCHER: Uh, its 5-0-7-8-8-4 EDEN MACHEY: 7-5-6-7. SCOTT KIRCHER: 7-5-6-7. SHERIFFS DEPARMENT: Ok, are you going to be there for a while, Scott? SCOTT KIRCHER: Yeah. Either that or next door. I live next door. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Ok. Uh, what is, whats uh, your address Scott? SCOTT KIRCHER: 10-1-1-1-0. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Sandridge? SCOTT KIRCHER: Yep. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: And did the altercation talk place at your place, or where you are at now? SCOTT KIRCHER: It took place on Sandridge Road in, over in, Butch Steeles field, which is the property adjoining Brads. SHERIFFS DEPARTMET: Butch Steele? SCOTT KIRCHER: Yes. Butch Steele owns the hay field I was walking through when brad tried to run me over with his 4 wheeler. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Ok

SCOTT KIRCHER: And then he came out. He followed me out into the middle of the road. He parked his four-wheeler and followed me out in the road and just drilled me in the throat. I mean SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: He punched you in the throat? SCOTT KIRCHER: My teeth are loose. Yeah my teeth are loose. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Ok SCOTT KIRCHER: He, uh, punched me in the throat, but he must have hit my lower jaw. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Mmhmm. SCOTT KIRCHER: And I got a hole on the inside of my jaw. I am bleeding pretty good. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Ok. SCOTT KIRCHER: inaudiblea couple loose teeth. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: You dont want an ambulance? SCOTT KIRCHER: Nah. Ill just go see a dentist tomorrow. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Ok. Alright. Um. Ill send my deputy your way and uh itll be a while as the roads are kind of slippery, ok? SCOTT KIRCHER: Ok SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Thanks. SCOTT KIRCHER: You bet. SHERIFFS OFFICE: Buh-bye SCOTT KIRCHER: Bye.

SECOND CALL SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Sheriffs department. SCOTT KIRCHER: Yah, hi. hey, uh, Scott Kircher again. Did I just talk to you? SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Yep.

SCOTT KIRCHER: Yah, hey, uh, I think I might have to go to the hospital. Im, its getting hard to swallow, my jaw is swelling up and it hurts really bad. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Ok, um. SCOTT KIRCHER: Its still bleeding pretty good, too. You know Id like to get somebody out here so they can get pictures of where he tried to run me over in the neighbors field. You know, hes not supposed to be trespassing on that land and I got permission to be over there. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Scott, my deputy is in route. SCOTT KIRCHER: Alright. Should I just wait for him? SHERFFS DEPARTMENT: Thats up to you. SCOTT KIRCHER: I have a big hole in my jaw. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Scott SCOTT KIRCHER: Im bleeding SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Scott, I am not there SCOTT KIRCHER: Yah. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: to advise whether you should or shouldnt go. I dont know the extent of your injuries. SCOTT KIRCHER: So long do you think he might be? SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: um SCOTT KIRCHER: I mean, it aint going to matter if its a half hour or an hour before I get to the doctor but I think I am going to have to go. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Scott inquiring whether he should go or stick around. SCOTT KIRCHER: Well Im going to have to go eventually. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Hold on a minute, Scott. SCOTT KIRCHER: Yeah. DEPUTY: Im just, uh, south of Durand. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: My deputy is just south of the city of Durand right now.

SCOTT KIRCHER: Ok. Alright. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: So SCOTT KIRCHER: Gotcha. Id like to make sure that, ya know, he sees, ya know, like the tire tracks because it snowed last night. Inaudible. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Mmm hmm. SCOTT KIRCHER: Whatever. Ya know. Before I go. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Mmm hmm. SCOTT KIRCHER: But I, its starting, my throat is starting to swell up pretty bad. I mean, I think he got me with a big left hook under my jaw and... SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Is there somebody there with you, Scott? SCOTT KIRCHER: There is. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Ok. Um SCOTT KIRCHER: But its SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Do you want an ambulance, or no? SCOTT KIRCHER: I dont, I dont think I need an ambulance. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Ok. SCOTT KIRCHER: Maybe my daughters or son, my son-in-law is out hunting, but he is just next door. I mean, somebody can take me. I dont need an ambulance. But I mean, its worse than I thought. I am starting to have trouble talking and stuff. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Mmmhmm. SCOTT KIRCHER: Ya know, its only been what, 10, 15 minutes since I talked to ya? SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Mmhmm. SCOTT KIRCHER: Its getting worse. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: I dont even know if it has been that long. SCOTT KIRCHER: Ya. Right. But its starting to swell up or something.

SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Ok. SCOTT KIRCHER: Ok. SCOTT KIRCHER: I think Ill wait here for the officer, then. Yup. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Ok sounds good. SCOTT KIRCHER: Alright. Buh-bye. SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Yup. Bye.
