Jason Kwek Its Not About Obama

270 was the magic number, the first to cross the mark and secure that number of electoral votes will be announced the President of the United States. Many of us were caught in the fever of the US Presidential Election, if I guess correctly, there were more in this part of the world who were rooting for Obama than Romney. To be honest, I support neither, I didnt think Romney would make a good President for he is a Mormon, while Obama advocates the legalisation of gay marriages and is pro-abortion. My initial thought was Obama is the problem, and his re-election is going to send America down a spiral of further moral decline. But when the news of Marijuana legalization passes in Colorado, Washington broke. I realized that Americas problem is deeply rooted, the American society is in severe moral decline, and the legalization of all the detestable acts (gay marriages, abortion, marijuana) is a reflection of the Americans heart condition, hence they proceed to install a like-minded President. Lessons Learned: 1. Although the government is elected by human, it is God who is sovereign. He sets up and removes kings and leaders. Daniel 2:21 2. All of us included will one day stand before God to give an account of our lives to God. Whoever is appointed to run a country has the responsibility to run the country fairly and justly, morals have to be uphold. He will ultimately have to give an account of himself to God. 3. We are truly deprave and sinful. We are rebels against God and all that He stands for. Given the choice, we would want to legalize all the sinful acts, we want the freedom to sin. Hence, America is currently the quintessential expression of that rebellion. 4. Just because we legalize it doesnt mean it is right before God. Prostitution can be legalized, drugs can be legalized, murder can be legalized. But they are still evil in the sight of God. We should be guided and abide by Gods standard, according to the principles laid out in the Bible. 5. Indeed God only has children, and not grand children & great grand children. Unlike other religions where one can be born into the faith, no one is born as a Christian. One need to come into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and salvation is personal, being born to Christian parents doesnt equates to

salvation.Many of the early Americans may be Christians, but many in America right now are not. Evangelism to our children is first and foremost our duty, we need to teach them Gods words and live out a godly example for them. Please Pray for: Pray for the gospel to be preached to the Americans and that Gods Spirit will work among them and turn them to surrender their lives to Jesus. Pray for the American leadership, that those in power will rule the nation justly and do what is right in the sight of God.
