Abstract This manuscript is a beautiIully calligraphed and illuminated
small codex containing the Iamous poem in honor oI the
prophet Muhammad. popularly known as Qasdat al-Burdah
('The poem oI the mantle'). composed by SharaI al-Dn
Muhammad al-Bsr (d. 694 AH / 1294 CE) and executed
in a number oI scripts. probably in Iran. by Habb Allh ibn
Dst Muhammad al-Khwrizm in the 11th century AH / 17th
CE.
