I think that my video was successful at quite a few things. The first success being the content. I covered all of the areas and topics that I had planned on talking about, and made it easy for the viewers to understand each area of my video, as well as to understand what I use each item for. I spoke about enough items in my video to keep the viewer interested but so many that the viewer would become bored with the video. I am pleased with the video quality of my video. It is not too grainy, I used good lighting, and the audio quality is clear and at a good volume. I believe that I used good background music, and that I edited the background music well, so that it does not become too distracting for the viewer, but creates a noticeably calm atmosphere. I think that the editing in my video is good, besides a few cuts in the audio, due to me having to trim some clips and edit out some bloopers. I used enough simple transitions and quick, easy to understand title and end credit clips. The areas where my video failed, would be in not having a very creative script. I did not focus on trying to make my video humorous or extraordinarily entertaining. I spent more time on making sure that the video was informative, and that the topics and items that I covered were conveyed to viewers in a clear manner. 4. Although I am quite pleased with my video, there is of course room for improvement. I believe that using a different location to record my video would have been highly beneficial. A different location would have meant better lighting, for example if I had recorded my video outside, then it might have given the video a more lively and friendly feel. I think that it would have been good to move around more in my video, when watching the video, it seems like it is being recorded in quite a small space which kind of reduces the quality of the video because it might make the viewer feel that the video is kind of tight or even claustrophobic. 5. I think that I have been quite successful in most if not all of the stages of the design cycle for this Unit of Work. I completed all of my work by the deadlines that we were given, and I was pleased with the work I did for each section of the design cycle. During the investigate stage I wrote about all of the elements where each of the videos that we watched were successful, and where they failed. I also gave a variety of options for the equipment that I could use for the recording of my video, as well as the limitations of each one. The script that I wrote for my video during the investigate stage allowed me to give an outline of the topics that I wanted to speak about in my video, although I did not speak about the topics in the same order as in that script. During the design stage, I created my three storyboards, all of which I believe could have been successful, I did of course chose the one that I thought would work the most for my video. I made sure that each design was realistic, and that if for some reason I was not able to use one of them, I would have the two others to chose from and still be able to produce an okay video. My justification of my choice for my storyboard covered all of the required points as well.

During the plan stage, I was successful in creating my Gantt chart. I did have to do some research on how to create a Gantt chart on google docs, prior to actually making it. Although this was the most difficult part of the design cycle for me, I still managed to complete it. My plan included all of the dates for which I wanted to complete the different tasks on the road to actually creating the final product of my video. My Gantt chart displays all of my tasks and dates in a clear, easy to understand way. The create stage of my video went well. I was successful in creating my video, and I was happy with the quality of the final product. I spoke clearly, there was not a lot of background noise, and I gave viewers an insight into the technology that i use today, what i hope to use in ten years, and some of my goals and accomplishments. I think that my video is successful in not being silly, but not boring to watch. 6. My performances throughout the design cycle could have been improved, by taking more time to carefully plan out each area of the design cycle. If I would have created a timetable at the beginning of the project, like the one that we created for our plan stage, then it would have been easier to set personal deadlines for each task that we had to do in the investigate and design stages as well as the plan and create stage. In the investigate stage, I think that if I were to have written a more detailed script, then I would not have had to create more than one script. During the design stage I could have attempted to create more entertaining and creative ideas for my video. During the create stage of my video, I could have used a few different recording techniques or locations for the recording.
