MOUNT CARMEL HIGH SCHOOL


The camp will stress mechanics and proper technique while covering the mental and physical aspects of the following areas: Hitting, Fielding, Baserunning, Pitching, and Catching. You will learn fundamentals from the Mount Carmel Coaches and Alumni, which are the same drills used at all the top colleges and in the professional ranks. There is no need to pre-register. Registration will take place upon entry at 8:00am. This is a free clinic. In addition to receiving instruction from MC Coaches and Alumni, each camper will also receive a Camp T-Shirt. Camp is open to baseball players from 5th - 8th grade. Tours and additional school information will be available for parents. Brian Hurry
Brian Hurry begins his 16th season at Mount Carmel and his 14th as Varsity Head Coach. Before coming to Mount Carmel, Coach Hurry played baseball at

the College of St. Francis and had the privilege to play for baseballs all-time winningest coach, Gordie Gillespie. At St. Francis, he was a reserve middle infielder on the 1993 NAIA National Championship team. During his final season, Hurry was named Team Captain for the Saints 1996 Regional-Finalist ballclub. Coach Hurry completed his Masters De-

gree in Administration in 2004 and currently serves as a faculty member in Mount Carmels Social Studies Department. Coach Hurrys emphasis on preparation, discipline, and respect for the game has resulted in 11 consecutive Regional-Championships, five Sectional-ChampiCaravan uniform, the way we sprint on and off the field, and the way we take our pre-game infield. Our players also take pride in the way we accept success and failure, and how we treat our opponents and umpires. The real key to winning, is having good, self-motivated athletes who accept responsibility for their actions and development. Most importantly, our players understand that they are students first and athletes second.
