Nicky will be joined by Sheila McBreen-Kerr from the Christchurch Central Development Unit, Coralie Winn from Gap Filler and Diana Stil, Managing Director of Nikau Contractors. There will be time for a general discussion afterwards. SPEAKERS: Sheila McBreen-Kerr (Christchurch Central Development Unit) - Sheila McBreen-Kerr is a senior manager at Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority. Sheila has been involved in the Christchurch recovery since the first earthquake in September 2010. She played a lead role in the government sector response to the disruption the quakes caused to business and the private sector. This included the development of the Draft Economic Recovery Programme. Recently Sheila was part of the CCDU blueprint investment team and now heads Invest Christchurch; a facilitation service to assist owners, businesses, finance or debt providers to be part of the Christchurch recovery.

Coralie Winn (Gap Filler) Coralie Winn has a mixed and varied background in the creative
arts. In recent years she has been involved in the arts scene in Christchurch running a gallery, running and developing an Artist in Residence Programme, working for festivals and performing with experimental, physical theatre troupe Free Theatre Christchurch (est. 1980) in Christchurch and around New Zealand. After being made redundant from the Arts Centre as a result of the September 4, 2010 earthquake in Christchurch, Coralie and two others created Gap Filler to bring creativity, positive energy, opportunity and life to Christchurchs vacant spaces. Revised and expanded in light of the February 22, 2011 quake, Coralie is a co-founder of Gap Filler and now runs the initiative full-time as its Director. Gap Filler now has 5 staff (3 FTE)

and was recently featured in the Lonely Planet City Guide for 2013 where Christchurch was #6 on its list of top cities to visit.

Diana Stil (Nikau Contractors Ltd) Diana Stil is a founding director of both Nikau Contractors and Nikau Environmental Ltd with over 30 years experience in New Zealands construction and demolition industries. She has extensive practical and technical knowledge and experience. Diana is also the current president of the New Zealand demolition and Asbestos Industries, a national body incorporated to develop skills of those working within the demolition and asbestos industries as well as improve the overall performance of both industries.
