PRAYER OF CONFESSION Multiplier of grace, we love the story of the poor widow who is praised by Jesus for offering her small gift. We tell ourselves that you prefer a meager gift over large sums given by the rich. We justify our token contributions, convincing ourselves that we too are poor, forgetting that in your eyes, we are the worlds rich, ignoring the inconvenient truth that unlike the poor widow we never give all we have. Forgive us when we justify our selfish ways. Grant us generous hearts, that we may be opened to the joy of helping others, that we may know the satisfaction of helping to heal the world. WORDS OF ASSURANCE Leader: God is gracious and merciful, providing abundantly for anxious children. Out of Gods gracious mercy, we are forgiven people. People: Lord, give us grace to trust you more. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. OFFERING OUR GIFTS AND PRAYERS Offering envelopes may be found inside front cover of UM Hymnal. A SONG OF PRAISE TO GOD UMH #94

Neighborhood WalkThe Evangelism Committee will once again be sponsoring the neighborhood walk to share upcoming Advent activities and church information on Sunday, November 18, at 2:00 p.m. The more walkers we have the more neighbors we can reach! You may sign up in the narthex or by contacting Myrna Cavender at 280-0963. PoinsettiasIf you would like to purchase poinsettias in memory or in honor of someone special, we will begin taking orders next Sunday, November 18th.
