resident Barack Obama has been re-elected for a second term, defeating Republican challenger Mitt Romney. "We've got more work to do," Obama declared, addressing a cheering crowd at his victory rally in Chicago early Wednesday morning. Obama spoke to supporters at his campaign headquarters shortly after Romney called the president to concede. Obama congratulated his opponent on a "hard-fought campaign." He secured more than the 270 votes in the Electoral College needed to win. The final count stands at 332 votes for Obama, to Romney's 206. Obama got 60,460,020 or 50% of the vote, while Romney scored 57,653,987 or 48% of the popular vote. Mr Obama said he would talk to Mr Romney about "where we can work together to move this country forward." The Democrats retained their majority in the Senate. The Republicans kept control of the House of Representatives, which analysts say will result in more of the challenges Mr Obama faced in his first term with the House.

Obama will need tolerance and compromise! O

n November 6, Americans voted for President Barack Obama to a second and final term in office effective January 20, 2013. Obama got 60,460,020 or 50% of the vote, while Romney scored 57,653,987 or 48% of the popular vote. President Obamaa was enthusiastically supported by African-Americans, Latinos and Asian-Americans because he championed a health care reform that would allow most Americans to get medical care and promises to increase jobs and enhance economic growth by investing in refurbishing the nations infrastructure. His opponent Republican Mitt Romney failed to put forward polices to impress the voters especially African-Americans, Latinos and Asian-Americans. Romney was never seen as the right person who would look out for minorities. While Obamas performance was not very impressive, he was seen as the more trustworthy person. According to the people Obama is the best of two evils. With the elections behind us, President Obama's must now focus on the issues affecting the overall economy and the people. We need strategies to grow the economy, while managing the fiscal operations. The US reported a trade deficit equivalent to $41.6 Billion in September of 2012 and as of the end of October 2012 a total public debt of $16.261 trillion. The current account balance is one key indicator of how a country is doing economically. Obama must put in place long term and sustainable policies to address our immigrants challenges. As of July, Obama deported 1.4 million illegal immigrants since the beginning of his administrationthats 1.5 times more immigrants on average than George Bush deported every month, according to official numbers from the Department of Homeland Security.

Editorial

The Presidents Deferred Action for young immigrant must be replaced with permanent policies to take these innocent children into citizenship. Overall the people are expecting better health care, security and job creation initiatives during Obamas final term in office. Based on our system of governance, Obama will need the support and cooperation of both Democrats and Republicans in the Congress and Senate. With the Republicans majority in House of Representative and the Democrats controlling the Senator, it will be a challenging period for Obama as the competing political forces get to work. While, this will be a test of Obmas leadership and his ability to work with his political opponents, both parties must demonstrate tolerance and compromise as they seek to work for the people.

cstatic, the feeling I experienced upon opening an email from a fellow expatriate in Saudi Arabic. She forwarded a letter to me that read: Congratulations on your acceptance to our Masters program. When this expatriate came to me for advice on the Masters program in her area of interest over a year ago I was delighted to help. She applied to a few universities, and was devastated when she received the first rejection letter. I assured her that rejections dont mean giving up on your dreams. Receiving this acceptance letter meant that she had the opportunity to flourish, gain employment and escape words that haunted and hurt her feelings over the years. Those words were: you are stupid, you are already forty- you are too old to go back to school, and you are fat and ugly no man will ever want you. Those were all words she heard from her husband she had been married to for over 20 years. Those words almost mentally destroy her. I am not a psychologist, but an educator that specializes in leadership. As an educator and a leadership expert, I know that you cannot move forward in any endeavor if you are crippled by a situation. Specifically in this situation, it is words. Using words to hurt your character, and to purposely break you down is called psychological abuse. According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, psychological abuse is the malicious and explicit nonphysical acts against a child, dependent adult, or an intimate partner. This can include controlling the victims freedom, and effectively acting to destabilize or isolate the victim. Various studies have demonstrated that psychological abuse can causes long-term damage to its victims mental health. To hold power over the abused, the abuser will resort to a number of tactics designed to hold one emotionally captive.

Democrats Continue to dominate local elections results

Continued from page 1 Representative in 16th Congressional District, Bronx Eliot L. Engel (D) Assemblymen Ruben Diaz, Eric Stevenson and Eric Adams were among the other incumbent winners in the November 6 elections. The possibility that the Republicans (GOP) could lose their power in Albany reflects the decline of enrolled Republicans in New York and backlash to the socially conservative stances of the national party, state GOP officials and strategists said. For the Senate Republicans, theres a lot of overhang and a lot of downhill negative residual pain thats felt from the national party being so out of step with state and northeastern Republicans, said David Catalfamo, a Republican strategist in Albany and former communications director for Gov. George Pataki. In 2002, Pataki was the last Republican to win statewide. Republicans lost seats in

state and federal offices on Election Day. If election results stand, Republicans in January will hold six of the states 27 seats in the U.S. House, down from the eight seats they won two years ago. In the state Senate, Republicans are on the verge of losing their 33-29 seat majority. Democrats believe they are poised to pick up as many as four seats, but two races are too close to call. Republicans lost at least five seats in the state Assembly, where Democrats were expected to hold a 106-44 seat majority in January. State GOP chairman Ed Cox pointed to the challenges the party was up against during 2012 elections. President Barack Obama received 63 percent of the vote in New York, the highest in any large state. The last Republican to be elected in New York was Ronald Reagan in 1984.

ongratulations are in order for President Barack Obama who was reelected for another term. Obama will be the fourth Democratic president in Americans history to serve two terms. Yes my friends, Obama made history twice. Miniroties and women voter turnout, boost his changes and surprisingly enough he also captured white and rural states like Iowa, New Hampshire especially Pennsylvania and florida, romney was sure he had those states in the bag. This was a landslide win with more than 300 electoral votes for President Barack Obama. The President will continue to rain in power, but he's not out of the woods with the likes of Donald, Mitt, Paul and some of the richest people in the country who oppose his plan to increase tax on the 1% most richest americans. The Republican party needs to jump on Obamas bandwagon to redeem their partys credibility and show the world that they're not sore losers, but they are the United States of America. lifelong Democrat and former Bronx borough president and current Obama adminstration official Adolfo Carrion is seeking to run on the Republicans tickets in the New York City mayoral elections 2013. On Wednesday night, Carrion met with the citys Republican party leaders. Borrowing a page from the Mike Bloombergs playbook, Carrion is seeking the Republican nomination in order to avoid whats shaping up as a very crowded Democratic primary. But because he's not a registered trist and a pragmatist and somebody who cares about solutions," Carrion said.

These are the first of what is expected to be a series of actions taken in a wideranging investigation launched in the wake of Hurricane Sandy for price gouging after receiving hundreds of complaints from consumers across the state of New York. "Our office has zero tolerance for price gouging and we are taking action to send a message that ripping off New Yorkers is against the law," said Attorney General Schneiderman.

"Today's action is the first in a series of steps my office will take as we continue to actively investigate the hundreds of complaints we've received from consumers of businesses preying on victims of Hurricane Sandy. New York States Price Gouging Law (General Business Law 396-r) prohibits merchants from taking unfair advantage of consumers by selling goods or services for an "unconscionably excessive price" during an "abnormal disruption of the market." The price gouging law covers New York State vendors, retailers and suppliers, including but not limited to supermarkets, gas stations, hardware stores, bodegas, delis, and taxi and livery cab drivers. News Americas, NY, NY: aribbean consuls general from several nations got a tour of the storm ravaged area of Far Rockaway, Queens recently, courtesy of Les Mullings of the Community Church of the Nazarene. Consuls general Julian Dubois of St. Herman LaMont Lucia, Charles Forbin, of Haiti, Omyma E. David of Antigua and Barbuda, Francis Ignatious of St Lucia, Herman LaMont of Jamaica, and Derrick James of Grenada have begun pitching in to help Caribbean nationals who are affected by the hurricane that ravaged many New York areas, leaving thousands without a home as well as without power, heat, water or food in some instances. The consuls say they have been fielding frantic calls from Caribbean nationals in the region trying to locate relatives in the city, since many residents are still without power and reliable phone connections. Its an ongoing process, LaMont of Jamaica told the New York Daily News. A lot of it is going to be human support, empathizing with people. We hope to establish those reconnections. We tried to mobilize as best we can, Julian Dubois, consul general of St. Lucia, was quoted as saying during his visit. Some of the consuls have also been going door-to-door in the enclaves of Canarsie and Far Rockaway, looking for those in the Caribbean Diaspora in need of assistance. Several also doled out hot meals at an evacuation shelter at Queens College last week. The U.S. government is always willing to give to Haiti. It was my duty to offer my help, Forbin, consul general of Haiti, who was at the school serving meals told the paper. This was something that I needed to do. More persons of West Indian ancestry live in New York City than any city outside of the West Indies. The ten nations constituting the largest sources of modern immigration to New York City include Caribbean nations of the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Guyana, Haiti and Trinidad and Tobago.

Authorities say Meng promised to pay off Manhattan prosecutors in a tax fraud case against a Meng associate. The first AsianAmerican elected to the state Legislature, Meng represented Flushing from 2005 to 2006. Meng's daughter, Grace Meng, was elected earlier this month to become the first Asian-American congresswoman in New York State history. She is not involved in the case against her father, and she refused to comment matter.

Dominica: The Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court of Appeal will on Tuesday begin hearing arguments, from two politicians who have challenged the participation of Dominica's Prime Roosevelt Skerrit Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit, in an election three years ago, on the basis that he was a dual citizen. The petitioners are former leader of the Opposition United Workers Party, Ron Green, and his colleague Maynard Joseph, who were defeated in Dominca's 2009 general election. Earlier this year they challenged the nominations of the Prime Minister and his education minister, Petter Saint Jean, to contest two constituencies, on the basis that they held French citizenship. But a high court judge ruled that the petitioners failed to show evidence that the government members had pledged allegiance to a foreign state, or that they possessed French passports. Mr. Green and Mr. Joseph have appealed that ruling.

here is persistent human insecurity in Haiti despite the exceptional humanitarian efforts made since the 2010 earthquake. This according to a report published on Monday by the Paris-based International Human Rights Group, FIDH. The report, compiled with the Haitianbased groups, the National Human Rights Defense Network (RNDDH) and the Ecumenical Center for Human Rights (CEDH), noted that almost three years after the earthquake that killed an estimated 300,000 people and left more than a million others homeless, more than 80 per cent of the population still live below the poverty line. For the roughly 370,000 victims of the earthquake still living in displaced person camps, the situation deteriorates by the day, the human rights groups say, noting that living conditions in the camps are shameful and getting worse.

According to court documents, between 2007 and 2011, Watts filed false federal income tax returns in the names of deceased taxpayers seeking fraudulent refunds. Watts either signed the name of the deceased taxpayer to the tax return, or

As part of the scheme, Watts filed over 470 false federal income tax returns, claiming fraudulent refunds in excess of $120 million, and the IRS issued refunds in excess of $10 million. Watts directed the IRS to either mail the refund checks to an address he controlled or to electronically deposit the refund into a bank account under his control. While all taxpayers are victims when criminals file false tax returns using stolen identities, those who falsely use the names of deceased individuals add to the grief and burdens of their families, said Kathryn Keneally,

amaican sprint, star Yohan Blake is looking to improve technical aspects of his race ahead of next year's World Championships in Moscow, Russia. The London Olympic Games double silver medallist ended last season in sensational form, including sprinting to a whirlwind personal best clocking of 9.69s in Lausanne, Switzerland in August. Blake said his pre-season training is already in full swing as he seeks to build the platform for his 100-metre title defense in Moscow. "My coach Glen Mills is a great coach, so right now, he is guiding me on how to keep my hands working forward. Blake cruised to the 100-metre World Championships crown in Daegu, South Korea last year after Racers Track Club teammate and Olympic champion Usain Bolt false-started and was eliminated from the race. Since then Blake upstaged Bolt at the Jamaica Senior Trials in the 100 and 200 metres events,

nsurance executive, Raymond Tim Kee, was elected unopposed as the new president of the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation (TTFF) at the TTFF congress on Sunday November 11. Tim Kee, the only nominated candidate, acquired the position without receiving a vote, after former national cricketer Colin Murrays decision to step down nine days before the election. The new president is expected to face immediate challenges including an unsettled bonus dispute between the federation and 13 players of the T&T World Cup 2006 squad. He is also expected to try and mend a disjointed relationship between the TTFF and the Ministry of Sport, which has led to public wrangling between officials of the two entities and affected the flow of funds to the national senior team.

MUSCAT, Oman (AFP): hinji Okazaki scored a late winner as Asian champions Japan edged Oman 21 to zero in on a berth at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil recently. Oman had not lost at home in the final round of qualifiers and Ahmed Mubarak's 77th-minute free kick looked like preserving their unbeaten streak, after Hiroshi Kiyotake's first goal for Japan had put the visitors in front. But Okazaki had the last word when he scored from close range after a break down the left, putting Alberto Zaccheroni's men provisionally eight points clear at the top of Group B with three games to play. Japan were weakened by the injuryenforced absence of Manchester United midfielder Shinji Kagawa and Schalke defender Atsuto Uchida, while Hiroki Sakai started at right back in place of Yuichi Komano, who hurt his back in training.

angladesh struggled in reply to a massive total set by West Indies and faced the prospects of following on after Shivnarine Chanderpaul hit a brilliant double-century in the first Test. Tamim Iqbal, 72, Naeem Islam, 108 and Shakib 89 made reputable scores as the hosts ended the second day on 455-6, to avoid the follow-on, after the West Indies declared their first innings close on a mammoth 527-4 at tea, with Chanderpaul equaling his best Test score of 203 not out. Both Chanderpaul and Denesh Ramdin, who remained unbeaten on 126, piled on the pressure for a clueless home team as they put on 296 for the unbroken fifth-wicket stand a new record in Bangladesh-West Indies Tests. Chanderpaul, 38, reached his landmark from 367 balls, when he turned a delivery from Sohag Gazi into mid-wicket for a deuce. He is now level with the peerless Garfield Sobers on the list of century-makers in Tests from West Indies with 26.

How to teach your child to be charitable
www.servicesforkids.com citywidetherapy@hotmail.com 1-888-255-5064.

Many children are being bombarded by media coverage of the extent of suffering and hardship in Haiti and other part of the world. They have also witnessed frequent requests by various organizations, schools, and churches, encouraging people to donate funds and supplies to help the Haitian people. Initially, young children may not make the association of how giving a dollar at school could help save lives of people in Haiti. You can help develop charitable qualities in your child by first practicing what your preach. Becoming involved in charity efforts is a great way of showing how helping others is considered responsible behavior and actually brings positive feelings of relief and peace in light of such a tragedy. Many young children may become anxious as a result of, frequently hearing about or seeing vivid images of suffering; it is always a great idea to limit this exposure. However, children can also get a sense of empowerment that comes from feeling that they made a difference in the lives of those who are less fortunate. Particularly for young children, discuss the differences between Haiti and the United States in regard to tangible resources, such as hospitals and money.

Dr. Karen Gordon is a licensed psychologist with 13 years experience, specializing in disruptive behaviors in children and adolescents. If you have a question or concern, please forward by emailing her at: citywidetherapy@hotmail.com

This should deepen your childs understanding of how natural disasters (earthquakes) could further destroy a country even after the earthquakes have ended. On the other hand, adolescents may be more directived and want to assist, but may not know where or how to begin. Parents mistakenly assume they have little influence on their teenagers, but this just applies to their choice in peers and music. In other areas, such as religion and political beliefs, parents have considerable influence on teens values and beliefs. Thus, get involved and encourage your teenagers desire to find an organization that interests him/her. For example, your teen might prefer to donate to a more hip foundation thats featured on a music channel or that is organized by a famous musician or rapper. In addition, they may want to donate through text or their school rather than an organization you are involved with. Remember, the important thing is that they are interested in affecting their world in a positive way. You can always influence their critical thinking skills by helping them find out information on the charity such as, the percent of proceeds that go to Haiti or what the organization buys with the monetary donations.

Anti-Bullying: Ashley Alexander (2nd from left) and Phylicia Samuels (2nd from right), Pathfinder members who experienced bullying, with friends Alana and Dorothy.

BY DONNA LAMB ust days after a 15-year-old high school freshman in Staten Island leaped to her death in front of a train after being repeatedly harassed by classmates, the Flatbush Seventh-Day Adventist Church's Flatbush Stars Pathfinder Club held an AntiBullying Parade and Fair. As participants of all ages marched from the Flatbush Ave. Junction to the church at 261 E. 21st St., several youths gave out United Federation of Teachers fliers, informing people of the union's Be Brave against Bullying initiative, which has a confidential anti-bullying hotline for students at (212) 709-3222, Mon.- Fri. 2:30 to 9:30 p.m. Parade participants also handed out an anti-bullying resource guide listing online and local resources that offer information, lessons and presentations on bullying and bullying related topics. For some of the young marchers, the issue of bullying was very immediate. Ashley Alexander, for instance, a sixth grader at I.S. 239, said that a friend and she were going up the stairs when two seventh grade girls pushed them down the stairs,

grabbed their stuff and threw it on the floor. Phylicia Samuels, a fifth grader at Fahari Academy Charter School, told of a frightening bullying incident her first day at school. "This girl was being mean because she was jealous of me because I did all my work and everything," Phylicia said. "She started calling me bad words and started pushing me. Then she took my bag and threw it down the stairs into the garbage." It was hearing about incidents like this that inspired Delroy Cooper, Dir. of the church's Pathfinder Club, and Authrine Gordon to organize this anti-bullying parade and fair. "Our mission is to unite our community and have a positive impact on our youth while we prayerfully hope to stop the violence in our schools and neighborhood," Cooper stated. Following the parade, the Flatbush Seventh-Day Adventist Church's pastor, Richard Cahhoun, made everyone feel welcome in the church's large meeting room where parents and children were able to pick up safety information provided by the New York City Fire Dept, listen to several speakers, and enjoy a nice lunch.

uch. We've all had to suffer with razor burn at one time or another. Razor burn is a fairly common skin condition that occurs after shaving when the skin becomes inflamed, red, and irritated. It can be painful, unsightly, and especially bothersome for those with sensitive skin. With the right precautions, however, it can be avoided. Here's how to prevent razor burn. First, it is important to use the proper shaving technique. For additional protection, follow my five tips for preventing razor burn. Exfoliate. Before shaving (after a shower, of course), scrub your face with a facial scrub or loofa to remove dead skin and bring out ingrown hairs. Lubricate. Use a good shaving cream instead of a soap or foam. Look for a cream rich in glycerin and coconut oil and free of alcohol. Avoid products with menthol, which can numb the skin and make it hard to determine if you're experiencing razor drag. For those with especially sensitive skin, a pre-shave oil can work to further reduce razor drag. Stay Sharp. Always use sharp blades. A dull blade is one of the leading causes of razor burn. To make sure you've always got the sharpest blades possible, replace the cartridge every five to seven days. To preserve the blade, dip your razor in alcohol after the final rinse. Rinse your blade often using cool water to remove shaving cream, oils, and whiskers. Go Lightly. Shave with the grain to decrease the odds of irritation and inflamed skin. When shaving, avoid pressing down too hard on the blade and shave using short strokes. Avoid passing the blade over the same area more than once as each pass shaves off a small layer of skin.

CARE

Bronx master barbers (l-r) Robert, Brent and Andrew of Domer Groomers at a recent event in New York City.

Find a shampoo that lathers less. Sudsy doesnt necessarily mean cleansometimes, it means the opposite. Shampoos that lather too much are often overloaded with moisturizing products, which can leave build-up in your hair, making it look and feel dirtier quicker. So opt for a sulfatefree formula.

Rising Reggae Songstress Releases New Single

By Ken Miller kenmiller4u@hotmail.com 718-8076241 n this day and age, it is absolutely essential to protect your computer against a virus. With credit card information being exchanged online, important data on your hard drive, confidential emails in your account, as well as personal data that you would like to preserve, a virus is literally a messiah of doom. To protect your computer against virus, follow the tips mentioned below.

Top 7 Tips To Protect Your Computer From Viruses

NOVEMBER 1-18, 2012 STREET HYPE 17

1. Install an antivirus software Make sure you have at least one trustworthy antivirus software installed. You can choose from free softwares available online, or purchase one. Make sure that you check out the reviews, and ensure that the software has not expired. 2. Use your anti-virus software Just installing one wont do. Configure it so that it scans your system regularly on its own. Also, enable automatic update option so that newer versions are installed on your system. This will ensure protection against newly discovered viruses. 3. Be smart when surfing online If an email seems fake (like the one offering you a million dollars) or a link seems fraudulent, do not click on it. If it involves a transaction, double check by contacting the concerned authorities. Enable https secure browsing on as many sites as possible. If your anti-virus software warns you about a website, do not open it.

4. Scan any external media before accessing it Never open a USB Drive, external hard drive, or even a DVD before running an antivirus scan over it. Most of the times, viruses are transferred through such media. 5. Download security updates for your operating system Every operating system releases security updates regularly. Make sure you download and install them. 6. Never exchange passwords online Even if it is with your best friend, never exchange a password, or any confidential information via email, or a messenger. If absolutely necessary, communicate it over the phone. 7. Scan the content that you download You can never be sure that the file you just downloaded contains a virus or not. So scan your downloads before you use them. These easy to implement tips will go a long way in protecting your system against malicious viruses, threats, worms, and all things bad!

elationship is one of the most important key areas in our life. Almost everything we do involves a relationship in our family life, in business dealings, at work, in the social circle, with friends and so forth. It is very essential for us to find out who all the important people in our life are and how to have harmonious relationships with them. So often we try our level best to control, manage and change others; however, the results are negative by far. People normally dont change unless they want to and are committed towards the change. Really speaking, you just cannot change anyone except yourself. When you change yourself, the world around you also changes automatically and at least 70 % of your problems, in terms of relationships, get resolved. Criticism: Whenever we criticize someone, we stop our ability to take a clear look at the situation. Criticizing is very harmful, because whenever we call someone arrogant or useless for example, we start seeing that person as arrogant or useless. Our mind, unconsciously or subconsciously, keeps on picking up and finding out those negative traits in that person. Thus, we become unable to deal with that person as a unique individual. Blaming: Blaming is also very harmful. When we blame someone else for the problems in our life, we become a passive victim of circumstances and it becomes very diffi-

cult for us to change our situation. Many relationships are ruined by people who blame their partners when things go wrong. They take little responsibility for their problems. When something goes wrong at home or at work, they try to find someone to blame. They rarely admit their own problems, faults or mistakes. Acceptance: We must stop trying to change others, as there is enough scope for change in us. No one is perfect; hence, there is a lot of room for improvement in us. Accept people as they are and not as you wish they were. Dont expect them to behave the way you want. As a matter of fact, the best thing is not to expect anything from anybody. I know I am asking too much, but that is one of the ways to happiness. Be a little detached, if not completely. Source: www. selfgrowth.com

Dear Divine Diva: efore we went on vacation, we trusted our 15year-old neighbor "Mia" to feed our cat, take in the mail and water the plants. While we were away, she invited some of her friends and their friends to our home. Some of them she knew by their nicknames and only for a short time. When Mia's parents learned about the party, they forbade her to go. However, she failed to mention she had left our door unlocked for strangers to enter. It was obvious when we returned that peo-

ple had been there because things were out of place and garbage was left behind. We're missing about $100 worth of beer and liquor, $50 in change and $150 in old coins. Mia claims she doesn't know who was there, and her friends aren't being honest. I'd like to get the police involved. Mia, her parents and my husband think I'm "unfair" for wanting to involve the police. I believe a crime has been committed and don't understand why I'm being treated like the bad guy when I'm the victim. The police have told

me Mia would not get into trouble as long as she cooperates. Am I overreacting? - CK, Mount Vernon Dear CK: I don't think so. The party animals who invaded your home are guilty of trespassing and theft. You should be compensated for anything that was taken and those responsible held accountable. Now that the "kids" have seen where everything of value in your house is located, you could be further victimized. You did the right thing in informing the police. -Always, Divine Diva

ARIES (Mar. 21 Apr. 19): Even if you have too much going on, you still should be able to find time for enjoyment without necessarily going into denial about everything else. You have a wonderful ability to be in the present moment. TAURUS (Apr. 20May 20): Take the good times as they come now, for they won't last forever. However, there is no reason to be afraid of what is around the bend. GEMINI (May 21 Jun. 20): Although at other times you might lightheartedly avoid this type of interaction, you are currently more than ready to express your heart. CANCER (Jun. 21-Jul. 22): Although you are riding a wave of unexpressed feelings that may be rising to the surface, they are not strong enough to pull you away from the sweeter side of life. LEO (Jul. 23 Aug. 22): Good news is heading your way but you must be open to the message or it could pass by unnoticed. Romantic love may be involved, but the rewards are less emotional than practical. VIRGO (Aug. 23 Sept. 22): Emotional disclosure isn't your normal style, you feel safe enough now to take more of a chance with your heart. However, the problem is that once you begin to share today, it may be difficult to know when to stop. lthough the holiday can be a time for great fun and entertainment amongst family and friends, unfortunately it can also be a time of sadness for many who have lost loved ones during this time or for others who are reminiscing about their loved ones. These special tips are bite- sized nuggets to consider whether your sadness is due to bereavement or due to physical separation of your loved one beyond your control. 1. Plan pamper moments. Plan something special for yourself such as lunch out with a special friend or family member. Other activity may be a visit to the hair or nail salon or any other activity that may help to add to a meaningful day. 2. Listen to music that enlivens your spirit and strengthens positive emotions. 3. Steer your mind towards positive thoughts or experiences. This good habit will keep your immune system strong. 4. If you are unemployed, find an organization of interest and volunteer your time. Your self-giving attitude may reward you with a job at the same organization should a vacancy becomes available and you are qualified for it. 5. Eat nutritiously and exercise as often as possible. This will increase your energy and ward off the fatigue of boredom or sadness.

Allow time for reflection in order to express appreciation and gratitude especially for the small things that make a difference in your life. 7. Read. Read. Read. You may be surprised to see how this exercise can refresh your mind. 8. Accept the weather changes that come with this season. The Power of Nature is supreme and cannot be controlled by human hands. Acceptance helps. 9. Share your joy with others. A smile goes a long way that can brighten someones day and usually leaves one feeling better also! 10. Practice deep breathing and relaxation. This often recommended activity is still rarely taken. Try it and note the benefits it yields, before long you will see, your sadness eventually passes away! here is an abundance of delicious foods available during the holidays. However, this does not mean you should eat every option available to you. Portion size and good selection is key. Eat the lean parts of whatever meat you choose for Thanksgiving. Choose foods cooked with less fat and sugar, and foods with several vegetables and fruits. Taking small portions of the foods you eat will reduce your chances of over eating. DO NOT EAT MORE to be polite to your guest! You do not have to show your appreciation to your guest by taking big portions of their food preparations. If you are offered more, decline politely and explain you want to eat in moderation to maintain a healthy weight. Choose fruits if available at deserts and if you must have a pie TAKE A SMALL PORTION OF PIE. Indeed, you do not want to gain excess weight to the extent that once the spring and summer season comes you are in dire need of losing weight.

he time has come when landlords and prospective tenants in New York City be fully aware of the mode of operation of unethical real estate agents and the observable increase in the number of individuals acting in the capacity as licensed agents. Many realtors are now united in their efforts to abolish fraud and restore professionalism to, and respect for the real estate business. Landlords and prospective tenants need to understand the current corrupt trends. They must constantly reject the advances of unscrupulous and unlicensed agents, this will purge the community of corruption and protect unsuspecting landlords and tenants against fraud and deception. How do these unlicensed and unethical agents proceed in victimizing landlords and prospective tenants? The deceptive agents solicit listings and often rent apartments without providing proof of their affiliation with a licensed real estate brokerage entity. Landlords and prospective tenants must, at all times, demand a copy of the license of the brokerage firm, a business card with the name, address, and telephone number of the brokerage firm. And most importantly, the agent must show a NYS real estate picture identification. Do not do business with agents who cannot produce a NYS real estate picture identification, do not provide them with apartment listings and do not rent apartments from them. A fraudulent real estate agent and unlicensed agents will not produce any of the above documents. It is imperative that as landlords or prospective tenants that you see and confirm the validity of those documents before listing your apartment or home with an individual claiming to be a licensed real estate agent. Landlords and prospective tenants, be aware!, unlicensed and unethical real estate agents will find excuses for not having a copy of the brokerage firm license, and they will not be a willing to produce a NYS real estate picture identification. In order to be victorious against the army of unlicensed agents and corrupt

Look out for those Unethical Real Estate Agents

agents, prospective tenants must remember not to pay a fee to real estate agents who cannot produce proof that he/she is a licensed real estate broker. The fee for services rendered must be paid to a licensed broker, not to a licensed agent. In contrast, professional real estate agents will readily produce proof of their affiliation. They will be quick to show their NYS real estate picture identification, and often, they will extend an invitation to their customers and clients to visit the brokerage firm principal of branch office. The fraudulent agents will do business in their car or on the street. Lets unite in the struggle against fraud and deception in the real estate business. Its time that we protect the public against the ravages of so many unethical and unlicensed real estate agents. -Realtors in the public interest.

ow that the United States 2012 Presidential elections are over the campaign for the most intense election to be conducted on planet earth continues. Who will you cast your vote for? The Candidates: The Lord Jesus Christ who is holy, just, true, righteous, full of love, mercy and compassion according to the Bible and Satan that liar, destroyer and killer, called the devil according to scripture. The Issues: You are a sinner- For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Rom. 3:23). A holy God cannot allow you into heaven until your sins are confessed and removed. Also, you have a never-dying soul which is going to be either eternally saved in heaven or eternally lost in hell (Math. 25:46). You see, if you accept Him today, you will be saved (John 3:16-17) but if you reject Him it mean that you choose to go to hell and GOD has no choice but to send you there. How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation (Hebrews 2:3) The Promises: 1) Cleansing The blood of Jesus Christ cleansed us from all sin (1 John 1:7). 2) Eternal Life The Gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. 3) Peace Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God. (Romans 5:1) 4) Freedom Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. (Rom.8:2)

5) Power God the Holy Spirit lives in all believers to help, guide, and empower them (Ephes. 1:13) and an Inheritance that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you (1 Peter 1:4) The Decision: You know the issues. You know whats been promised. Now you must either cast your vote for JESUS by repenting of your sins and placing your trust in Him or cast your vote for Satan and dont be deceived into thinking that there is a third choice. There is no other way. Jesus said, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me. Reader, face this vital matter right now, look up the scriptures and weigh the facts carefully and soberly before you cast your vote. I urged you to vote for JESUS the Giver of Life Party Candidate and to chase Satan away from your polling station. Finally, your heart is your polling station and your vote will be counted and published on judgment Day. Vote now because after death is your judgment.
